Made an appointment for 3 pm, no one in the leasing office, had to wait 45 minutes and no one came. Extremely unprofessional and a waste of time

Disappointed with management/professional service. Had an appointment for 3pm on a Tuesday. Arrived 3:05 (our fault) but waited for 3:45 - no one was in the leasing office/picking up phones despite numerous calls/no “out of office/out to lunch” signs. There was a jacket draped across the chair and a laptop and computer open and running, so someone was still clearly at work, but no response.

I've lived at Jefferson House Apartment for about 7 years and my experience so far has been great. I normally don't write reviews but I wanted to take this opportunity to thank our current staffs at this building. Current office managers (i.e., Scott, Meagan, and Ms. Vercy) and the maintenance professionals (i.e., Jerry and John) make the living experience at this apartment really worth it. They are very helpful, prompt, and receptive to our needs- I can trust that my concerns (e.g., clogged sink) will be addressed promptly. I'm thankful to be part of this community that makes me feel safe and welcomed. Thank you for everything! :)

it's a terrible place. there was a repairman who just opened my door himself with the spare keys because I didn’t hear his knock. I lived on the first floor, it’s always noisy outside during midnight. The heaters are sometimes broken.

This is hands-down the best apartment for living in the Charles village area, especially for Johns Hopkins students and staff. The Jefferson House apartments are connected to the city and are less than a 5 minute walk to all types of public transportation, the Waverly farmer's market, hospitals and health care facilities. Also great access to supermarkets and restaurants in Charles Village. The apartments are spacious and have beautiful original details, but with new appliances and fixtures that make it feel brand new. This apartment's facilities are very well maintained and issues rarely come up. The few times I have had a maintenance request, management took no more than one day to respond and provide service. Staff member Scott responds promptly to all my questions and he always helps me out when I have questions about the convenient online resident portal. Both Scott and Danielle in the Jefferson house office are so professional and are always on hand to help me out and always do so with smiling faces. The maintenance staff members are exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. Management also does programming to unite residents and keep them up-to-date with what is going on in the Baltimore neighborhood. Overall, my experience in the Jefferson House has been incredible and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, safe, and quiet community in the great area that is Charles Village.

Jefferson House has a great location! It's right at two major bus routes. A grocery store and several restaurants, coffee shop, taverns, and a cool cafe are all within a short walk. It's so close that it feels like being on the Hopkins campus. There is construction currently going on next door and the building is old but well maintained. Management is great - they are very responsive and they also facilitate community among the residents.

Great apartment building especially for students at Hopkins. Can't ask for a better location with its proximity to the school, restaurants, grocery store, dry cleaning, bank, bus stop, etc. The building itself is also very clean and nice although some of the more recently renovated units are better than others. The staff and maintenance are extremely helpful.

LOCATIONIt's located literally seconds away from Chipotle and Starbucks and about a minute away from Hopkins. Of course, there is a hospital near by, but thankfully the sounds are not loud enough to wake you up at night. In addition, there is a construction project going right next to the Jefferson house apartments that will last till the fall of 2016, which essentially means that if you have an apartment that's facing the north side, it gets a bit loud from 7am - 5pm M-F. Thankfully, if you have a full time job or if you're a full time student, this shouldn't be that big of an issue because you're not going to be home.MAINTAINANCE & UPKEEP OF PROPERTYThis is where I think the Jefferson house does a really good job. With exception of the elevator & lack of AC on each floor (understandable since this is an old building), I feel as though management has gone through great lengths to make sure everything is kept in good shape (from renovations in the rooms, to a front door which uses an electronic card to enter, to a remodeled lobby).STAFF & PROFESSIONALISMThe staff at the Jefferson House are great. Scott is always quick to respond to emails and phone calls and goes to great lengths keep you happy. In addition, the website the Jefferson house uses ( you can pay your rent and submit maintenance requests) is EXCEPTIONALLY good. Theses are small things, but it shows that management truly gives a damn about things are run. To top everything off, I love the free Keurig coffee they offer downstairs during business hours. Truly a class act. Keep up the good work!

When I lived here from 2013-14, the leasing office and maintenance staff were very friendly and quick to respond. The apartment stays nice and toasty in the winter, but does tend to get hot in the summer. I'd definitely recommend installing a window AC unit if you're living here in the summer.

Location is wonderful, only a 2-3 minute walk from the Homewood campus. Very safe, as Hopkins securities always patrol this area and usually stand in the corner. Staff is very attentive and caring. With any issues, they are very prompt at responding and fixing situations.
