Shianne is the best trainer I have been with. I am currently down 70 pounds and going strong. She also has my mom down to her lowest weight in years. We have great workouts and an even better time doing our keto diet to lose weight.

I started working out with Shianne of Lombard Fitness in October 2016. From day one my experience has been nothing less than 5 stars. Shianne listened to my views on my current workout plan and my feelings about my body and, without hesitation, knew immediately how to build from there. Lombard Fitness has unbelievably exceeded my expectations. Shianne's encouragement has allowed me to do things in the gym I didn't know were possible - whether it's more reps or longer planks - I have amazed myself. Her support is unmatched: whatever your goals are, she will provide workouts or food advice or ways to improve and will guide you 100%. I'm entering my 8th week and am down 8lbs and ecstatic with my progress. With Shianne, there are no silly questions and she is very open when it comes to talking about her perspectives and experiences with fitness and with life. She always checks in to see how things are going which I very much appreciate since life changes don't just happen in a few hours at the gym. Working with Shianne has truly changed my views on myself and my definition of fitness for the better and I will forever be indebted to her. You will not regret working out with Lombard Fitness. Trust her and let her help you achieve whatever you are looking to achieve.

I just finished a series of boot camp classes in Patterson park with Shianne, and really loved it. Her classes had a lot of variety, with some repeated elements which allowed us to keep track of our progress. She managed to keep the class interesting for people with different skill and fitness levels. Her instructions are very clear, and she takes the time to address individual questions. I would say this class is ideal for anyone who wants to get back into the groove of working out and improve their training efficiency and technique. I will certainly continue taking her classes and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fun and effective fitness class.

Shianne is terrific. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to her craft, she knows how to individualize your workout from session to session. She does not in any way make one feel inept or uncomfortable but is encouraging and supportive. She keeps the pace within one's capability but knows how to urge one to do their best. She never acts bored or aloof but is completely present and gets the most out of her clients. And to match all that, she's just a lot of fun! Mike Hack

Hands down my sessions with Shianne have been effective, to the point and a highly efficient use of my time at the gym. I told her what my goals were, how much time I have, where my weaknesses lie and she created a routine with alternatives to have the most satisfying workouts since high school crew practice on Lake Merced at 6am. If you need to get in shape, lose a few pounds, especially those stubborn last 5, Shianne is the fun, personable trainer for you.

Shianne has suggested that we get off the treadmill and achieve something Great! well...I decided to 'break up' with Crunch after a year..couldn't stand the blaring noise and their cavalier treatment towards those folks of my vintage. Shianne got me outdoors in the park & on the Land's End Trail...breathing out in the fresh air in gorgeous scenery...and working with her is a delight...we walk up and down steps raising my heart rate, building up my stamina...doing exercises with stretch bands to firm and tighten muscles...what a brilliant way to exercise with a trainer. Shianne has listened to me and has been getting me on the right fitness track for me! ...she will know just the right thing for you and you will have a blast getting fit!

If you have even been considering working with a personal trainer, you HAVE to give Shianne a try. She is simply wonderful. Shianne meets her clients where they are at and customizes a program for THEM. She did this for both me and my wife -- the two of us have very different experience levels when it comes to gyms and working out. She'll get you OUT of the gym if that works better for you. She strikes a great balance between challenge & encouragement and above all keeps it SIMPLE yet powerful. At the beginning, Shianne met with me and designed a fantastic "base" routine that was quick and easy to learn. She did top notch nutrition counseling and like the work in the gym kept it SIMPLE. Her followup sessions have been great too as she checks my progress and gives me new things to work on and master to raise my fitness level. I have been working with Shianne since late 2009 and I have absolutely transformed my body and my well being. I am very grateful to her and her excellent work.

I cannot say enough good things about Shianne. She is not only a motivating trainer, but an all around amazing person. I found Shianne through the groupon and really wanted to try something new to jump start my weight loss. Within seconds of meeting her and hearing about her approach to fitness and nutrition, I knew I had found a gem. Shianne is always very professional, upbeat and pushes you to do your best during each and every session. I leave exhausted (in a good way) after each meeting with her. It has been a year since I started training with Shianne and I have to say, I am the healthiest that I have ever been in my life. The workouts are always new, challenging and never boring. If you need proof that your body is changing, Shianne is the person for you. If you take advantage of her '12 Week Boot Camp' she will measure you from head to toe (in a couple different ways) on day 1 of your 12 weeks and again on your last day. This really helps you see that your efforts should not be focused on the scale- something I think all people (me included) have a hard time getting over. It is always really exciting to see how your body has changed. One of the things that I think separates Shianne from other trainers is how much she cares about each client. And not just our workouts, but our diets and stress in our personal lives. With my wedding rapidly approaching, I have been on 'Operation Get Fit' with Shianne. She has helped me with my diet and workouts outside of our time together. She also has a serious arsenal of other tools that can help keep you motivated. I am happy to say that Shianne has changed the way I have viewed weight training and working out over all. I would highly recommend her if you are looking to change your life. Shianne is amazing and will become not only your trainer but a friend too.

Shianne is by far the best trainer that I have ever worked with. I initially just planned on staying for my 2 groupon sessions but it's been almost a year and over several dozen sessions and I keep coming back. Sessions with Shianne really make the most of your time and I always leave feeling like my butt got kicked (in a great way). She definitely pushes me beyond what I could do myself and really takes the time to make sure I'm doing the proper technique. After meeting her I learned that I have been doing lunges and rows wrong my entire workout life! I really wanted a trainer who would keep me accountable for not only my fitness but my diet and over all health. Shianne has done that and way more! After meeting here I've lost 15 pounds and have easily kept it off. She's also even gotten me to successfully stop eating sugar for an entire month! I've also found that under her influence I go to the gym my own. Also, she has an awesome personality. She's always upbeat and laughing and brings that into her sessions. She does creative and fun workouts in parks and has even organized one awesome fitness scavenger hunt for her clients. She's really good at building a community and creates some great workout groups that I've used for support to keep me on track. And finally, she's super flexible. I have a crazy work schedule and travel a lot and she has been more than willing to accommodate me on my time.

What an amazing impact Shianne has had on my commitment to exercise and fitness -- and the transformation we've been able to achieve together in 6 mos has been amazing. While she is very serious about her exercise approach and pushes you to accomplish the most from your workouts, she is supportive, motivating and focused on precision movements - NO INJURIES! Shianne integrates strength, cardio and stretching into our sessions, while mixing up the routines each week so there's never repetition. Not only is Shianne an extraordinary trainer, but she is a remarkable and caring person who genuinely cares about her clients' success. I know fitness has to be a part of my lifestyle, and Shianne has been the person who has changed the way I view and approach working out. My training with Shianne has been a life-changer!

Shianne is fantastic! A group of people at work decided to do a 12 week fitness challenge - all of us put in some money and the person who lost the highest percentage of body fat won. My expectation going into the challenge was that a trainer would come in a few times, take our measurements and that would be it. Well that wasn't the case with Shianne. She came in, did an introductory session and talked about all of the essentials we needed to meet our goals, focusing on tips and best practices for our diet, and she lets us know what some of the essential exercises we could do to be successful. It didn't end there - Shianne then scheduled time with each person to discuss how we were doing, we walked her through our diets, and talked about what exercising we were doing. She gave everyone individualized attention so we would need to be successful throughout the competition. She also came back into the office several times to meet as a group and individually. She also hosted a weekly boot camp for those of us that were interested. In the boot camp we had a wide range of skills and ability (me probably being the most out of shape). I was amazed at how she was able to adapt the boot camp to the individual ability levels. I never felt like I was the odd out of shape person in the group. After working with Shianne, I am not only in better shape but also more confident to go into a gym and join any class or try any new activity. I would recommend her without hesitation.

i've been working with shianne for a month and a half now and it is definitely safe to say that she has helped me bring my health and fitness to a new level. she's incredible!! here's why i would recommend shianne: 1. the obvious: she's got a substantial knowledge about fitness and wellness (she's been in the industry for over 10 years) and does a fantastic job explaining what it is you're doing and why. 2. when you're working out with shianne you can tell that she wants to be there, which is evidenced by her full-on presence with you and awareness of the moment. 3. she just has this way about her that motivates and helps inspire! the sessions are really challenging but she makes it fun. when you walk out the door you not only feel like you've just had a kick ass workout, but you're smiling because she's made it such a positive experience. 4. shianne's approach isn't just via the fitness/exercise avenue. she incorporates and encourages total well being and it makes all the difference. for example, when we first started working together, shianne recommended reading about and committing to the Quantum Wellness Cleanse by kathy freston. i went on line to read about it, bought the book, and began doing the 21 day cleanse because it sounded like a healthy and nutritious way to get my body back to its set point. during the cleanse you commit to giving up the Big 5: sugar, alcohol, gluten, all animal products, and caffeine. i was already a lacto-ovo vegetarian but it seemed like a tall order to give up my coffee and wine, and my yogurt, eggs and cheese, but shianne talked me through it when i needed support or had questions, giving me helpful hints and recipes along the way. she also took time out to take a trip to whole foods with me to show me the best food options (whole foods, tons of beautiful fruits and veggies and whole grains, and other delicious and healthy options), how and where to find the best protein sources, and how to be aware of the hidden sugar in products. and you know what? not only was i able to do the entire cleanse successfully, but my cravings for sugar and caffeine are completely gone! and because i felt so energized and ALIVE while doing it i decided to live that lifestyle all the time! and as an added bonus side effect, i dropped about 8 pounds in the process. and i didn't even try :) shiannes approach works. she takes the time to help you achieve your goals. so, yeah, i'd say she's pretty awesome.:) 5 stars, for sure.

Shianne does these free sessions at noon on the third Tuesday of every month. I just did my 2nd session today. Her personality and ability to drive people made the experience great. The 1st session had only 3 people, this one had around 8 or so (all 3 people from the last session came again, if that says anything). The fitness level of the participants was varied from people who were obviously experienced with high-intensity workouts to those who were not in too great shape - I was somewhere in the middle. The workouts focused on quick movements (plyometrics) with heavy repetition and endurance - which is great for me as endurance is a soft-spot. She was able to help each person based on their ability level - took the freaks and upped their workouts and lowered the intensity where needed for others. Not easy to navigate and give individual attention to a whole group of people. So it's obvious these sessions are held to be meet-and-greets for Shianne to pick up new clients. But she doesn't really push any sort of strong Sales agenda. At the end of kicking our asses, she just wrapped up with something like "Hey guys, great workout! BTW, I teach individual sessions and group sessions as well. See you guys next month." No awkward hard-sell at the end where I have to think of an excuse on the spot of why I can't sign up right there and then.
