Staff is nice, food and drinks are cheap. Place has been open for a long time and it shows its age. Unless you are part of a big league or tournament lane quality is lack luster.

This is the cutest bowling alley. It has the perfect old school duckpin vibe and is well maintained. The employees are the absolute sweetest and overly accommodating and the snack bar prices are well below average with a great variety. Pinland went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed this weekend and were superbly prepared for the state tournament we’re here to participate in. Will definitely be back to pleasure bowl with the kids in the future ??

Nice little atmosphere just like Edgemere lanes. If I knew Edgemere lanes was up for sale I would’ve definitely bought it. Would love to have a place like this.

Pinland has been the best duckpin bowling centers in Maryland for many reasons. 1. Its not easy to keep a bowling center looking as good as it does, while keeping the 50's and '60's vibe. I personally know Bob and his son Wayne and it makes me so proud just to even know them. Us 3, Calvin Jones and Don Dove. About 4 years ago, I heard through the grape vine that Steve Litrenta had already made the deal to sell the whole strip block and the buyer was going to knock down the whole strip including, which just made me irate. The buyer didn't even want to save the Lanes or the machines. He was going to scrap sll of it!!!So, I asked an aquatzncd , first and to stand with me and if not buy it, we could at least hold off the vultures until we met the perfect family, the Lipkas. I personally know Bob and I know he is a person that loves bowling, he also loves to bowl.ANYWAY, I just wanted to thank Bob and his son Wayne for taking on this huge task. All us duckpiners can hope is that this situation inspires other investors to do similar things.I say that because when I still bowled on the Pro Tour regularly, I remember Riviera getting sold to the highest bidder, not caring what the plans are for the building and MORE IMPORTANTLY, the Lanes and the original pinsetter machines. When Mike Davidson sold Riviera, he didn't even inquire what the space was being used for.About a week later 32 perfect Lanes were chopped like firewood and every original 1954 machine was hammered to death and ,SET ON FIRE.WE as a duckpin community have to keep our eyes out for any other bowling alley for sale, we must step in and if necessary pull or Duckpin Bowling Club together if need be, we can pull our money together with a big enough club and I put up some of money up.On a personal note, I remember riding by Riviers and I actually cried when I saw the poles. Not long ago, I had business in Catonsville and I couldn't believe my eyes, Rolling Rolling and Westview. I have NO IDEA why Westview was closed. Other than -Southwest, Westview, no other Westside made as much money. The ONLY Idea I ever had for this is AMF is/was trying to remove the game of Duckpins from the State of Maryland

Pinland is an institution for Dundalk along with all the historical frames on the wall to tell us all about yesteryear. Also, Pinland has got a piece of my heart. I've bowled a couple leagues there and the Toots Barger Memorial Doubles. One last thing that is NEAREST to my heart is that a man I consider to be way more than a friend, Bob Lipka and his son Wayne had the fortitude to get involved and the place seems stunning. I've only gotten to see it on YouTube, but I can't wait to see Bob and Wayne.Best Wishes, Alan Connelly

Mark, the owner, has so much hospitality for my group of friends that came all the way from Philadelphia and Virginia. Seriouslyyyy the best experience. Everyone greeted us with open arms and treated us like family. We were able to donate to the fundraiser and meet the kids who will benefit. Wayne showed us the ropes and it was insaneeeee. WILL COME BACK NEXT TIME WE COME TO BALTIMORE.

They didn't honor my reservation. I called to reserve two lanes for a party a few days before. When I showed up, the excuse was "we had a fund raiser that was bigger than expected" which I interpreted as "we gave away your lane".I want to be understanding, because it's a fundraiser, but I showed up with 7 people and we all drove over 30 minutes. If we had been given warning, we wouldn't have been stranded on a Saturday night. They were sort of apologetic and offered us some coupons, but really, it wasn't good enough. We were literally a party with nowhere to go. I wouldn't trust this place for an event or at least call many times to confirm your event. They don't seem to really be organized.

Old fashioned bowling alley with a down home feel. I think it is owned and operated by 4 friends that seem to try to make you have a great time. Good bowling and good bowling alley food.Great family night out on Friday's, which is budget friendly night!

Never played duckpin bowling and it was confusing but fun Hahaa Don't know how to score on paper the old school way much less the rules of duckpin which lets you bowl 3 times vs two in normal bowling The pins are smaller and I guess have a duck bottom and the balls are way smaller and lighter so it takes some adjusting to when rolling them! I found that not throwing the balls hard and not running up the lane but just throwing it from the top of lane crouched down did the trick It was a fun time Definitely an old school alley

I have frequented this establishment for over 35 years now. The friendliest staff. The best snack bar food. The bowling lanes are well taken care of. It's such a great time. Childhood memories and adult fun rolled into one.
