This place is one of the most fun bars I've been to. They have a ton of different games and are always willing to help you find one that fits your vibe/group sizeThe drinks are really creative, the bartenders are great. I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes to get an order in.

Great gaming atmosphere. Good food. Service is good. Highly recommend the pesto pizza. Game store plus games to rent and play while you enjoy food.

A nice hangout spot! Terrific selection of boardgames, delicious pizzas, and nice drink options (including non alcoholic options). Have found the seating both upstairs & downstairs to get uncomfortable for full game play, and can get quite noisy on full nights; but overall really lovely place & welcome addition to the social calendar.

Awesome venue. The cocktails and mocktails are dynamite. Lots of space for gaming with a super friendly and welcoming crowd. The food options are very limited, but the pizza is solid.

NLB is a local gem and you should give them your business. 90% of the time I'm there to play Magic the Gathering but they also have board games and other TCGs. Friendly bartenders and staff

This is a very disappointing experience for us. Hubby and I love board games. So we thought this would be a homerun. We went on a special night because they had drag bingo. Which we loved! It was after the fact that left a bad taste. Every indication they stayed open to at least midnight. 1030 last call with a full bar mind you. So we hurry to finish our drinks and our game bc they awkwardly are waiting for us to leave. Won't be back again.

Come for the games, stay for the drinks... and the games. The pizza had no business being that good at a board game place. Went for the first time yesterday and it's easily my favorite place to do happy hour. Expect to spend about $20 for a game pass and 1 drink.

Easy to show up, try some new games, and hangout. Drinks were good (if not a bit pricy)

One of the best hangouts in the city. Excellent boardgame library selection, excellent service, excellent drinks and pizza. The outdoor area is really nice also, as long as you don't mind the occasional smell of cigarette smoke.

It's been a couple years since I have followed up on reviewing NLB post-COVID-19 pandemic. The ambience is great. The game library is neat and organized. The store retail section is what I imagine for a professional boutique game shop. The employees have always been friendly and helpful, as well as the owner(s) when I once met them years ago. The bar serves some tasty pizza, and offers a decent array of beverages from alcoholic to nonalcoholic. While there are some good mock tails, there are some citrus flavored mock tails that were not so great. For instance, the bitterness in the Phony Negroni was overpowering all the other flavors in the drink. I also found it odd that the bartenders were not quick to clean table surfaces or offer to clean clear surfaces for occupied tables. Perhaps NLB employees have a different perspective on these factors, but the downsides are why I am downgrading the business to four stars. There are different areas to play board games and TCGs across the store. An adding touch to the store's ambience is that they display local artwork for sell. One observation I found admirable about the store is their encouragement of LGBTQIA+ inclusion. NLB has built strong brand equity, and they have a competitive advantage by offering table top gaming needs while also having a bar that prepares drinks and food. NLB's website offers a lot of information about their retail and services for customers.I strongly recommend this store for those passionate about games, fellowship, and socializing. The store is great for college students, friends, parties, and business gatherings. NLB is personally my favorite place to spend time, which says a lot on how much I value the business.

It's a nice concept! There are a couple events I like to go to. It's kinda densely laid out. I feel like I'm always *squeezing by* somebody.

You know at some point its my fault, right? I come here more often that I should but their is never anymore than two bartenders for the hundreds of people there, the food is only microwaved frozen pizza and there is no where to sit most nights. So its a successful place, I just wish they would grow and hire more people

Had fun spending my birthday playing games. The staff is great. The pizza is awesome, though they sometimes have limited options.Kid-friendliness: They allow kids till 9pm and have plenty of games the whole family can play

Best bar I've ever been to! A fun, friendly, welcoming space for everyone.
