I’m very happy with the care my mom is receiving—everything has been great like food and activities, but especially the care and attention they give my mom. The staff is really really caring and they know my mom personally, like when she likes to get up, or go for a walk outside, or get a snack and that helps me feel ok about her being there even though at the beginning it was difficult for her ( and me) to make the change. So grateful to everyone. And also they are very on top of the medical things for my mom and have a great doctor nurse and physical therapy. Just a great experience and frequent communication always feel welcome to ask the manager questions and she is really available and gets right back to me. Thanks team!

If I could give Bel Air Assisted Living 6 stars, I would. Everyone from owner, management to caregivers has been more than caring and supportive. This is uncharted territory for me and a very difficult, emotional journey with my loved one but I am comfortable and confident that I've made a wise choice in placing my loved one with Bel Air Assisted Living. I have to give a special 'shout out' to manager, Danielle, who is extremely patient and responsive to all of my many questions along this journey. The caregivers are so kind, the facility is always clean and welcoming. While I continue to cope with my loved one's condition, I now have peace of mind that my loved one is in good hands.

Awesome staff who go above and beyond! They take amazing care of our mother and are very attentive to her needs. She gets one on one care and attention and is treated like an individual, which is so important! The staff is great at communicating with us so we always know how she's doing. It's been a huge relief for us knowing she is somewhere safe and being well cared for.

We placed my grandmother in this facility, believing she would be safe and well cared for by a skilled, honest and compassionate staff. We were mistaken. Realizing our error, we began the process of moving her out and into a credible continuous care facility, while following Bel Air Assisted Living's Termination of Contract protocol. During this time, our loved one failed to receive the level of care she required when the extra assistance was needed the most. Her health declined as a direct result of poor communication between management and an improperly trained/certified staff. Had it not been for our family's relentless intervention, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother would not be with us today, months after her shameful ordeal, as I write this review. DON'T be fooled by an idyllic setting. Luxury living DOES NOT necessarily equate to employing a Quality staff that gives Quality senior care. DON’T be misled into a false sense of security by inflated advertising or from management's boastful claims. RESEARCH. To find the quality measures and complaint history for a specific Maryland assisted living residence in the Maryland Guide to Long Term Care Services, I urge you to go to the Maryland Health Care Commission website before finalizing your decision. You DO NOT want to subject your senior loved one to the ill-treatment ours endured.**The sheer length of Bel Air Assisted Living’s response to my review is very telling. When you find a facility that you like, talk privately to the residents and the families of residents both past and present. Ask the right questions, do your RESEARCH and don’t allow yourself to be misled into a false sense of security.-There are no national standardized quality measures for assisted living residences like those for nursing homes and home health agencies.-In order to ensure the safety and well-being of assisted living residents, Maryland has several regulations that facilities are required to follow. Deficiencies are violations of these regulations which result from annual surveys or complaint investigations.-The Maryland Office of Health Care Quality conducts Health Surveys annually. Facilities can anticipate when a survey will take place and in an attempt to avoid deficiencies, will work tirelessly to spruce up areas that need improvement in the time leading up to it. Complaint Inspections are performed as necessary.-To find the quality measures and complaint history for a specific Maryland assisted living facility, go to the MHCC website and select Services Search.** BOTTOM LINE IS THIS…Bel Air Assisted Living’s negligence and poorly qualified staff would have cost my grandmother her life had our family not intervened. She has been thriving at a Brightview facility since January 2021. There is no disputing facts. I strongly recommend doing your research before making a final decision for your loved one.

My aunt is doing really well at Bel Air Assisted Living, and our family is happy with the decision we made, especially now we are glad we picked a smaller facility. They are doing a really great job keeping everyone informed about what is going on, and the porch visits are nice, too. She really likes the food!

Beautiful, well maintained place for your loved ones to reside. The staff work hard to engage all the residents and there is always someone available to assist when help is needed. I have found everyone on the team to be engaged, attentive and responsive. You can tell that all members of the team care about their residents and work diligently to make sure they are not only taken care of but have the opportunity to thrive.

My mother in law needed a place to stay after some medical issues, and we feel so blessed that we found Bel Air! The building itself looks like a home, and the staff and the residents made her feel at home right away. While it clearly was not her own home, we were all surprised at how comfortable she felt there. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of Bel Air and how well run it is. I’m so glad Mom is home now but I’m so glad to know this place exists if we need it in the future. Thank you!
