What a lovely and professional experience. Allowed my cat time to explore the room and get to know the tech and vet. Treatment was clearly explained. When we left, my cat was unstressed and calm. Highly recommend.

Shepard was a lil spooked on his first checkup visit here but felt very welcomed by the excellent staff. Very well maintained and clean rooms. The doctors and staff did a wonderful job explaining everything and their recommendations, and made sure to offer plenty of treats throughout the visit to reward Shep’s bravery!

Best vet in the city. We have fostered 17 dogs as of now and have 2 dogs currently. If you live in Hampden or Roland Park there is no other choice. Dr. Papke is wonderful... The staff is just as good.

Dr. Papske was wonderfully warm and welcoming. I have forgotten the vet tech's name but she was also very welcoming. I like the non clinical atmosphere of the office and the treatment rooms. Meg had an awesome 1st visit. Thank you

Dr papke and her staff have been amazing with my cat. They’ve been incredibly patient and kind in helping me manage his diabetes, and I always feel the staff there treat him like they love him too, so gentle and sweet.

Pre-Covid, this office was 5 stars. Now, not so much. I can’t trust that the office has proper protocols in place to ensure that my two dogs are being taken good care of - ie getting a call after an appt letting me know a mistake was made and they forgot to give one of my dogs his shots. When I went back for the return appt they offered at 5pm on a Friday, we were left sitting for an hour after which I got to hear my dog crying in the back room which they said was from taking his temperature. Not to mention they make it very hard to order medication from their site, and cancel orders with no attempts to correct the order or a phone call. And no return phone call when you call to ask why it was canceled. I could overlook all of that except the basic fact that shots were missed in the first place.

Hampden Vet hospital is a great place to go for help with caring for your animals. They are kind, professional and compassionate. The entire team is also very easy to work with and very responsive.

Guess this place don’t have enough staff to deal with the flow of animals not even open for a long time yet and already not taking new clients this is why I don’t spend my money in my own neighborhood it’s either yuppie owned places or junkie owned or just flat out have no clue what they are doing maybe this a place that is all the above

Dr. Papke is the best! She is so patient, caring, and kind! We never feel rushed and she truly takes time to hear us out and then examine our animals. Her prices are great and the rooms and waiting area are clean. Hampden Veterinary Hospital is a gem and we couldn't recommend then more!

I have always had a great experience with this business , as I have brought all four of my fur children here on a regular basis, until today. The vet is great, unfortunately it's the unprofessionalism and the lack of organization and communication from the staff that was my issue. I was under the impression that we were in today for a second booster shot ( which I wasn't told about at my last visit about a month ago, however received a notice in the mail). When I arrived wasn't acknowledged at the door by the man at the desk, I even let him know I was there for my scheduled appointment (still no acknowledgement). A tech came to take my pet for blood work? Blood work? This is news to me??? The tech kindly went to check as to why he was getting Blood work. I was then told, since I had mentioned I also wanted to set an appointment for him to be neutered in the near future, there was initial blood work needed (which was fine, but nobody mentioned this at scheduling). As we go back to exam room, I mentioned to the tech that I was irritated with the front desk for the lack of communication, as well as how there was confusion as I initially scheduled. He made sure to pass this concern onto someone who I'm assuming was management. She came in to ask me my concerns and I told her my confusion and irritation and she acted like I was the one who was supposed to know what was going on, as well as made weak excuses for the poor customer service. Not an apology. No concerns for my confusion. No concerns for the lack of organization on their end. I ended up leaving without seeing the vet and stating that their customer service was unfortunate and awful and we will be visiting another establishment moving forward. She didn't seem concerned with the loss of business as she stated to "go ahead ".
