Terrible service and staff not knowledgeableI went in recently to get a background check notarized. The gentlemen who helped me was nice, however, her seemed short with me. I noticed this with the bank tellers as well. Overall moral of the bank seemed low. After speaking to the gentlemen and telling him exactly what I needed, he began to look through my background check and told me that he couldn’t notarize it because my paper indicated that the business that I was getting it notarized for was in d.c. (however, the business I was getting my background check for was not in D.C. and was actually right across the street). I cleared this up for him and he still denied me. When I looked through mt papers, I realized that what he was reading as DC was actually just the clauses of the background check, providing me with the information on who to call if I felt like the check was pulled illegally. It was essentially displaying my rights and where to report to if they were infringed. That address was in DC. I told him this again, and he still denied me. After leaving I had to called a notary to travel to me and sign my papers, where I told her what happened. She ensured me that the teller was wrong and uninformed. I’m verbal a very frustrating experience. I don’t know if the gentlemen was simply tired or if he was dismissive of me , but either way, as a institution that also provides notary public services, it is imperative to know your info. I will be contacting corporate as well.

Am really upset from this location I been treated like a criminal just for withdrawing my money from my account, this unprofessional teller name was james benson i will never come to this location they should train there employees from this location better.

The worst service. Teller Stacey Jones was taking people out of turn. I had to wait in line 20 minures as she took people who came in after me. Horrible service and nasty attitude.

Literally rediculous. I work two blocks from the bank, brought check in to be cashed, and my boss forgot to date it(no big deal). Even though i have proper identification and was willing to have my boss call and verify his account info, i was told that the check didn't look legitimate, and would have to have my boss come in and date it. Let me say this, anyone could've dated it, and you wouldn't have known the difference, i just as easily could've walked out and around the corner and dated it myself, and went back in. But ill be damned if doing the right thing and offering to have my boss verify the account info and his indentity helped. Nope, it made things more difficult. And this is why your company is losing so many customers to PNC and Bank of America.

Local chain bank with great ATM availability. The teller services can be slow but it may be more due to the customers not understanding the banking system well enough. This location is safe and accessible in a diverse community. The surrounding area is also experiencing a bit of a revitalization.

This is literally the worst customer service experience of my life . I would like to start by saying I interned at M&T bank in their Coorperate office so I know what customer service should be like and this is not it ! I needed to get something notarized . The notary STACEY starts by being so rude and and says if I didn't hurry up she would be leaving and wouldn't do it. Fine I hurried when I she was about to notarize it she said she couldn't do it because my HUSBAND needed to sign as well and he was not a customer even though we are married and he is under my account . Ridiculous ! I asked for a manager and she rolled her eyes and said she was the manager and that she had more important problems . I wanted to close my account instantly and she told the lady in the office not to help me and help the person behind me first. This is so ridiculous . Please don't go to M&T bank. I've had an account with them since I was 16 and honestly this past experience made me want to close my accounts. I'm going to have to go to another branch though because apparently this one won't do it .

This the most worse m&t branch, the manager was rude to us when we told him that we had waited long time, there are 5 offices in the bank, but 4 are empty.
