Amazing store however once they added a coffee shop they moved the vinyl up to the main section of the store which is a shame because it was extremely spacious and pleasant to browse through, It feels a little more cluttered browsing vinyl now but they still have an excellent selection

This has to be like the best record store in Maryland right? Go check it out!!! Then head on over to the worlds first Mini Hip-Hop Museum which isn't too far from here!

Great place for CD and blu-rays and awesome acoustic shows from your favorite band, I wish they had more space some times but seriously I love this place.

This joint deserves 10 MF'n STARS!
We like this place so much we drive 1.5 hrs to come here. If we are ever in town, we make a habit of stopping to check the ever rotating and updated stock. One of the best things about them is that they have quality, sought after media. Trust me, i know you have a list of stuff you're looking for to fill out your collection, and i guarantee they will have a high-quality version of at least some of that list. Anytime I've been here, I've found at least 1 thing i needed to have. On top of an amazing collection of stuff for you to dig through, they have the nicest, most knowledgeable staff also. They will hook you up and know almost exactly where everything is.
Just do yourself the favor and make the trip. You won't leave disappointed.

Went to this location for a listening party for a new album (George Strait - Cowboys and Dreamers). The staff were pleasant and conversational about the music despite not necessarily loving that genre of music.

It's the only real record store I know of left in Baltimore besides Normal's.
I went in to use a paper gift certificate from the year 2000. I happened to get one of the two people that was working there then when I went up to the cash register. He remembered me (I live in Seattle now) and I remembered him. He let me use the gift certificate and was so taken aback by it, he wanted to frame it and hang it up, lol. It was a great interaction.
Over the years, it's been a great store. I still collect mostly used CDs, no vinyl, so it's a bit modern for me. The selection is good but not great for me. For others, it probably is great. I have had.many many great finds their over the years. They are also cheaper than Seattle, so I buy new releases there if I'm on town.

Sound Garden is great record store - one of the best I’ve ever been to and certainly the best in Baltimore! The selection changes fast and there is always something to find (just takes some searching). If you’re new in town and a fan of music, make sure to stop by! It’s also a great place to sell your unwanted records, they don’t pay “top dollar,” but if you’re willing to do a trade they’ll throw in extra. If you’re a vinyl fanatic, go today ?
