Boesl Packing Co
2322 Belair Rd, BaltimoreThis may seem odd as a representative of K-9 Kraving that I am leaving a review, HOWEVER, I too, am a customer of K-9 Kraving. Currently, I have 3 furr-kids, all rescues, varying breeds, all different ages. Since joining my pack, they have all been fed K-9 Kraving diets. Abbey is the matriarch of our pack. A 14yo Jack-ChiChi mix. For the most part, Abbey has been an easy keeper over the years; trimming her nails and weight management were our greatest challenges until about 1.5 years ago. Out of nowhere, about every 4 months, Abbey's ears and paws would become infected, and transferring to her mouth from licking/scratching. Each visit & pharma treatment at the DVM was leaving me with a $180 - $200 bill. But more frustrating than the cost was not knowing the WHY it was a reoccurring challenge. Chicken, Beef & Veg (or) Chicken & Veg w/ Mackerel were the standards in our house with only K-9 Kraving dried treats for foraging snacks. One day, as I was creating technical posts for our FB page, I personally focused on the benefits of one of our most under-appreciated diets, Rabbit, Duck & Vegetable. This diet has ant-inflammatory qualities and is also low in cholesterol, excellent for senior canines.....DING, DING, DING!!! For Abbey, I made the connection that older dogs have different needs... We made the switch in January 2023. FFW to today, Abbey is the leanest she has ever been, inflammation & infection free for over 4 months (WOO-HOO) and more active than ever! She is actually playing with toys. I couldn't be happier with the difference the RDV diet has made for her. In Abbey's case, the inflammation was triggering licking and scratching, ultimately resulting in infection. With RDV diet those triggers have been neutralized. Thank you K-9 Kraving!IMAGE 1: Chubby and staining on her paws from licking (6 mos ago)IMAGE 2: In action w/ her 8 yo sister (today)IMAGE 3: Feeling goooood! (today)

I have been seeing Michelle for about 20 years, first with my dog Ginger, had to switch from another groomer down in Essex on Eastern Blvd, her husband, shook my dog in front of me. We lost Maggie, 2 years ago. She listen to how we like them cut, even puts then in the same crate, while waiting to be completed, We will continue using Pawz & Clawz!!!

Heart + Paw
2030 Aliceanna St, BaltimoreThe staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Plus, there was essentially no wait time once in office, I was seen as soon as I walked in the door. However, their schedule wasn't very accommodating for a sick visit (cough) and a routine vaccination appointment that I had scheduled was canceled with minimal notice via a very long confusing text. They gave me one time slot as an alternative, which didn't work. Overall, I'd come back but client communication and scheduling could be improved.

Doc·Side Veterinary Medical Center
1705 Bank St, BaltimoreIt’s always nerve wracking choosing the right vet, so I feel very lucky that I found Doc Side when I moved to the city. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them and am continually grateful for the care and support they show my precious pets. I’ve been to Doc Side for all sorts of things now— check ups, illnesses, an emergency visit, even anal gland expression on a cat (yikes!). They have always handled our appointments with grace, patience, creativity, and compassion.
I will admit they are a tad pricier than some other options, but not by much, and you get what you pay for. There have been a few times where I’ve called for guidance which they provided on the phone without urging me to come in for appointment. They have also matched a competitor’s medication price for me.
We’ve seen Dr. Tierney, Dr. Coughlin, and Dr. Peterson and have always been impressed by their quality of care. Additionally, the vet techs and support staff have consistently been phenomenal. I get anxiety over my cat’s health, and the staff do just as much for me as they do for them! You are in excellent hands with DocSide.

Calm on Command K9
1 E Chase St Suite 1101, BaltimoreRJ and Rosie are the real deal! We got our puppy when she was about 5 months and, while she is incredibly sweet, she is high energy and was a bit too interested in our cat. She stayed with Rosie and RJ for two weeks and came back a calmer, extremely obedient dog with the same goofy personality. She used to freak out if she heard our cat upstairs and at this very moment she is calmly sitting in place while our cat watches her from the stairs. I used to dread walks because of her pulling and eating everything in sight, but now she walks right next to me and doesn’t even look at the ground. The pack walks are a great way to meet other owners and to get helpful refreshers. We are so grateful to RJ and Rosie and so glad we found Calm on Command!

Denise Willis Dog Training
BaltimoreI adopted a teenage puppy who had lots of leash reactivity and lots of pulling. Denise was the 2nd trainer we worked with and since working with Denise, he's made huge progress! He would lunge and bark at everything from a cart to a recycle bin to a tall branch hanging over the fence. After determining the right tool that worked for me and him, and working through some of my own anxieties with him, I feel more confident walking him and he is much easier to handle. Me and him still have work to do, (practice makes perfect!) but I feel like I can breath when I take him out of my house and I no longer worry about the big feelings and reactivity that he had towards any and everything. Thanks to Denise, my teenage puppy might just make it to his humans sports events one day!

Pawsitive Paul's Dog Training
2014 NE 107th St, SeattleI am a new resident of Seattle and I have a husky with separation anxiety. I asked Paul for an in-person visit because I wanted to have advice on how to train my dog from someone who's met him. I'd read a million articles online and felt super defeated since every article contradicted one another when it came to dogs with separation anxiety. Paul was super kind and immediately my dog loved him. Since my dog's a husky he's very stubborn but Paul was patient with him when most others haven't been. He gave us advice on not only how to lessen my dog's anxiety but gave us some tips and tricks to help with some other concerns we had with our dog. He also provided us with extra material to help with training and I couldn't be more appreciative. You can tell that Paul very clearly has a passion for these dogs and genuinely wants to help out. There's been a big difference in my dog's behavior since the visit even though it's only been a few days. I am very thankful for his help and would definitely recommend him if you're looking for a dog trainer!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Everest Spice Bar And Grill
1640 Aliceanna St, BaltimoreSolid Nepalese restaurant located inside Broadway Market. This was a favorite of my friend so we got take out a lot. I went recently later on a Friday and was happy to see lots of people there. Everest took over the former Phil Han Tiger location as well as the bar. The bar is never busy, and when I went, no one was working the bar, I think this is more of a day time establishment. Their mango lassi is a solid choice, along with their Chicken Korma, and momos. I got the Chicken Vindaloo and it was a bit too tomato-y for me, but I did enjoy the garlic naan a lot, it was super fresh out of the over, and really garlicky, which I liked. The owners are super kind and accommodating, they gave me a side of their hot sauce, which I liked. The menu does include the heavy hitting Indian dishes, but this is a Nepalese restaurant. As it's inside the market, it does lean more take away vs a vibe, so don't expect this to be a sit down dinner.

3201 Toone St, BaltimoreI was on a long drive with two dogs, one of whom will not potty on leash. We found a dog park slightly south of Baltimore, but one side had overly friendly dogs and one side had a Very Unfriendly dog, so we had to move on. I had not been to the Canton Dog Park before, but found it quite easily and there was ample parking available. The "small/senior" dog side was empty, so we went in and stayed for probably 20 minutes playing and enjoying the freedom outside of the car. The humans on the other side were friendly and helpful, pointing out that we could run to the pub across the street for human facilities, too. I love to see this area being built up and turned into a well-lit, friendly neighborhood.
