Worst bank ever, take your hard earned money to a bank that ACTUALLY CARES about its customers. First National is a joke!

Not too bad. Perhaps it's because I go to Howard Bank branches in Columbia/Ellicott city and centennial that I don't have to worry about complicated security measures just to make a deposit. Considering the location I think it's somewhat important to them but it's a bit of a inconvenience when you are busy. Staff I spoke were were friendly, which is always a good thing. Other than the difficulties I had trying to get in everything else was ok.

I came to this bank with my husband to open a business account, we a both Black, dressed very professionally, with all business documents in hand, we were totally discriminated against. The banker went to the Manger with our files, they called their legal team and we were told, as a Real Estate company we would be a risk to the company. I had 3k to deposit in the account, I see why this bank has very bad reviews. Two black professionals pose a risk interesting!

I've always had friendly, helpful service from the employees at this bank, once you get through the high security entrance door. The door could pose a problem for handicapped individuals, in my opinion.

I went to withdrawal money from my savings account and found out at the drive thru window that the bank closed my account, without my knowledge, for having 6 withdrawals that month. This is inaccurate information and when I asked for a statement with the withdrawal information, the teller was unable to provide that to me. Not only did they close my account but also advised that a check will be in the mail w/ funds from my account. A phone call would have been more than appropriate regarding this situation, especially if they valued me as a customer. A few weeks earlier, I requested a cashier's check, and the old teller w/ red hair who issued the check, misspelled the word “collegeâ€. This should have been an indicator as to what I was dealing with. I'll be banking elsewhere, that's for sure. If you value convenience and wish to avoid “screw-ups†with your money, bank somewhere else!
