I dealt with Howard Bank for my mortgage. Howard Bank had a lien on my home that is now with First National. I have been trying to get it released since the loan has been satisfied. This has been going on since 9/29/23. The city has not been updated yet. Constant emails saying they mailed the documents on 10/6 then changing to 10/9. I am frustrated.

Horrible bank, take your money elsewhere. Fulton Bank is right down the street. They have a skeleton crew working all the time, they give incorrect information and then you are charged a service fee which they won’t reverse. But they will hang up on you. Everyone in the lobby now knows my bank account number because they do everything digitally, but not discreetly. I don’t see them being around for long. Worst customer service at a bank that I’ve ever seen.

My company dealt with Howard Bank for about 5 years and everything went really smooth, we had a great relationship with this bank...until they were acquired by first national; somebody wrote a fake check and they cashed it, we reported this action and they refused to do even an investigation. This bank is a disaster for us, we are in the process of leaving this bank. The problem is not the staff that works at the bank, it is more a corporate culture of carelessness.

I was an extremely happy customer of Howard Bank. Sarah, Kim, and Sherrie are absolutely wonderful to work with.Unfortunately, First national bank just took over. Since then my FNB business cards have been hacked twice in one month. The first time the Howard Bank process went into affect to deal with it, and it went very smoothly and quickly. I had to replace the card and re-institute all of my automated payments. When I went on vacation my card got hacked again, which would point to a cyber security issue on the part of first national Bank. This happened last Thursday, and even with my branch putting as much pressure as they could, it still hasn’t been resolved. I have late fees through the nose that I’ll never get back, and was stranded out of town with no operating budget for my staff to work with.They don’t have a fraud department that you can call, or that picks up in obvious card fraud, or even a lost and stolen card number on the back of their card, and despite the fact that the staff at the local branch is absolutely amazing to work with and partner with from a business perspective, I would recommend not opening any accounts with any First National Bank. I’ll be closing my account and moving my business elsewhere.

I've had an account with Howard bank probably since I was 12 years old or so(well it was 1st mariner bank then). Recently with their $200 minimum to stay in your checking account, is obscured! Why!? isn't that the reason for a saving account? needless to say you pay $8 a month every time your checking account falls below $200, I will be closing my accounts!

Pandemic or not, I can’t afford to keep $200 in a Checking account at all times, nor can I afford an $8 monthly fee. Sadly, I had to switch banks. Former 1st Mariner customer who was happy with your bank before this. Very happy with my new bank, however, & I only need to keep $.01 in my checking account.

Nice, roll out fees in the middle of a pandemic if you don’t keep a minimum of $200.00 in your account at all times. Will be changing banks at my first opportunity.

I have banked with Howard Bank (Aberdeen Branch) since they bought out my bank several years and am so pleased that they kept the best banker gainfully employed. Teresa Stout is an amazing resource, person and banker! She walked me through the PPP process and that helped save my nearly 20 year small business from going under during this Covid pandemic.

The guidance from Chris and Toni on daily business items has been such a joy to know who to go to and that they will know how to get the job done. How great it is to have Howard bank and feel confident that they can provide the services we need. One less worry for us on a daily basis.

We recently switched our corporate accounts over to Howard Bank and it has been a wonderful experience. Just before the switch, we were banking with a large national bank. When COVDI19 hit we were unable to secure a PPP Loan with that bank. Howard Bank was able to secure our PPP Loan funding even though we were not technically a customer yet. They were invaluable in helping us navigate the crisis. They are extremely responsive and the customer service we have received is top notch.
