Everyone who works here is so kind and welcoming. I came in to set up an estate account and worked directly with the manager. She was so patient with all my questions and went above and beyond to make sure everything was sorted out!

Terrible service. I am inside the bank waiting for long time. No one even cares to help. Very slow and selfish employee.

This could easily have been a one star review but as I've mentioned in other reviews ... it's all about people. In this case it's one person. His name is Michael Fetzer. After banking with Citi for nearly 15 years I decided to make a change to M&T. The reason for my decision was simple. There are no Citi branches left in Maryland. There haven't been any for quite a while in fact. For the past several years I've done everything over the phone or via their App/Website. In today's world you can get by with that but for me I wanted a bank that I could actually walk into and do business with people if need be. I guess call me old fashioned. On May 9th I opened my new account with M&T. Coincidentally I started a new job just the day before leaving my old company after 10 years. After opening my account I was given starter checks so that I could submit one of them to my new company to set up direct deposit. Since there would be a delay to process this I was planning on getting paper checks for at least the first couple of weeks. When I received my first check I deposited it at an ATM. Everyday I checked and it had yet to post. On the 9th day I went into the branch and questioned why the check clearing was taking so long. The truth is ... a liquor store could have cashed it the same day but now I have a major financial institution holding my money for a check issued by a major corporation. It didn't make sense to me. I was immediately greeted by Mr Fetzer when I entered the bank. He was extremely welcoming. I asked him about the check and he asked me to go to his desk with him so that he can research what was going on. For the sake of your time I'll wrap it up with this. He took the time to explain to me why it had not cleared and also showed me a way to easily transfer money from my Citi Account to my new account without using an ATM. He also took care of any insufficient funds charges that occurred due to my check not posting. His service was beyond exceptional and he should be commended. I was going to close my account and take my business to Wells Fargo but because of him I stayed put and will continue to do so.

This is your average bank. The ATM sometimes works but often doesn't. Employees inside are quite nice. They are also open for a limited amount of time on saturdays. This place is very busy right in the morning so be prepared to wait. There is designated parking for customers close by which is a plus.

Worst experience I have ever had at M&T. The customer service was TERRIBLE. My teller, Miss Mason, was extremely rude with her tone and was on her phone throughout my transaction. I had to repeat my questions multiple times because she would not put her phone down. On top of that she was dressed extremely inappropriately and her nose ring was very distracting. I will not be coming back to this branch.

It's very concerning that in this day & age a woman doesn't understand the meaning of the word no. When you go here you will be harassed about opening an account with M&T, no matter how much you don't want one. After saying no several times your teller will go from friendly to rude. Your cash will be roughly shoved under the window and your change will practically be thrown at you. Avoid going to this branch ever if you can and stay away from the wide variety of high fees M&T bank offers for it's "services".
