The checkout wait time at this Harris Teeter is nothing like any other grocery store I have ever been to. Takes 20+ min to get through the line some days, there is almost always a significant wait I need to factor into shopping. Hopefully they are aware and working on this? They need more self checkouts or a more efficient process! Otherwise the store is great and has everything I need.

Everytime now lines are backed up well down the ails and self checkout all the way to back of store. You are not saving money but losing customers. I gave up and left my groceries right where I stood and left. Now someone has to put it back. And the managers just watch.

The supermarket across Boston street has an average of $1.5 cheaper in those similar items. No recommend.

Monday night, 6pm, 60 people in self checkout line and one register open. If only there were trends in the grocery store game. This place must print money!!!! One employee and the CEO!!

Worst Harris Teeter I've ever been to.This has nothing to do with the inventory/cleanliness/cost , which is totally fine. It's just that the checkout process here is horrible. No matter what time of day you are here, there are never more than 2 people working checkout lanes. This means that most people use self checkout, which wouldn't be an issue if there were more than 4 of them. This leads to lines that can reach the back of the store and upwards of half an hour to wait in line.Half of the time I come here, I just leave because the checkout lines are so bad and I don't want to wait 20 minutes for 3 items that I can just get at the Markets at Highlandtown. This store needs a fundamental redesign. Scrap any of the 12 checkout lanes that aren't being used and turn them into additional self checkout lanes.

Only 1 cashier, manager walking around talking with other employees. How about you train managers to help out and open a line or better yet hire people.

Just moved here from Virginia, every time I go to this location there's longggggggggggg lines, and maybe two, cashier's, totally ridiculous , no one want to spend the day, in line to pay for groceries. I NEVER, stood in line in any Harris teeter in VA like that Ever. And then a cashier opened up, and took the first person tht literally hopped in line, and was serviced before others that have been waiting, ? not good

Here's the thing. It's 5:15 PM, and HT only has *3* check out lanes open, including self-check. They're all at least 5 customers deep, all extending back up the aisles.HT is a good grocery store, especially at, say, 10:30 AM on a Wed., but this is the situation every. Single. Weeknight. And has been for months, if not years. I don't know why they can't seem to hang on to enough employees to fully staff, but they need to get their act together. Because in the amount of time I've been standing on line, a.) I've written and edited this review, and b.) I could have gone out to a store in the *county* and been home by now.

Harris Teeter is our go to grocery store in Canton. We did some price and quality comparison work pre-pandemic between target, Whole Foods, Safeway, and Harris Teeter. While it is cheaper to shop at Safeway and target overall, the price difference was pretty minimal. And the quality at Harris Teeter was significantly better. While the overall quality at Whole Foods was better than Harris Teeter, the prices were simply exorbitant, and the difference was not worth the extra cost. We haven't performed this experiment after the pandemic or with the new sprouts yet. The biggest issue with the next closest/best price to quality option, Safeway, is that the fresh produce is slightly better at Harris Teeter and the meat/fish selections are significantly better at Harris Teeter.
