My niece was assaulted by her, then boyfriend and father of her child, my niece didn’t know her child’s father had a record of assaults on women….. after he assaulted my niece and attempted to break into our house house of roof was very helpful and helping her to relocate to a safer location and have him be charged and convicted

This place completely runs against their policy and promises they agreed up on to creat nonprofit organizations. Their main job is to destroy families, separate them and provide the fake victims some ID card illegally without investigation .

Several years ago, House of Ruth Maryland represented me in a divorce proceeding. Extremely disappointing!!! I was encouraged to literally over my house to my abuser.The attorneys’ work was substandard, and here I am many years later I am having to fight my abuser for what was court ordered.There is one Director in particular who speaks to clients in a condescending manner, she is very cold and abusive. The Board members should pay close attention to the posted comments, because change is long over due. Improvements are very much needed!!

Hello all I am hopeful that you are having a great day and if not remember if you are going through any type of intimate partner abuse; we are just a phone call away. On a lighter note; I have been working at the Hruth since November coming up on my 1st year and its has been an educational as well as a rewarding experience. Its been a long term goal to give back and work with the HRuth and now I am here and I am quite happy in my position and with management and my coworkers. I am a work in progress because I am still learning as well as giving back to the people we support.

I’ve been reaching out for help for myself and my daughter since February of 2022 I received a call about 2 months ago from a very rude lady that’s supposed to help me with my case, she called me when I was in the middle of a psychiatric therapy session for the trauma I’ve been through I asked her to call me right after my session is over she told me I had to talk to her right then and there if I really wanted help. Because she couldn’t call me back in 45mins she threw my case out! I’ve been homeless with no help and not one person called me back since! Every time I call I get a message to leave a message for someone to call me back. I’m still waiting! Maybe they’ll get the point front this review since no one has the time to call back.

House of Ruth does not do background checks on the employees.We found out after that we had hired a criminal.

No place is Perfect but on the plus side...the food was Good and the staff were nice. I wish they had more things to do for children but I definitely thank God for this place. Awesome women and Childrens closet. unfortuantely There is still alot of substance abuse that I hated to have around my children. Still I recognize that the staff cannot control everyone.

I am not against helping and supporting any one in need for assistance, in fact I support this with my hart as long as we are humans we make mistakes and great that support is waiting for you, but funding this organization either from the states or charity should focus on helping couples to united specially if they have kids from there own! But to help them mentally and motionley in fact what they do her is separating family from each other causing harm to kids and couples not just that but they use there lawyers to rep you off suing the other party and destroy his life and there carries and they expect to have more returns despite the divorce and the expense related to that , I have witnessed women who was there and have nothing to prove against here partner no police record, medical records and still stayed there for long period of time, please stop refund this please and please stop distorting peoples life and take there kids a way I believe in women rights but I don’t believe in foreigners women’s to take advantage of there sponsor person and take advantage of our court system in order to remain in this country they don’t follow the regular channels but they look for the sneaky way no matter what the circumstances are..

These ppl are solely focused on whoever claims abuse 1st, I called seeking help for my situation which got way of control and out my hands, cause I thought I was in love so I was constantly trying to spare the other person, I called these ppl seeking help desperately & I only got 1 phone call I asked the lady to call me back cause I was at an appointment never got a call back, I called looking for answer nothing then was told by someone that they really was unable to help me cause i attacked my abuser trying to defend myself, they was helping them , this place along with BCP are horrible. Now I know why I never called in the 1st place, even my therapist couldn’t get thru,

I stated before that it was okay but I wanted to state my whole experience I actually agree with the negative reviews regarding this place because I also had not so good experiences first let me say that there's alot of favoritism where I have seen staff members treat certain people who's paying more "special treatment" plus there was people who claimed to be abused physically yet their "abuser's" was meeting them near the building it was ridiculous I honestly will NEVER use this place again...
