We are absolutely thrilled with our experience with Ellen from Local Color Flowers! We chose the DIY experience where we got to come in the day before our wedding to create our own bud vases, and it was such a memorable and fun part of our wedding planning.
Ellen was fantastic throughout the entire process. She guided us with a warm and expert hand, making sure we felt confident and inspired while designing our arrangements. The joy and creativity we felt during this experience were reflected in the gorgeous flowers she helped us create.
My family also raved about the DIY session and how much they enjoyed being part of the process. The flowers on our wedding day were absolutely stunning and matched our vision perfectly. I celebrated a special birthday with friends and family at Local Color Flowers, and it was just perfect! We brought the cake and champagne, and the owner, Ellen Frost, provided flowers, vases, and everything we needed for each person to make an individual arrangement—including a short tutorial. She was very flexible and easy to work with. So many people told me it was the best birthday party they’d been to in years, and I keep getting pictures from friends showing me their flowers as they continue to open! (And this was in late February, even when you don’t think of flowers—which might be one reason everyone felt so good!) Can’t recommend Local Color Flowers highly enough!

When we were planning our wedding Local Color Flowers was one of our venues recommended vendors and I am so glad they were because I don't think we would have found them otherwise! We loved the hyper local aspect and that really sold us, along with Ellen being the absolute best. I gave her a color palate and a vision board and she totally ran with it. She was so understanding when our original venue cancelled on us, so we had to end our contract, only to sign back on once we secured a new venue that they also work with. Everyone complimented our flowers and they made our photos even more amazing. And they still look just as good preserved! Ellen and the whole team at Local Color Flowers are such a joy to work with and we could not recommend them more!

What a beautiful part of the Baltimore community. We had our small wedding this year and hired Local Color Flowers to do flowers. We just knew we wanted bright, cheerful colors and for the arrangements to have movement rather than feeling overly formal. With that very limited direction, Ellen and the LoCoFlo team provided the most perfectly beautiful, interesting, and fun arrangements for the wedding and we loved them so much that we kept them all over the house until they were falling apart and THEN we took the remaining stems back to her which she dried and reused for their dried products. So cool. She even provided a quick and gorgeous bouquet and hair piece when we decided to do a last minute committment ceremony on a hike with our dog a few weeks before the wedding date. They are awesome and I've continued to purchase wreaths and bouquets and sweatshirts from them and have always been delighted. Thank you Ellen!!

Local Color Flowers did my wedding flowers and they were absolutely perfect. They were super affordable. We got bouquets, boutonnières, a flower crown, loose flowers for hair, loose flowers for cake, a corsage, and flowers for our alter. Carling and Ellen were both super kind and responsive. We met and did a consultation where I described colors and textures, and asked for the inclusion of eucalyptus if possible. Keep in mind the flowers are locally sourced and you may not be able to get specific flowers, which was not a priority for me. I loved the inclusion of wheat, dried flowers, and herbs in my flowers. Ellen and her team did the flowers for my wedding and they were quite literally perfect. Local Color executed my vision exactly as I was imagining and created the most beautiful bouquets and displays. I received so many compliments on the flowers and many of my guests took home flowers at the end of the night because they were truly breathtaking. Day of, Local Color also delivered personal flowers to the hotel I was staying in, and delivered all necessary flowers to the venue. The price overall is incredibly reasonable, especially for wedding flowers, so I really recommend Ellen and her team! Lastly, everything at Local Color is locally sourced, which is great for small businesses and the environment, but that does mean you might not get the exact flowers that you want if they aren't in season. However, I got married late May, and we had the most stunning peonies, which was perfect. I highly recommend rolling with the punches because whatever time of year, you're guaranteed to get something beautiful!

When I first chatted with Ellen, I had only a vague color scheme in mind (citrusy florals and succulents) and mentioned how much I liked the bouquets and centerpieces she created for the weddings of two of my friends a few years ago. Beyond that, I left the details up to Ellen and her team and knew I’d be happy without whatever they came up with.But wow, Local Color Flowers truly knocked it out of the park. My jaw dropped when she walked into my hotel room the morning of my wedding with absolutely stunning bouquets, wrist corsages and boutonnières for the wedding party. The variety of flowers she packed into each bouquet and arrangement was astounding, and the colors were even better than I imagined. She took the time to point out some of the flowers in each arrangement and even included a special (and enormous!) pastelegance peony in the center of my bridal bouquet. And if the bouquets weren’t amazing enough, she also blew us away with a fabulous ceremony arch display, cocktail table bud vases and a mix of floral and centerpieces and succulent and herb planters at the dinner tables.Ellen and LoCoFlo, thank you for creating such beautiful floral arrangements for our wedding and for helping make our day so special!Photo credits to Jessica McDonold/Wild June Photography

Highly recommend! We used LoCoFlo for our wedding which we had in our living room during the pandemic. Ellen was so helpful and communicative - she helped us figure out how to decorate our space and taught us how to hang and arrange the flowers via FaceTime. The flowers themselves were gorgeous and loved knowing they were sourced from local farms.

We loved working with Local Color Flowers for our wedding florals. The entire process was smooth and easy for us. Ellen spent time getting to know us, gathering information on color pallets and the overall design of our wedding to help in the planning. We were drawn to the idea of supporting local flower farms as well as leaving the specific flower designing up to the experts so that part of our special day was a surprise to us!
