Linda is the best hostess. She made us all feel at home and shared the interesting history of the home. She knows all about Baltimore and was an excellent source of what to do in the area. Breakfast was delicious each morning. She always had homemade cookies, tea bags and hot water and a pitcher of ice water for us. There is also a keurig and k-cups, ice maker and mini frig for the guests. The home has all the charm of its era plus all the modern conveniences. I will definitely stay again if ever back in the area.

A delightful B & B, very close to Camden Yards. The host, Linda, is very welcoming and has much to share about the building and its history. The B & B has a lovely patio under a huge southern magnolia where you can relax at the beginning or end of your day. Immaculately clean, each room had all you could possibly want. Breakfast was two courses and delicious.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Rachael’s Dowry Bed & Breakfast over the 2024 Memorial Day weekend. My wife grew up as a Baltimore Orioles fan, and we had tickets for the Monday afternoon game. We decided to make a weekend of it, and we just stumbled upon this place while looking for someplace near the stadium on Google Maps. From the moment we parked our car and walked in, Linda went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The area can be very confusing to navigate, but she had given us directions to the parking lot ahead of time. The facility makes you feel like you have walked into an episode of The Gilded Age. The place is filled with charm, history, and comfort. For my fellow bibliophiles, Linda has a cute little library on the first floor in the parlor area. We selected the Ella Virginia Suite for our stay. It was a challenge heading up the 3 flights with our luggage, but it was so worth it. The suite was clean and comfortable with a classic bathtub in the bathroom next to the shower. This room screams relaxation! The morning breakfast was no cheap hotel continental affair. THIS. IS. BREAKFAST!!! We were so well fed, we skipped lunch each day that weekend and felt fine until it was time for dinner. Linda was also a very gracious host with a depth of knowledge about the history of the house as well as the area. We will certainly stay here anytime we are in the Baltimore area!
Walkability: We had tickets to an Orioles game. The stadium is an easy and very safe walk from the hotel.
Food & drinks: Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about the breakfast! Even the scones are amazing!

We had a wonderful stay at Rachael’s Dowry- a beautifully appointed and well kept historic home 5-10 mins from the harbor. Linda - the inn keeper is friendly, welcoming and was accommodative to our travel schedule. Her breakfast was a treat! Highly recommend.

A place immersed in an old-fashioned atmosphere, directed with delicacy, taste and passion by Linda. You feel at home, expecting at any time to meet an old aunt who takes her tea in the living room while slowly dozing. Lovers of impersonal chain hotels, go your way.

Great experience! I typically don't choose hotels based on the vibe and experience but this place is worth it, and not even a significant price jump. Enjoy a cozy and personal stay. And great breakfast as well - personally made by the inn keeper! If you need suggestions for things to do in the area, you'll get plenty of ideas. We could only stay one short night, but will definitely book here again our next trip to Baltimore.
Rooms: Cozy and old styled, but kept with modern times.

Outstanding, Linda the owner/ innkeeper was great!!! We stayed 2 nights to attend the Orioles game, within walking distance to the stadium, Pickles Pub, Potbelly Sub shop all within walking distance too as well as historic sites, Babe Ruth Museum, Edgar Allan Poe House/ Grave, Inner Harbor. The Rachel’s Dowry Bed and Breakfast was unbelievable, the Inn is very nice, well maintained. Linda was warm and very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious, fresh fruit, best coffee ever, all breakfast items fresh and homemade. Definitely a place to stay if visiting the area for business or a game.
Will be revisiting in the future if in the Baltimore area for a visit or a game.
Rooms: Very nice, period furnishings to add to the visit, very nice bed and breakfast
Nearby activities: Pickles Pub, Potbelly sub shop, Inner Harbor, Babe Ruth Museum
Walkability: Around 4-5 minute walk to Baltimore Orioles Stadium, felt safe in the area
Food & drinks: Nice patio area in rear of home, very walkable to sites and places to eat

Came to Baltimore for a weekend for a conference and came across this bed and breakfast on Google when other hotels in the area were full. I was pleasantly surprised with the location - 5 to 10 minute walk to downtown and the baseball stadium. No issues with water temperature. Room has an antique feel with updated toilet and sink. Bed was comfy. House was very clean. Breakfast was A1 with French toast and fruit cup. Linda was very accommodating with me coming in early and leaving late by allowing me to leave my bags in the house. Overall 10/10 and would definitely come back

Stayed here last Autumn and it was wonderful. The inn keeper gave me so many recommendations, and really took her time making me feel welcome. The inn was beautiful, even in the wet and cold month that I visited. My room was lovely, I highly recommend staying here. I felt very safe and liked that there was designated parking. I was told about the unique eggs Benedict breakfast, but the scones stole the show and I still think about them even almost six months later!

Rachels Dowry is a beautiful home. The Innkeeper shared much of its history, and was generally a dream helping us however possible, which was no small task.
The room was lovely, everything clean comfortable good bedding and thanks to the gas fireplace it warmed up. Linda was also very generous with breakfasts and flexible about the menu. The location near the ball park was fine for us without a car. We found Lyft to be a reasonable means of evening transportation and the Charm City Circulator is beyond fabulous for daytime comings and goings. Baltimore really is a charming city! We left just two days before the collapse of the bridge :(
Thank you Linda for helping us get along, may we meet again!

Such a gem in Baltimore! Linda was so welcoming and the property was impeccably clean. We stayed to attend an Orioles game and you cannot beat the location. Our room was comfortable, the bed was great and the sheets were so soft! There was tea and cookies available any time and breakfast was delicious. Great history associated with the house was an added bonus. We will absolutely be back!
