Self checkout is now 15 items or less. One single lane with a 15 minute wait for more than 15 items. When I spoke to a woman that identified herself as the store manager and let her know if this was the new policy I would not be coming back and would also transfer out my prescriptions she walked off and said “sorry about that” over her shoulder.
Shop elsewhere.

A bit pricey and dimly lit. Usually clean with ok customer service. The lot is pretty big with good parking. Their fresh produce is okay. Lines are usually pretty quick and the staff are friendly.

Very helpful staff at the self-checkouts. The store was clean. There was a variety of choices in every part of the store. I was looking for a particular hard-to-find item, and the store had it.

Prices are higher but you can find some good eats there fresh!

The employees there are so friendly and helpful. I love right next door so I see them all the time. The food and pricing is not nearly as good. I generally never get my fresh vegetables or fresh fruit from there because they never last more than a week. I like the 4 for $20 meat options there but most of the meat in those options would only feed two people.

Back story here before this shopping center came into existence on Hartford Rd. An MTA bus station was here back in the 70s. Myself and family left Maryland in 1984 to Germany as my parents were in the military. I was reminiscing about my childhood in Maryland, and saw many changes when I visited Maryland a few years back. The shopping center is nice, and the Safeway is a good choice for the area.
