Went today to get my roommates some candy. Got home, tried a chocolate; it tasted awful, and I then realized all the candies were expired. Some expired over a year ago! Disgusting, definitely won’t be back.

By far, the best cold cuts and overall deli sandwiches from any place in the city. I have tried cold cuts from 10+ places in the past few years, and none have the kind of quality meat, bread, cheese or even peppers that Luigi has. Luigi is a great guy with great customer service. He always ensures his customers know exactly where to find him. Pick up time is quick and he never disappoints.

So it's been a hot minute since i did a write up for #WheresAaronEating and in particular an ICC write up. For no other reason that I really just haven't stumbled across anything really good recently. Well that changed this morning. I came across a post that talked about a great ICC located downtown.. So I made the trek to the corner of Washington Blvd & Scott St, right in the heart of Pigtown to Luigi's @ The Main Street Market. Luigi runs a small deli in the rear of the market. Don't let the mall deli fool you, this place is packing HUGE flavor!!! The menu features 9 subs 3 of which fit the category of an ICC and the one that I'm talking about is "The OG" ($15). Imported Ham, Hot Capicola, Genoa, Pepperoni, XTRA Sharp Prov, and finished off with Peppered Ham. Those cuts get stuffed into a Lisio roll delivered daily straight from Philly! Everything is sliced super thin including the LT&O's. Add on the long hot peppers and this sub is putting other ICC's in Bmore on notice that it means straight business. Luigi is from Philly and opened shop in October right around the time of the Annual Pigtown Festival and he hasn;t stopped serving up a simply made but perfectly executed sub menu since. Put this spot on your to do list folks. The subs are served as wholes, no halves, so bring a friend!!!!

What a hidden gem. Amazingly think slices of sumptuous roast beef and turkey with change my life provolone- yes please! The man behind the counter is kind, fast, knows his meats, and has a kind and personal rapport with his customers. I found my hoagie spot.

My son went in here and I followed... Upon entering lets say the place is freshly painted bright white everything looks great. In the back is a sub shop that delivers great subs. I try the OG it was great. Full of everything bread was good. Sub is worth the $15.00, as I ate half & Upon returning to the other half I place it in the oven it became super perfect. A blend of best New Jersey subs. You would not be disappointed.

This is a convenience store but they offer more items than one would expect. You can do some basic grocery shopping here if you're staying in the area. The ice cream stand was a nice touch as well. Very nice and polite attendant.

just wanted to set the record straight about one of the reviews that mentioned this store has no fresh food... well, yes, it is a convenience store much like 7/11, and i don’t understand why someone would give a store a 1-star review simply for serving its purpose, especially when it’s a purpose that is useful to those of us who aren’t too good for bottled beverages and prepackaged snacks. HOWEVER, i was there today, and unlike your average convenience store, they actually sold a good amount of fresh produce - peppers, lemons, limes, potatoes, onions, apples, bananas, etc. they also had a really good selection of everything else that you’d expect in a convenience store! so i definitely recommend this neighborhood store! :)
