Came here for the Sunday delivery - staying for the beautiful arrangements. This photo was grabbed from a larger pic and really doesn’t do the arrangement justice, but it was beautiful and substantial and truly unique. The price was quite competitive, too. Very happy with the first of what I know will be many orders from The Modest Florist.

I called and she said her name but I didn't hear it (I believe it was Libby) so i asked for it again and she said no. Then I introduced myself and my company because I wanted a floral package for the office (I didn't even get to get that far). I asked how she was doing and she responded "busy" then hung up the phone. Exceptionally rude.

I see a theme in the reviews that matches my experience: good at flowers, bad at logistics/service.My experience: Not a flower in sight on Feb 10. Busy time of year, understandably, but she was oddly rude and condescending, like it should be obvious that she would have no inventory today.

I love this place! Libby is always kind, friendly, and has the neighborhood updates! For years she made flowers for my grandfather each month. She also treats the neighborhood businesses and churches with special treatment. She is a community player who loves what she does! She actually sources the flowers herself so her hours are a bit wonky as a one-woman show. I recommend reaching out before stopping by. Local flowers without preservatives and from sustainable sources...and she delivers in an electric vehicle! Support the environment, support The Modest Florist!

I originally placed my order for pickup but got caught in traffic from DC to Baltimore and was unable to make it to the shop before closing time. Libby honored a last-minute delivery request to my friend’s event at Johns Hopkins with a lovely bouquet in tow. Superb customer service!

My love attends John Hopkins and is really far from me right now, so I ordered flowers from The Modest Florist so I could make sure she still got the treatment she deserves. I ordered the flowers from their website which was really easy to use. It was very easy to add a note and navigate the website. I didn't have a problem throughout the whole process. I selected the designer's choice option not knowing what to expect. I couldn't be happy with what she received. They are such a beautiful early fall selection and are amazing for the price I paid. I will be ordering from them again!

I had a wonderful experience getting fresh flowers here! The owner is so incredibly sweet and very knowledgeable. The bouquet was arranged perfectly, and the flowers were very fresh and vibrant.

The Modest Florist is a florist in Hampden (right on the Avenue). I've purchased flowers from them a few times. While I wish they could offer flowers by the stem so I could create my own bouquet/vase or that they had a greater variety of bouquets (most of the time I buy flowers, I'm buying them for myself to have around the house, but I have plenty of vases and would rather purchase a bouquet with a vase/jar since I don't want to keep collecting them), it's a great business to have near where I live! The service is great (the owner is lovely), and the bouquets/vases I've received from the Modest Florist are always beautiful. Whenever I need a vase to take to someone local, I'll be buying them here! The delivery service is also very convenient! I feel lucky to have them in Hampden!

Through planning, postponing, and replanning our event, Libby kept me updated on floral choices and order options and she was there placing vases when we arrived! Received many compliments on the flowers and she did it all.
