I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Lauren, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Lauren is incredibly empathetic and took the time to really listen to what I wanted. Her skill and attention to detail are evident—when I asked for a trim, she gave me exactly that! I left the salon feeling refreshed and confident. Thank you, Lauren, for your wonderful service!

Lauren Marah is such a skilled and personable hair stylist. I've gone to her a few times now and each time I leave looking beautiful and feeling like I made a great connection with my stylist! The salon itself is in a great location with a fair amount of parking availability (granted you are okay with parallel parking), a very welcoming environment, and a diverse range stylists for a great variety in skill sets and experiences. I definitely encourage going to Fringe if you are within the greater Balitmore area.

Laura is an artist with hair. A fine artist. She is very intentional with her work, knows it well, and is always striving to improve her skill and craft. I don’t go a day without compliments. Not a single day. She works hard to make me feel beautiful.

I’ve been going to Fringe for two years. This is a very special salon—the vibes are immaculate and I walk out of my appointments with dream hair. I bring in vague inspiration pics and Laura somehow knows exactly what I’m thinking, and then turns it out. She loves her job and her clients so much that she had me come back after she wasn’t completely satisfied with color she put in my hair and corrected it.
I love the staff at Fringe. And the snacks. And the music. And the Claws.

I typically gush about Fringe on my Instagram but I figured I would make my feelings public so everyone can know what a rare gem this place is.
Laura has done my hair exclusively for the past 6 or 7 years (I lost track). She is a remarkable colorist, stylist, business owner and person and is a MASTER at what she does. For example, prior to my visit two weeks ago I had not gotten my hair colored or cut since September 2023 and I was STILL getting compliments on my cut and color, like I was complimented two days before my appointment. She knows I'm a busy gal and rarely have space in my schedule for "me time" and colors my hair in a way that the grow out looks perfectly natural. She listens but isn't afraid to make suggestions. At this point I trust her implicitly.
Regarding the salon as a whole. It's the most welcoming salon I've ever experienced, and I have had the same feedback from those that I've recommended. The staff is friendly, accommodating and authentic in their interactions. They are funny, kind, and refreshingly straight forward in the best way, like, these are my people and I feel welcome. I can say that other than a new style, I look forward to the conversations and seeing the staff as a whole especially as a person that typically was a little anxious visiting salons before.
I'll continue to recommend Fringe to my family, friends, clients and complete strangers.

Laura is incredible, I went to her for five years and she was always excellent at what she did and my hair always looked incredible. Even after I moved out of state I purposely booked a session with her when I went back to visit. She's exceptional at color and you won't be disappointed!

Odessa did a great job with my mother and my hair. Though we have similar curl patterns, I appreciate that she made it hair look different and shaped them differently.

I asked for less volume on the bottom of my mullet and they kept chopping off more because it was "laying weird" aka she didn't know how to cut curly hair. I left with my hair 8 inches shorter when i really just wanted a trim. it's been 6 months and my hair is still nowhere close to how long it was before.

The cut was amazing! The staff were very friendly and professional, and spent time talking to me about what haircut I would exactly want. The environment is friendly and clean.

This salon is great and welcoming community spot that has a relaxed vibe with excellent service. Erin cuts my hair beautifully and I trust him to take my thoughts and make me look great. highly recommend and as a neighbor I'm so happy to have them here in this part of Baltimore.

The atmosphere and the staff was not an issue in my experience(Very welcoming and nice.). I desired a undercut/mullet look. I took 3 years to grow my hair out to a decent length after the big chop. 1st visit with initial cut was not bad. Just the cut was a bit uneven on one side. I made the mistake of calling back and giving them an opportunity for it to be fixed. Not only do the sides still not match after a second visit. One side just wasn’t fixed to match other BOTH WERE TOUCHED, SHAVED WAY HIGHER ,LEAVING ME WITH WAY LESS HAIR on top than the initial cut, and back to the same reason I did the big chop 3 years ago. I lied the second visit after they asked if I liked it and I said it was fine only because if more hair came off my head I would have undone all that therapy I paid for. Only book here if you want a 13th reason. Other than that the ppl were nice, decor and location were chill. (No I’m not adding a pic bad enough my friends are laughing at me.?)
Edit: I forgot to add the stylist informed me they noticed my cut was crooked upon my first visit after seeing pics of my hair they took. Yet never reached out to correct or inform me I found out on my own. I genuinely wish I had a better experience

I never felt so great about my hair after a cut until I left there! LAUREN MARAH is my new go to girl after going through so many bad hair cuts. She listens and is very skilled in knowing what would be best for you. The crew there is very lively and funny, made me feel really comfortable and welcomed. Definitely making them my goto recommendation for anyone who needs a great hairstyle by very skilled updated professional! My girl made me have Happy tears when I left! Loves!!
