We chose this restaurant for our anniversary late dinner, on a Sunday at 8 pm, expecting a memorable experience based on its reputation. Unfortunately, it wasn't very pleasant from the start. The host rudely told my husband to remove his hat, which could have been handled more politely. For $125 per person, we expected far more. The vegan menu felt like an afterthought, with limited and uninspired options. The vine leaves were average, and the baba ganoush, while decent, came with only carrots and celery for dipping. The risotto was bland and lacked vegan cheese, and the eggplant dish came with a meager portion of potatoes when it needed something more substantial—like bread, which we later learned wasn't vegan, with no alternative provided. The only vegan dessert option was a plain sorbet, which was another letdown. Service was poor despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Our waitress spent too long discussing her experience of “trying” to be vegan but returning to lamb as she was disgusted with chicken, which showed no empathy for our values and made us uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the Madeira wine was served full of sediment and had to be decanted, which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. They charged the same as if nothing happened. We also had to wait several minutes for our bill as no one returned to our table, despite there being more staff than customers. The temperature inside was also bit cold. Overall, this was a one-star experience, and we won't be coming back. For the price, diners deserve better. If this restaurant wants to appeal to all guests, it needs to put the same care into its vegan offerings as its non-vegan ones and ensure respectful service.

We liked our seating this time at the far wall of the restaurant and enjoyed the two soups Spicy lentil soup and Syrian wedding soup. For mezze we had Kebbet Karaz (Lamb meatball), Knafeh Shrimp, this shrimp was delicious. The main dish we shared is Kebab Antabli skewers. We concluded with Ashta Bil Asal and Arabic Coffee. Service was impeccable. Will be back soon.

Always a fabulous time here at Amoora. This time we sat in the back room, with a beautiful view of the courtyard, and a burbling fountain behind us. A party of five, we did our usual drinks and multiple mezzes to make the meal. Consistently excellent food, ambience, and service.

We dined at Ammoora for the first time in celebration of our anniversary. The restaurant interior has beautiful decor and a calming atmosphere...a large bar and sitting area is separate from the dining room, and there is an outside dining space as well. We sat in the dining room. We enjoyed cocktails: Old Fashioned Date and Ambar Sunbeam (sunflower liqueur with sparkling wine), Za'atar Honey Burrata and Pita pillows made fresh, Short Rib Freekah and Braised Lamb Shank, Chocolate Tart and a taste of Baklava with dessert champagne to toast. All the food and drinks were exquisite in presentation and taste! Portion sizes were generous. It was certainly a meal to remember!! The staff gave us excellent attention and service from the welcome and throughout every aspect of dining. We used the valet parking, which was easy and convenient...fee was added to our food bill at the conclusion. A VERY ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE!! Thank you so much!! We HIGHLY recommend Ammoora!!

Exceptional customer service. My partner was running late by 45 minutes, so I notified them, and they were so understanding and accommodating. I was allowed to remain in my allocated seats, which were the best in town. Lol.... The evening went well, and I enjoyed my dining experience with them. Will be going back for sure.

Loved Ammoora, will be back. We got the meatballs and chicken rolls as appetizers. Both delish. We ordered the short rib and lamb as our entrees, both very good, but the short rib was special! Cocktails were delish, and the assorted baklava we had for dessert was perfect. Service was great and informative. And it's probably the most gorgeous restaurant I've been to.

This was not our first visit to Ammoora nor will it be our last! If you are looking for an elevated dining experience with top notch service and food, Ammoora is it. We are very familiar with middle eastern food and our waiter was still so knowledgeable and gave us great advice on selecting dishes. It really is a vibe of its own. This is definitely the place for a special occasion or just to treat yourself to a wonderful dinner.

One if not the best restaurant in Baltimore City. Amazing food and service. Every dish is a show stopper. The service staff never missed a beat... ????????

Another stop on the 50 Best tour. Fully understand Ammoora's place in the top. The food was really outstanding. The sultana salad and baba ghanouj carpaccio to start, then the lobster tails and fasolia batenjan for a finish. Several of the desserts looked delish, but we were stuffed. Just some mint tea and arabic coffee to finish the meal. We had a wonderful evening. Our server seemed overwhelmed and service was a bit slow, but I think these days finding sufficient numbers of workers is difficult. That said, Markie who turns out to be one of the owners, more than made up for it, taking our coffee/tea order and providing a small complimentary tasting of baklava. In addition, a brief snippet of welcoming conversation showed us that she understands what a high level of service is all about. We will be back.

Great drinks, great food, and wonderful service. We had a table of 10 next to us that was a little bit noisy, but we were still able to hear each other. This is a wonderful restaurant, one of the best in Baltimore! We will definitely be back and we wholeheartedly redcommend it!

Great food and good ambience (the dress code wasn't as stringently enforced as advertised). The hostess and bar service was top shelf but table service was slow and not as responsive as you'd expect at this price point. All in all a good dining experience and we'll definitely be back.

My wife and I were excited to revisit Ammoora after more than a year. The food was great, as always, but the server didn't provide the best experience. In the beginning, he seemed very engaged and willing to go over some of the restaurant week specials. However, after we placed our order, he rarely returned to check in or follow up to see if we wanted anything else. By the time we finished dessert, he immediately offered us the check and upon processing our payment, didn't even say anything you'd traditional hear from almost any restaurant. “Come again”, “Thank you for visiting”. Overall, a mixed experience.

This was our first time dining here to celebrate a birthday. I thought that the ambience of the place was lovely. The music was thoughtful and matched the mood of the place. We loved our server. She was warm and knowledgeable about the menu. We dined during restaurant week. The food was well plated and delicious. My salmon entree was well portioned however I felt that the cauliflower entree was quite small and more food was needed after. Maybe, rethinking the portion size (if it came with rice or another side would be appreciated). The drinks were equally great and it was nice to be surprised by a complimentary sparkling drink to celebrate a birthday. The dessert was delicious and the baklawa was one of a kind and so tasty. We made sure to buy some to go! Overall, I would like to dine here again to try more from the menu. I am glad we picked this place to celebrate a birthday.

My partner and I went to Ammoora to celebrate our first anniversary. There were a lot of people in the restaurant, but we still had plenty of space at our seats. From start to finish, the food was super delicious. We each ordered various vegan and vegetarian dishes and were SO pleased with how great everything was. Start to finish, none of the dishes disappointed. What really made the experience exceptional was our waiter, Clyde. Clyde was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu and easily able to answer questions to accommodate our dietary preferences and allergies. He was also so kind as to alert me to modifications I should request to enjoy the plant-based dishes to their fullest. We ended the night with a complimentary toast from the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Clyde inferred that I don't drink alcohol from a comment I made earlier in the evening, and had the bartender make a custom zero-proof beverage for me to toast to my partner with. I didn't even tell him directly - this exceptional attention to detail and the overall fantastic experience will surely have us return to Ammoora in the future.
