The nicest grocery store in the city. Outstanding selection of fresh produce, as well as dry goods, pharmacy items, paper goods, and frozen foods. There is a fresh salad bar, oriental cuisine buffet, and a pizza station - all in addition to your standard deli counters. Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful, and the store was clean and well stocked. There’s even a Starbucks inside!

Customer service desk lady should have used a Vic card like so many others did in the past. Guess I was spoiled with how friendly they used to be.

I've been going to this fine store since opening day. This is the first time I felt totally disrespected. It was 8:30 am and not one checkout was open despite numerous employees walking around. The a rude woman told me they don't open registers until after 9, which is total lies as I've been in there early many times. I love the store and most employees have been overly nice but this checkout stuff needs to be addressed quick, at least one checkout needs to be open at all times, people detest self checkout and I had a food container which needed to be weighed. This cannot be good for business. I'm still irritated....

I had a lot of purchases, and my card wasn't swiping. The cashier called the mod, and she said she couldn't do anything about it. I was embarrassed. I wish the manager would have been polite and caring about my situation. The cashier apologized on behalf of the manager.

I waited in line for 21 minutes on a Sunday afternoon while three employees (two with manager tags) sat around in the front office with the door wide open. Optics is everything Harris Teeter. Frustrated customers and obviously overwhelmed employees on the floor noticed. Not a good look. Help bag? Open up a register? Put someone in customer service? Care and do better for your team and customers.

Their pharmacy is OUTSTANDING. They know my name when I walk up. I just had a prescription I had to have before they could get it in and they helped me figure out what to do.
The grocery store is great, too. Clean, well stocked, friendly staff. LOVE them.

The wait time in lines for checkout here are ABSURD. Pretty sure our food is going to go bad before it even gets into the car. The workers are moving and packing at a glacial pace, to the point that the lines are 2 to 3 times worse than they would be.

Do you LOVE waiting in line to check out at a grocery store! Then this Harris Teeter is for you! As you can see by the 21 other reviews begging for more checkout lanes, Harris Teeter knows what you want and you want to wait in line. There is never anyone, not one human being, staffed to check out in the normal lanes. Everything is self check out here. But don’t you worry! They have a generous 4 (yes 4!!!) self check out machines available for your use. I know what you’re thinking, most stores have at least three times that amount. Well fear not! Two of the self checkout machines are permanently broken and closed. The other two barely work, and the poor assistant has to come over almost every other item you scan. The assistant in the self check out area is a young 87 year-old man, who stormed the beaches of Normandy and is now forced by socioeconomic conditions to sleepily assist the 300 people trying to check out using two machines. Sure it only may take you 10 minutes to grocery shop, but you can easily wait in line up to a half an hour here to check out. This is the last time I’m going to this store, The ridiculously high prices, and no checkout options really make it a frustrating shopping experience.

The checkout wait time at this Harris Teeter is nothing like any other grocery store I have ever been to. Takes 20+ min to get through the line some days, there is almost always a significant wait I need to factor into shopping. Hopefully they are aware and working on this? They need more self checkouts or a more efficient process! Otherwise the store is great and has everything I need.

Everytime now lines are backed up well down the ails and self checkout all the way to back of store. You are not saving money but losing customers. I gave up and left my groceries right where I stood and left. Now someone has to put it back. And the managers just watch.
