RJ and Rosie are the real deal! We got our puppy when she was about 5 months and, while she is incredibly sweet, she is high energy and was a bit too interested in our cat. She stayed with Rosie and RJ for two weeks and came back a calmer, extremely obedient dog with the same goofy personality. She used to freak out if she heard our cat upstairs and at this very moment she is calmly sitting in place while our cat watches her from the stairs. I used to dread walks because of her pulling and eating everything in sight, but now she walks right next to me and doesn’t even look at the ground. The pack walks are a great way to meet other owners and to get helpful refreshers. We are so grateful to RJ and Rosie and so glad we found Calm on Command!

We loved working with RJ and Rosie! Our dog, Ruthie, was having a lot of dog reactivity and we had worked with some other trainers with little success. Ruthie would be extremely anxious on walks and at home, leading to some torn up furniture and some close calls with other dogs. So glad we found RJ and Rosie! Before Ruthie went to her board and train program, they talked with us on the phone multiple times to answer our questions and help explain their process. It's clear they really care about the dogs they are taking care of and want everyone to have a great experience. The difference when we got her back was UNREAL! She is so much more confident now, and is a much happier dog. We see her being less anxious on walks and in the house which has been a huge life improvement for all of us. RJ and Rosie clearly communicated what we needed to do when she got home so we could keep up the training. They are also great at responding to questions after the program ended and provide additional assistance during the pack walks. So happy we decided to invest in this training program!

I have a puppy Boston Terrier who was a total monster! She Houdini escaped from her crate, pulled on the leash so tightly that she made herself choke, and literally was asked to leave daycare for getting all of the other dogs too riled up. Rosie and RJ saved us by taking her in and training both her and us! They taught us how to calm her down and practice with her and keep her focused and now she’s great! Is she still a puppy with too much energy? Yes. But she listens - and we understand her needs and know how to keep her attention. We’ve learned how to exercise her, and to give her breaks when she’s too tired. We’ve learned how to get her to stay calm before the exciting event happens so she’s not a lunatic. Even her old daycare took her back and she’s no longer getting too aggressive with the other dogs! RJ and Rosie are a godsend and I may have jumped off a bridge without them.

I rescued a GSD who came with some serious health and behavioral problems due to a history of abuse. He would resource guard me through lunging, barking, and growling at anyone who came near me. My husband was due to come home for the holidays from the Army and we were both in desperate need of professional help so that we could make the family work with our new pup. By the grace of the dog Gods, we found RJ and Rosie who were not only extremely professional, but willing to accommodate their own busy holiday schedule to ensure our pup Edmund could get the training he needed. We signed him up for the four-week boot camp to target his resource guarding issues and leash reactivity. RJ and Rosie also kindly offered to set up an introduction with Edmund and my husband at their place to ensure everything went well upon Edmunds graduation from bootcamp. Needless to say, the introduction went very well and my husband, Edmund, and myself were able to enjoy our holiday time together relaxed, structured, and filled with lots of love! What my husband and I are most appreciate of is the patience, accommodation, and transparency that RJ and Rosie provided us. They were always there to answer any questions or provide us with reassurance when there was hesitation on our end. Their work is truly incredible and we are still in disbelief on Edmund's transformation in just four weeks! To top it all off, Edmund has severe Pancreatitis, so he is on a special medication and food. Upon dropping him off at bootcamp, he still had bad diarrhea, and had been experiencing it since we rescued him two months prior. Rosie gave us a call and asked for permission to try him on a food she gives her own pups that experience similar food sensitivities. In two days, the diarrhea completely stopped! He has not had it since and I honestly don't think we would have found something that worked for him without her suggestion. Honestly there is so much I could say about our wonderful experience, and we hope to work with them in the future. Thank you SO much RJ and Rosie!

Rosie and RJ are amazing!!! I sent my 6 month old corgi puppy to them for 2 weeks and they completely turned around his attitude on walks, being inside the house, and around other dogs. Not only did they teach him manors, they were able to keep his personality the same. I could not recommend them more!

We are so grateful we found Calm on Command! RJ and Rosie are fantastic – passionate, empathetic, caring, and incredible dog trainers! We enrolled our adolescent Newfie, Beorn, in their two week bootcamp, followed by several private lessons to continue the training (and teach us the ropes). After the two weeks they had him, there were noticeable improvements in his attentiveness and eagerness to follow commands. We were so impressed by their training methods and their ability to tap into natural dog behavior to encourage learning, listening, and impulse management. Beorn also had a blast while training and developed a real connection with them (we often joke that RJ is Beorn’s best friend)! If all this wasn’t enough, RJ and Rosie helped train us on the right way to communicate with Beorn, setting us up for long-term success and continued growth! I enthusiastically recommend Calm on Command to anyone looking for an incredible dog trainer!

Cannot recommend enough! Our dog Harley is a young, rambunctious lab who is very hard to manage when she gets amped up. We did a 2 week program and she is significantly more attentive and in-tune with our commands, even in distracting situations. Within a week of continuing their training, she is able to go to restaurants without difficulty and walk with issue. We couldn’t be more pleased!

RJ and Rosie were excellent trainers and people to work with, for Laurel our 3 year old rescue, and have equipped both of us with an array of enriching training methods that help out Laurel with building her confidence and comfort in situations that she was previously very anxious to be in. We are also extremely thankful that they provided us with a couple extra days of boarding for Laurel at no additional cost as Laurel was receptive and improving with the time there. The post boarding support is also great.

RJ and Rosie did an incredible job with my reactive dog, Duncan! He was nervous around and would growl at other dogs, and didn't know how to live in the same space on sidewalks, in the lobby, in short distances, etc with other dogs, and was even starting to get defensive and reactive around humans. He now is a perfect walker, confident and obedient, and feels as comfortable going out into the world on walks as I now do. They were a joy to work with and constantly posted updates on Instagram and were incredibly responsive by text when I had questions. I would absolutely seek them out for training again in the future as necessary, and will definitely be using them for boarding my dog as well since he loved being around them so much, and I know I can trust them.

I can’t recommend Rosie and RJ enough! Our dog Tito was a stray dog with severe aggression issues. He would lunge to attack any dog or person that he saw. We tried a behaviorist who essentially told us to give up on trying to introduce him to anyone and recommended that we not take him on walks. We met Rosie and RJ at their booth at a 5k and they took 30 minutes to talk with us about their training and Tito’s challenges, it was immediately clear just how passionate they are about helping dogs. We took some time to think about it, it’s an investment financially and the thought of boarding Tito for that long was a difficult decision. After training my only regret is not signing him up sooner. Tito came home from bootcamp a happy, confident dog that can now go for walks through the park, run around without a muzzle, and actually enjoy his life. It is such an emotional transformation to watch! Since Tito has come home we’ve had a few questions and Rosie and RJ have been so incredibly helpful. They are such wonderful people and it is so clear how much they care. I would recommend them to anyone!

RJ and Rosie were a great help with our new rescue! In just a short number of sessions, she is already doing very well recalling and has greatly improved her initial issue of barking at new people. The pack walks are a huge bonus too!

We brought a yellow Lab into our house in July of 2022. Our grown Lab needed a buddy to play with and we always had positive experiences with Labs. Our puppy was trying to be the exception. He had way too much energy and never seemed to stop jumping on the bigger dog who was overly tolerant. Luckily we found Calm on Command, they worked with our wild man for a month and gave us the dog we were hoping he could be. Great training and wonderful people who always kept us informed of what was going on. Now our pup not only gets along with our other three dogs but he is by far the best behaved of our pack. I am so amazed and happy with their work and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their dog trained.

Really great training experience with an aggressive dog. I got my dog from a rescue after she had spent most of her life feral and in shelters. Within 5 minutes of meeting her, RJ had her calmed and following commands. They take the time to explain not just what to do, but also why it's important. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs dog training.

Rosie and Rj are the best of the best! I was dealing with some pretty severe separation anxiety and reactivity issues with my dog and felt completely overwhelmed. I reached out to Rosie and Rj and they promptly set up a free phone consult. They took their time explaining their different training services and gave me some tips on how to begin dealing with Lucy’s behaviors. I ended up signing up for the 6 lesson package and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Lucy is like a new dog! I can finally enjoy walking the Canton waterfront with her, introduce her to new people and she will even hold a down when we take her to restaurants. Thank you Rosie and Rj for helping us achieve what we never thought was possible. Look forward to joint you all for Pack Walk Sunday’s!

To say we’re grateful for finding Calm on Command K9 would be an understatement. I finally pulled the trigger and put our 5 year old Pit Onyx back in training and honestly it’s been the best money I’ve ever spent. I was fortunate to find them with a quick google search, something I had done time and time before. While I had reached out and spoken to other trainers none of them felt right or some just flat out didn’t respond. Rosie and RJ responded right away and set up a phone call to take the time to learn about Onyx, about the behaviors we were concerned about, and explain their training program in detail. They made it seem possible that our anxious dog could be calm and were very convincing that it was time to just go for it and they were right.Onyx had become more people and dog reactive in the past few years. Him meeting new people out during walks or coming over to our home would be met with consistent barking. Getting him to adjust to someone new was an ordeal that we began to just avoid because of the stress of it all and the time it took him to calm down and be comfortable. Walking past other dogs had become automatically growling and barking. Strangers who would talk to us just saying a simple hello or asking for directions would be met with growling and barking. There was consistent barking in the home when he would hear any little noise or knock. Onyx was just consistently on edge the majority of the time which at times would even lead him to react towards us.Seeing the change in just the 7 weeks we’ve worked with Rosie and RJ was insane. We were truly in awe of how quickly Onyx warmed up to them and learned. Onyx has learned so much and is able to heel during walks, lay down in public areas and stay put, adjust to strangers or new people with more ease, and overall be able to trust that we’re in control of situations so he doesn’t have to be. Shifting that power dynamic was huge for us, while difficult in the beginning with how that shift came about it has been well worth having a calm and comfortable dog. We’re also grateful for the amount of knowledge they’ve given us and how they trained us to be more consistent and disciplined dog parents. While dropping old habits and style that was only contributing to the behaviors we wanted to change. So if you’re looking for solid dog trainers I’d definitely say you found them.Added some pictures of Onyx placing indoors and staying put and calm with all the people around him. Literally something we didn’t even think was possible.
