A shame that "0" stars is not an option. The level of audacity of sending something like this and charging nearly $100 is astonishing. Shame! Never mind most of their stick photo items are missing from the basket, but the pears looked as if picked from the remnants of supermarket discards. Half spoiled grapefruit.

I live in Atlanta and wanted to order flowers to send to my son, who is performing at a show opening at the Hippodrome next week. I chose Flowers by Chris in Baltimore based on positive reviews and because it is a small, locally owned business. Unfortunately, my experience was not only disappointing, but each of the 3 people I spoke with were impatient and rude. Ultimately, I cancelled my order based on their customer service alone.After being on hold for 10 minutes, I spoke with Jim and ordered flowers to send to my son at the Hippodrome. When I received the order confirmation email, I noticed two errors. (1) in my son's name and (2) the message on the card. I called the shop back to make corrections. The person who took the original order answered, Jim, but abruptly put me on hold for another 5 minutes. At that point, a third person, Rob answered. Rob was not only exasperated I would call to make corrections, but unbelievably rude. He blurted out that I should *know* they were busy (because it was Valentine's day.) Although I understand how busy florists are on Valentine's day, as a widow, the holiday wasn't even on my radar. Had any of the three people I spoke with at Flowers by Chris simply mentioned they were overwhelmed, I would have called back after the holiday.Worse yet, in the course of talking through the corrections needed, Rob started yelling and told me my order was unimportant because it wasn't needed until next week. To be yelled at when the error was on the part of the business was shocking. When I objected to being spoken to so rudely, Rob told me he would cancel my order and hung up.In the end, it all works out because I searched for and found another small business in Baltimore, The Flower Box. When they answered the phone, I quickly said I knew it was a busy day, but asked if I called the next day, could they handle delivery to the Hippodrome next week? In spite of it being a busy day for the business, the woman who answered the phone at The Flower Box was patient, kind, and confirmed they could handle the order. We agreed I would call back to place the order tomorrow.It was a night and day difference between these two small businesses and ultimately, I'm glad to have found The Flower Box who was kind and patient, even in the midst of the Valentine's day rush.*** UPDATE to response from Flowers by Chris: It is possible I don't recall the correct name of the third employee I spoke. I may not recall his name properly, but I do recall being yelled at as I attempted to get the business to correct the multiple errors on the order I placed. Given the confusion over the specific employee at Flowers by Chris, may I suggest looking up the two people who handled Order # 73051017488. Feel free to email me if you need more details to address what seems to be a performance and customer service issue. As far as resolving the issue, Flowers by Chris did not resolve it, rather I resolved it by cancelling the order and placing it with another Baltimore florist, The Flower Box. Thank you.

This is the Go-To place for flowers in Baltimore. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledge. They always make beautiful arrangement. Every time I use them to create gifts, the person who receives them raves about how wonderful the flowers are.

When I informed the shop that the recipient of my order had not received her flowers they quickly discovered what had caused the issue and offered to make and send another arrangement. This shop was great to work with. The flowers arrived a little over an hour after I called, and the arrangement was beautiful! 10/10.

The flowers were lovely and I thank you for the delivery. I feel compelled to convey my disappointment in being charged a service fee of $9.99 because I am a new customer (in addition to the delivery charge of $17.95) - which I only became aware of as I checked out on the last screen of my online order. Apparently, this fee is not charged to repeat customers. While many businesses give discounts to new customers, this florist seems to penalize new online (and other?) customers with this service charge. Regrettably, this non-welcoming and inexplicable policy may not be an incentive to use this florist again.
