Upon entering the store, the older woman working at the front made a judgmental quip implying that she didn’t think my baby was dressed appropriately for the cool weather— meanwhile he was warm, comfortable, and sleeping soundly in my arms. Inappropriate and off putting way to “welcome” a customer.

These are my remarks of the Bookshop not Elliott's shop.While the variety of books from the 1700 s 1800s is everywhere apparent, which distinguishes this establishment from most used book stores, the owner took this with a sense of pride and bloated the listing prices for these books, even overpricing odd volumes (1 volume out of a set) and common titles of the time (Poems of Cowper).It should be known that age is not a significant criteria for judging a value for a book and only counts when books are incunables (printed before 1501)

I really enjoy going to this bookstore. There is a great variety of books, older and more recent copies. They are a bit expensive, but it is well worth the visit!

So Many floors of vintage finds! Books, clothes, housewares… and when you think you’ve seen it all there’s another mini flight of stairs to another level. You have to be patient and soft a bit, but if you love hats don’t miss the lowest level- there’s even a dressing room to try things on

Excellent selection of used books and wonderful African art (remind me to tell Steven and Kathy who collect masks etc) lots of fun eclectic antiques and oriental rugs. Very friendly and knowledgeable owners and staff. Will make a special trip to go back soon!

Amazing book store. The store may be overwhelming at first but once you realize the store is organized into sections for each genre of books, it becomes a wonderful experience to look through.

When in today to buy a few books and other articles for a nice Christmas present, while there I try to get assistance called to owner 4 time ( he was just half a feet away for me ) not once did he turn around to ask what I needed or anything until I walked to the front of his desk, same thing once I wanted to pay, lady saw me but did not even bother with my present, if you didn't want to make a sell i would have perfectly understand and just not waste my time, If you are a non white don't even bother going in, their are plenty of other stores with equally beautiful pieces.
