Happy Dog Spa + Wellness
1820 Lancaster St Suite 100, BaltimoreMy 3 year old Chihuahua, Chewbacca and I loved the experience with Happy Dog! We went to get his teeth cleaned without anesthesia, and it could not have gone better. The service was excellent the staff was so nice and welcoming and made both Chewbacca and I feel very comfortable and he left with the pearliest whites I’ve ever seen him have. They took amazing before and after photos. We will definitely come back here for any future cleanings or grooming!

Boesl Packing Co
2322 Belair Rd, BaltimoreThis may seem odd as a representative of K-9 Kraving that I am leaving a review, HOWEVER, I too, am a customer of K-9 Kraving. Currently, I have 3 furr-kids, all rescues, varying breeds, all different ages. Since joining my pack, they have all been fed K-9 Kraving diets. Abbey is the matriarch of our pack. A 14yo Jack-ChiChi mix. For the most part, Abbey has been an easy keeper over the years; trimming her nails and weight management were our greatest challenges until about 1.5 years ago. Out of nowhere, about every 4 months, Abbey's ears and paws would become infected, and transferring to her mouth from licking/scratching. Each visit & pharma treatment at the DVM was leaving me with a $180 - $200 bill. But more frustrating than the cost was not knowing the WHY it was a reoccurring challenge. Chicken, Beef & Veg (or) Chicken & Veg w/ Mackerel were the standards in our house with only K-9 Kraving dried treats for foraging snacks. One day, as I was creating technical posts for our FB page, I personally focused on the benefits of one of our most under-appreciated diets, Rabbit, Duck & Vegetable. This diet has ant-inflammatory qualities and is also low in cholesterol, excellent for senior canines.....DING, DING, DING!!! For Abbey, I made the connection that older dogs have different needs... We made the switch in January 2023. FFW to today, Abbey is the leanest she has ever been, inflammation & infection free for over 4 months (WOO-HOO) and more active than ever! She is actually playing with toys. I couldn't be happier with the difference the RDV diet has made for her. In Abbey's case, the inflammation was triggering licking and scratching, ultimately resulting in infection. With RDV diet those triggers have been neutralized. Thank you K-9 Kraving!IMAGE 1: Chubby and staining on her paws from licking (6 mos ago)IMAGE 2: In action w/ her 8 yo sister (today)IMAGE 3: Feeling goooood! (today)

Howl
3531 Chestnut Ave, BaltimoreThey also have a location in Mt. Washington where you will meet the most knowledgeable, helpful staff. I was in there today talking about my pup who had jaw surgery and is now an incredibly sloppy eater. They had so many great suggestions on how I could best make her meatballs (lol) and, more importantly, were so compassionate about our "new normal," sharing their stories about their own dogs trials and tribulations. I am a lifelong fan and patron now and highly recommend Howl. This is what small business is all about.

Loving Pet Care Hospital
6057 Falls Rd, BaltimoreDr.Bishop and his staff are by far the best animal hospital I have come across in my many, many years of having pets. From friendly to compassionate to experienced, words that do not adequately describe Dr Bishop and his staff.Dr Bishop is so caring and helpful; being there exactly when you need him, even though I was not that close to his office but he still came to my home to take excellent care of Ruby. Both times Dr. Bishop came to my home he brought along the most compassionate and experienced assistants who didn’t get frustrated even though Ruby was very frightened and was not going to comply with their requests. In addition, Dr Bishop was kind enough to have his groomer take care of Ruby who has allergies and in desperate need of a bath and a cut. I was really doubtful of the results while I was waiting knowing I had not been able to bathe her or even cut a matt from her hair. She is beautiful…. perfectly groomed! Shocked and amazed are an understatement!I would strongly recommend Dr. Bishop and his exceptional staff without reservation.Thank you Dr. Bishop and all your great employees!!!

Doc·Side Veterinary Medical Center
1705 Bank St, BaltimoreI have been going to another vet for a long time, and they were "okay", but over the last year have come to distrust their judgement and ways of practice. Especially when they told me my 19 y/o cat was going to die in a month based on just 1 lab result, no further studies, and offered no real solutions and also dropped the news on me in a very cold, inappropriate way (still talking about the former vet--- NOT Doc-side!). However, she's still kicking 9 months later. So I've been looking to switch vets. But right now my 19 y/o cat is sick with a tooth infection and a cold and DocSide got her in same day I called and they were SO ORGANIZED and thorough. I also appreciate that they don't take your pet from you to do the examination like some vets do. They do everything in the room with you and the doc spent a very long time with me discussing total wellness for my geriatric cat, and did so with humor, compassion, and well-rounded honesty. Most importantly, he gave me a second opinion, and gave me HOPE. I have been living in fear of losing her since last June b/c of the other vet, and when she got sick this past week, I feared the worst. Doc-Side relieved my worries with a kind, honest assessment/consultation and I was so happy with their service. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Pet Sitting & Training
Calm on Command K9
1 E Chase St Suite 1101, BaltimoreRJ and Rosie are the real deal! We got our puppy when she was about 5 months and, while she is incredibly sweet, she is high energy and was a bit too interested in our cat. She stayed with Rosie and RJ for two weeks and came back a calmer, extremely obedient dog with the same goofy personality. She used to freak out if she heard our cat upstairs and at this very moment she is calmly sitting in place while our cat watches her from the stairs. I used to dread walks because of her pulling and eating everything in sight, but now she walks right next to me and doesn’t even look at the ground. The pack walks are a great way to meet other owners and to get helpful refreshers. We are so grateful to RJ and Rosie and so glad we found Calm on Command!

Denise Willis Dog Training
BaltimoreI adopted a teenage puppy who had lots of leash reactivity and lots of pulling. Denise was the 2nd trainer we worked with and since working with Denise, he's made huge progress! He would lunge and bark at everything from a cart to a recycle bin to a tall branch hanging over the fence. After determining the right tool that worked for me and him, and working through some of my own anxieties with him, I feel more confident walking him and he is much easier to handle. Me and him still have work to do, (practice makes perfect!) but I feel like I can breath when I take him out of my house and I no longer worry about the big feelings and reactivity that he had towards any and everything. Thanks to Denise, my teenage puppy might just make it to his humans sports events one day!

Pawsitive Paul's Dog Training
2014 NE 107th St, SeattleI am a new resident of Seattle and I have a husky with separation anxiety. I asked Paul for an in-person visit because I wanted to have advice on how to train my dog from someone who's met him. I'd read a million articles online and felt super defeated since every article contradicted one another when it came to dogs with separation anxiety. Paul was super kind and immediately my dog loved him. Since my dog's a husky he's very stubborn but Paul was patient with him when most others haven't been. He gave us advice on not only how to lessen my dog's anxiety but gave us some tips and tricks to help with some other concerns we had with our dog. He also provided us with extra material to help with training and I couldn't be more appreciative. You can tell that Paul very clearly has a passion for these dogs and genuinely wants to help out. There's been a big difference in my dog's behavior since the visit even though it's only been a few days. I am very thankful for his help and would definitely recommend him if you're looking for a dog trainer!

He constantly updated me on her status and sent me photos/videos frequently. I was shocked to see my baby Frenchie name Kash interacting friendly with all the different sizes of dogs. He made sure Kash was friendly and knew how to interact with other dogs which will help me in the long run when we encounter other dogs outside. I’m a new dog owner and don’t want to over protect my dog to the point where she can’t interact with other dogs. Kash will be returning to Reys for additional training while I welcome my new baby boy into this world. Rey is heaven sent snd I love how well he handle pets. Corner Juice Bar
2400 Fleet St, Baltimoreomg what a local GEM!!! I found this place on Yelp as I was craving juice and they had so many other great reviews. (I had tried to go to another juice spot in the city the day prior but they were closed even during opening hours and my juice craving persisted so here I came) Corner Juice Bar is located in Canton on a corner super close to Patterson Park! Street parking was super easy for me and the decor both inside and out of this shop is soooooo cute. I ordered 2 juices and spoke with the owners for a bit while my drinks were being prepared. First off, the juice is FRESH and they blend it right there and then for you, there's no premade juices. Secondly, I was offered (and took!) some ginger tea while I waited for my juices to be made (which took less than 5 mins they're super fast) and the ginger tea was indeed, quite gingery as I like so this was an unexpected happy surprise. They also gave me my 2 drinks with a plastic drink carrier! Fresh Start Juice 5/5 - a green juice that tastes healthy and refreshing Nature's Rx Juice w/ blueberry and kiwi additions 5/5 - a green juice that tastes a little more sweet than Fresh Start but still super enjoyable and refreshing Definitely recommend coming by and checking them out!!

Moo Moo Cows - Ice Cream
926 Light St Suite 1, BaltimoreThursday 3/14/2024 Found this spot while searching for the best ice cream in Baltimore through yelp. The customer service was friendly and informative. I got a triple scoop cup of 1x brownie & 2x moo moo cows ($8.50) and a cup soft serve of Cinnamon Toast Crunch ($4.50). The brownie ice cream was pretty good but the moo moo cows (aka cookies n cream) was easily my favorite. I was excited to try the unique Cinnamon Toast Crunch soft serve after the worker hyped it up but it was not as good as I expected (still decent tho). Overall, it's a Solid ice cream spot that I'd recommend.

1421 Ridgely St, BaltimoreThis was my first time coming to the new location. I had been to the other spot they had before a while back but didn't really remember it. This one was easy to locate right off the highway in an industrial area. There was plenty of street parking as well as parking on the side in the lot they share with neighboring businesses. I would assume the other businesses are closed during evening hours since there was so much parking available. The inside was very spacious with plenty of open seating. Came in on a Thursday night that meet a couple of coworkers and it wasn't crowded. They do serve food but the menu is limited. I think all of their beers are brewed in house. Some and great and some are a little weird. They will allow you to have small samples before you order a full sized glass. I say try a few until you find one you like. They have trivia nights and other special events so check out their website.

Charm City Pet Crematory
5500 O'Donnell St, BaltimoreOur 10yr old cat, Mollie, died suddenly yesterday and as a family we decided to go with cremation but this was our first time losing a pet; we were heartbroken and unsure of how to go about this. I reached out, via text, to Charm City Crematorium after merely reading the reviews. Not to be dishonest but the pricing is a little high compared to everyone else but with that said, the young woman who was everything to us today was absolutely amazing and deserves a raise… Rosie was a counselor, friend and honorary member of my family for the time I was there. Such a beautiful soul… worth every penny. I could’ve talked to her for hours. She also gives the best hugs. I promise I could go on… our Mollie is in empathetic, caring, loving hands and for the first time in a day and a half I feel a sense of peace and THAT is priceless. I’d give more stars if I could. Thank you, Rosie. Thank you.

Canton Dog Park
3201 Toone St, BaltimoreI was on a long drive with two dogs, one of whom will not potty on leash. We found a dog park slightly south of Baltimore, but one side had overly friendly dogs and one side had a Very Unfriendly dog, so we had to move on. I had not been to the Canton Dog Park before, but found it quite easily and there was ample parking available. The "small/senior" dog side was empty, so we went in and stayed for probably 20 minutes playing and enjoying the freedom outside of the car. The humans on the other side were friendly and helpful, pointing out that we could run to the pub across the street for human facilities, too. I love to see this area being built up and turned into a well-lit, friendly neighborhood.
