I highly recommend Thompson’s Moving Company for all local and long distance moves. I moved from Maryland to South Carolina. The office personnel were very helpful scheduling the move, and the movers were friendly, courteous, and were great with wrapping, boxing, carrying, and loading my belongings on their truck. They had to carry my furniture and boxes down 3 flights of stairs. They handled everything with care and secured every item in the truck.

I never write positive reviews but these guys were so great I feel compelled. My team consisted of 4 guys and two trucks. They were polite, timely, efficient, and helpful. I will never use another company. Do yourself a favor and hire them - no questions asked. They are a real pleasure during a super stressful time!

Team showed up on time, took great to insure nothing could be damaged in transit. Team was courteous and hustled the entire time. Would without a doubt use Thompson Moving Inc again!

You could not anywhere ask for better movers,from time of contact to initial meeting of movers till end.Jamie excels in perfection on every aspect of your move ,small or large..My guys went up and above to make my move smooth in spite of rain.this is my second move and I will have 1 more final one in near future and without a doubt THOMPSONS on my speed dial..If you want dependability, and a company and owner with workers with respect, don't hesitate to make your move stress free and book with them,you will be glad you did..love them.Wish I could rate greater than 5 ? ?

I would've given a higher rating as the movers were very nice and accommodating but there were 2 things that occurred that prevent the higher rating:1. We were moving out of state and they left our home to go to the new house without saying anything to either me or my partner. This was a problem because we weren't finished and once we noticed they left, had to scramble to leave and a lot of stuff was left behind that we had to come back and deal with several times.2. We had a new television that was mounted to the wall, they took it down and put it in the truck. Unbeknownst to us, they did not wrap it properly and the screen cracked and therefore it was ruined (see attached photos). We called to tell them about it, talked to someone in the office who assured us she would pass on the message when the manager returned to the office - they still have not gotten back to us - contacted 3 times over the last 2 weeks - about compensation/reimbursement for the damage. Additionally, they returned with a second truck the next morning and a few young men to help that on our observation should've been supervised more closely.This move was very expensive and we are disappointed about the poor customer service and lack of attention to our issue.We of course contacted the credit card company but are clearly disappointed in the customer service/lack of response.

Very professional crew that worked carefully and efficiently. Scheduling was easy and they went out of their way to contact me when they lost my phone number. The crew went above and beyond stacking some heavy pieces, and didn't break or even scratch a single thing. They also charged me the quoted price per hour despite having an extra worker! We moved onto APG and they successfully navigated a gate closure. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I cannot say enough how fantastic these movers were! They moved a very large, VERY heaveyAmish made solid oak desk into my new home. They disassembled it, moved it down a steep flight of stairs, transported it, and reassembled it in two hours. Zero damage to the furniture or to either home. Considering the job they did, the price was very reasonable! Will definitely use this company again if I ever have moving needs. Thank you!!

If I could give zero stars I would for this company. I’m at my storage unit and a Thompson’s Moving company truck pulls off. I’m excited because my movers can now use the main entrance/loading dock that’s straight ahead of my unit. I’ve hired a small business and I’m paying by the hour which is an inconvenience for my movers to have to use a separate entrance that doesn’t have a ramp. I pull in to hold the spot while they’re loading a huge standing mirror with the intent to move once they were able to back up. One of the movers got out of the truck and walked up to my vehicle and stated, “that I needed to move because they have another truck”. Had he asked politely and not felt so entitled I probably would have pulled off and told my guys to continue using the loading dock further down. The worker from Thompson’s moving company proceeds to get the driver. The driver now approaches my vehicle aggressively saying we were here first and have another truck to unload. I’m a woman and I have two men approaching my vehicle. One of the male drivers then proceeds to to threaten me by saying just block her in….There are 4 grown men with this company and I’m alone. Not a great idea. Blocking someone from freely leaving at they’re will is kidnapping. He proceeds to take photos of my vehicle in the front and of my license plate. At this point i’m feeling overwhelmed and anxious. I have PTSD. I’m active duty and stationed less than 5 miles from the storage facility and I’ve never felt unsafe for the quick moment that I did. I will NEVER use nor recommend this company and do intend to share my experience with the highest leaders affiliated with APG to ensure they aren’t hired for families moving to and from APG. After getting off of the phone with my husband one of the younger employees (an African America male) walked over and politely asked if they could share the space and I obliged. He was very polite. There was more than enough room to share and here’s a lesson to the unprofessional young men who threatened to block me in, asked politely and sharing could have easily been the initial resolution. Stop feeling so entitled, thinking you have the right to force someone to move.

Had them move us yesterday horrible experience they charged us for extra man and truck used 4th of second truck and tried to set up another moved on Friday to get rest of stuff they left and charge us for an addtional move. We moved the rest took 4 truck loads. If that's not bad enough they left all the boxes pulled 4 high in living room now we have to move all boxes into the right room....Charged 2800 do not recommend

The crew moved me from Middletown PA to Joppa MD. The drive alone exhausted me..but these guys took all of our things from a 2nd floor apartment to a 3rd floor, steep stairs apartments and barely broke a sweat. I felt so bad but they continued carrying multiple boxes, wrapping furniture, putting down pads..so professional and friendly. This is my new crew when I move out and buy my house. Thanks to my realtor Jessica Greer at Black Dog Realty for telling me about these guys!
