I usually go to Essex to pawn my very nice jewelry but I tried here because I was in the city. First of all the pawn shop is on a dirty street it's dirty, dusty and unorganized inside which is very off putting. Then the relic named John working there is rude and I'm sure is racist and doesn't know what he's talking about. I got straight in my car drove out to Essex and easily got the money my items were worth. They don't even have jewelry in the freaking shop start. I like nicely decorated and polite pawn shops that show beautiful jewelry in their cases. Please if you're like me and desire good service and a clean shop and non racist folks please stay away from here. Doesn't matter if they were there for 50 years or whatever trust me when I say for more refined folks this place is straight up trash

Great service. There’s a few good point one they don’t let you over sell your item so you will be able to retrieve it. Second is the 3 month pawn payment is great.

Wow- This would truly be our go-to pawn shop if we didn’t live out of state! We are frequent travelers and we were so delighted by the entire team at Northwestern Loan & Pawn. Rick and his wife were an absolute joy to get to know and do business with. We will be back again! 10/10!

Northwestern Loan & Pawnbroker is the only pawnshop I go too...very accurate with their prices...definitely respectful with their services on waiting on us as customers...I rate them too thee highest!!!

If you're looking for firearms don't here just don't you're not allowed to see anything until you provided some sort of currency so therefore you don't get to see what you're buying. hands you a piece of paper and goes here you go

I play music as a hobby, and wanted to pick up a keyboard to noodle around with at home. I was not looking to pay the price for a brand new one and didn’t want to go Craigslist route, so I searched for pawnshops. I came across Northwestern Loan -- Reasonable selection, fair prices, and the staff easy to deal with. Also had a nice guitar selection. I paid a fair price for a keyboard that plays well.

We had the most pleasant experience for our first time in a Pawn Shop. Rick the owner was so patient with us as we were deciding on 2 items. He was honest and gave us a good few laughs while we were there. I would go back there in a heartbeat!
