Convinced my buddy to get a copy of Pokemon sapphire from these guys today, the saved file had a Pokemon colosseum Jirachi on the saved file, we also happened to buy a link cable and were able to transfer him to my copy of emerald and finally complete a 20 year goal of obtaining a Jirachi on emerald through legitimate means….
Also have been here multiple times and had a great experience, but this was what made me write the review so whatever

I bought a Sega Saturn here and couldn’t get it working. Went back to return it, fully ready to be angry. But the guy and girl working there were totally cool, sympathetic and patient with me. We sat there for like 45 minutes testing everything, trying to narrow down the issue, testing out replacements until settling on one I was satisfied with. Then at the end, the guy (I’m sorry I never got your name) threw some store credit in for the trouble - ensuring I’d have to come back (smart move!)
Good customer service really can turn a bad situation around. And I’m happy about it because the store has tons of cool games.

It pains me to not give this place a 5 star bc the stuff they sell is awesome . The Jason Paige meet and greet was super cool and fun . My reason for a 4 star is because I was just there the other day and I was looking at records and I overheard the staff talking near the back about how they wish people stopped treating them like a record shop and focus more on the video games and cards . I guess my question would be why do you have such a good selection of vinyl if you do not want to be taken as a record shop? I mean yes you sell a variety of your items but you are a shop that indeed sells records and a good amount of them . So if you don’t want customers to come in and buy records don’t sell them ? Didn’t make a lot of sense to me . And made me feel like I wasn’t really wanted in the store since i was mostly wanting to buy records that day. But I would still say go check this place out . It is awesome . Maybe that one time was just a weird experience .

Great place to check out at least 1-2 times a month, even if you just wanna browse like i do
seen some prices i disagree with but realistically thats just how things happen, the prices shift, people make errors, or i may just simply disagree. come back in a week? it might be different
overall the prices are fair, both for selling and buying
if you don't agree with a price when selling? you can ask them why and the staff will explain to you why they gave it that price. even to someone who isn't too knowledgeable its easy to understand and polite
never met a staff member there i didn't get along with, honestly hope they hire someday as id love to be there.
its in a good location as well, so its easy to go in, buy something, go nearby and get something to eat, and have a nice relaxing evening.
if i had to say one negative? they tend to not update their site enough, and aren't the best at marketing. but the owner seems aware of that and its been getting better

Friendly service, lowest prices ive seen on retro games (absolutely zero price gouging), great vibes for anyone who wants to go back to the 90s. Extensive selection of vhs, vinyl, and games all the way from NES to PS4.

Had two bad experiences with an employee of the store.
I was at the shop in Joppa market and this older gentleman was arguing and berating a younger employee for not purchasing a PS1. The employee said they had a bunch in the back and didn't think they needed to make the purchase. This entire argument took place in the middle of the shop in front of all the customers. I had to wait for this dude to stop belittling the young guy to purchase my stuff.
I called today the main shop today and I think the same guy answered the phone and he was rude on the phone when I was asking about product in stock.
I felt bad for the kid that was getting berated in front of all these people and it makes me not want to shop there. I wouldn't have put up with someone talking to me like that for sure.

This is by far the best retro game store in America. The selection is unbelievable, and the staff/owner is so kind and helpful.
