“I found Mt. Vernon Spirits by mistake as I thought it looked like a bookstore before I was close enough to read the facade. My partner and I checked it out and it's since been a favorite location to grab a nice bottle of wine and usually a quick drink. While not a bookstore, it still has that same cozy vibe. There are tables and seating set up within the store and a set of dog chess in case you're in the mood for a game. Everyone I've met at this establishment is friendly and helpful. The bartender's rendering of the drink menu is excellent and they've gotten creative with off menu drinks as well. I was surprised to find them open on Thanksgiving and stopped in for a glass of wine with my guests and a couple of bottles for dinner. In addition to a lovely selection of wine they also have a small collection of spirits and beer for sale. I've recommended this store to my friends in the area.”
“Best staff ever, and great for online ordering (WAY better and more cost-efficient than using a third party on so many fronts). Professional, efficient, fast, helpful and friendly. They treat customers like clients, remember past orders to make suggestions in the event something is out of stock, etc. Unless needing liquor, I would never use anyone else in Baltimore.”

“This place has delicious food with lots of vegan options. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the area to order is in back of the shop and the sales person misdirected us to the bar, where we sat for quite a while before figuring out how and where to order. We stood by the bar for a while hoping to order from the bartender but were ignored by them. Would definitely go back though.”

“One of those rare independent neighborhood stores that is small but maintains a good selection from years in business. I’m a big guy and can still manage the aisles compared to other places. Staff is fun and the prices are *still* fair. Integrity like that deserves rewarding. Best liqour store near the water. Ed’s in Charles Village and Wine Source in Hampden are the only other ones worth the time imo.”

“Had the pleasure of stumbling in this store few weeks ago. Came across some great whiskey and prices as well. Some of the lowest in the area. The staff and owner was very friendly and helpful. They even offer free samples on store picks of alcohol. Definitely gives you the small town vibe and welcoming when you walk in. The owner is very helpful and will take the time to talk with you about anything in the store. There's also a check cashing place for all your needs. And lottery inside the liquor store. Truly you can't go wrong shopping here for your alcohol needs. And you definitely can't beat the prices... Mickys has become my go too for great finds and prices in the area for sure.”

“This place is fantastic. Great wine and liquor selection and a nice beer fridge in the back. Lots of great local beer. They even have some excellent charcuterie and cheeses and accompaniments plus steaks and brats etc. The staff is bend over backwards helpful and just super friendly and welcoming.
