My husband and I have been loyal customers at this location, but our recent experience was very frustrating. We were quoted a price for a brake check/replacement and assured multiple times that we would receive a discount. First, we were told it would be 10%, and later, when the car wasnât ready on time, we were told the discount would increase to 20% for the inconvenience.
However, when we paid, the discount applied was far less than promised and capped at $125âsomething that was never mentioned. On top of that, the actual discount was less than 10%. We reached out to address this issue but never received a response.
This lack of transparency and follow-through is unacceptable. Weâve trusted this location in the past, but after this experience, weâre seriously reconsidering whether weâll return.

My 2021 Tucson was stolen and they repaired it here. They SUPPOSEDLY installed the ANTI-THEFT SOFTWARE, but it was stolen again 2 days ago. That's why I alerted that this software is useless. Be careful.

Just got my 5th car there. I know most people hate the dealer experience so when you do get a dealer that is great then you stick with them. Ive also had positive experiences with the service department. Always quick and polite. Update: I've never had a positive experience dealing with the parts department in fact I was told I was not a customer and had never bought any of my 5 cars there. So sales 5 star service 5 stars parts 2 star

Costs across the board are way to high. I feel that the dealerships are in position to beat pricing of other non dealer repair/service/tire shops but choose not to.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I brought my Vehicle into the dealership because it was making a noise as it wasnât clicking over to start. I had already had two brand new alternators put in my car within a week of bringing it to the dealership. I had two batteries put in my car. The dealership did on my car and told me that it needed a brand new alternator again. Before they even told me the real problem on my car, they tried listing 16 different repairs my car âneededâ. We were moving forward with getting the alternator replaced and I was told it would be ready the following Monday. This was on a Friday, but I was told it be ready on Monday. I called Monday with no response from anyone at the dealership. I called Tuesday multiple times again no response until 6 oâclock at night after I had requested to speak to the manager multiple times and left voicemails. I finally got an answer that they ordered the wrong part for my car and they were having the right one put on and I should have it by Thursday afternoon at the latest. I followed up again Thursday afternoon and was told that it wasnât ready yet that I would get it no question Friday by lunchtime. I followed up again Friday at lunchtime and was told my car wasnât yet ready. I called again around 2:30 again was told they were working on paperwork. They will call me when itâs ready to pick up. I had to call the dealership back at 4:30 and finally somebody told me just to come in and pick up my car. Letâs just keep in mind I had been without my vehicle for 3 1/2 weeks. I came in Friday night had the most horrible customer service in person after multiple phone calls getting passed around from voice out of voicemail. I couldnât even speak to the manager. I finally get my car to my car to get it off the lot and had to request somebody to come out to my car. My engine cover was missing off my car , when I finally got to the place I originally bought my battery from and got it replaced under warranty. My car was still having the same issues I had when I brought it into the dealership. I called the dealership immediately and they told me oh well itâs 10 minutes past our closing time thereâs nobody here and you have to bring it in tomorrow morning. So I brought it in first thing Saturday morning at 7 oâclock in the morning and I was told I had to bring it back after the holiday on Tuesday because they only work on oil changes on Saturdays. So I was without a car again over the holiday weekend . Tuesday morning comes around. I canât even start my car. I called the dealership spoke to somebody on the phone asked them what I could do. They sent out two guys to come jump my car to get it back to the dealership. The gentleman who came out were very nice, but they hooked up the jump box to my car, incorrectly, and fried my ground wire . Then told me that I needed to pay for tow to the dealership and they would have the manager and one of their reps call me that day to discuss what we needed to do. I ended up calling the dealership that afternoon because I had not heard back from them since 1030 that morning . I still have yet to receive a call from the manager or the lady that I left a voicemail with. This was over a week ago. I am so upset with this dealership. I ended up getting my car fixed and the whole entire issue to begin with was a ground wire. The ground wire needed to be replaced and the dealership could not tell me that. The car was dogged for a whole entire week and youâre telling me that after Having the alternator replaced multiple times and the battery replaced multiple times that you couldnât tell me there was a ground wire issue?
I will never return to this dealership. I would rather drive out to Towson then ever come back to this dealership. It was the worst experience I ever had as a first time there Iâve never been so disappointed in my life

DO NOT BUY A CAR OR TRY TO GET SERVICE HERE. You will regret it. If I could give this dealership less than 1 star I would. The management here could care less if they are rude, ignorant or costing customers valuable time and money. Their answer is that they welcome the bad reviews. What kind of nonsense is that?! They had my car 3 days and could not figure out what the issue was. The service writer was clueless. He told me they couldn't figure out if it was running lean or rich. It wasn't running at all. The runaround is not what you want or need when you are without transportation and cannot get to even speak to someone. NEVER AGAIN! Save yourself and go elsewhere. Thompson used to be a company owned by a local family and they did good business. I guess the Thompsons are so rich that they no longer care at all.

I had the best experience at Thompson Hyundai. My car needed a big repair. Corey and the service team did an amazing job! They took care of alot of things so I didn't have to worry about anything. I have been going there for a long time and always come out satisfied. They explain everything that is happening and the easiest way to fix it. They really do care about their customers. Definitely recommend this dealership and service department.

My experience at this particular location was very disappointing. I will never go to this particular location again.Iast year summer myself and my daughter went to this location i was really looking forward to getting a vehicle. But I noticed that all the sales men just looked at me as if they figured oh she is going to waste my time. Samuel Gibson did show me a few vehicles but my experience with him also was unpleasant tried to even give me a very low deal for my current car I had that day which was not even a good fair price. I think the moment I step into that showroom they knew that I was not going to get helped"You know that saying don't judge a book by its cover".After that experience I did not continue my search even my teenage daughter said something to me about the experience .All the sales Associate at this location need to go back to training.
Anyway lesson learn on 6/22/2024 I took my business to another location heritage hyundai in Towson and I got the best service I could ever wish for treated with respect and I did get a vehicle that day.

Worst body shop in MD. My car is still at their shop 8weeks later!!! Do not take your car here!! No help at all. Every time I call I get a different day for it to be complete. I will never take my car here ever again!!
