One of the best tattoo shops around. I’ll fight anyone that says different. Everyone here is amazing, they make the atmosphere great to get work done in. Honestly though the best attraction here is the sweetest doggo. They told me I didn’t have to get on the floor to give him lovins but excuse me how could you not?! Anyways amazing shop, amazing people and artwork!

Hands down the best tattoo shop. ANYWHERE. If you’re looking for a great professional atmosphere and a chill vibe with chill people come here.
Each artist here is extremely talented and will accommodate any tattoo needs you have. If you’re looking for a banger of a traditional tattoo hit up David Ira. He does all of my tattoos and is the best in the business.

Prefer to leave 0 stars but it is what it is.
The owner/ artist over worked my skin, leaving large areas looking “chewed up”
The owner, Kike destroyed my skin & after spending over $1000 with him completing only half my tattoo.
- I asked if he could draw the rest of the tattoo and allow another artist to finish the piece so that I could avoid damaging the skin further/ distorting the tattoo.
- his response was “the other artist should be good enough to do it” & that there’s nothing that he could or was willing to do.
… Basically leaving me to figure it out.
As a business owner myself, I don’t understand this kind of response and unwillingness to help in any capacity.
I find it beyond unprofessional to operates in this fashion, especially when it comes to such a permanent situation.
*Please Beware*
Originally I was going for a cover up piece and now I have an even larger piece that is incomplete, disfigured & visibly scarred.
Disappointed is an understatement.

Trash. Called ahead to see if they had walkins and guy said absolutely. Asked if 5pm was good time. Guy on the phone said yeah for sure. Show up at 5. Says come back 5:30. Come back and sit there for what felt like another hour as the 2 artists didn’t say a single word to me while I was waiting there. Completely ignored the whole time. Eventually walked out due to their disgusting customer service. Don’t waste your time like I did.

I am a senior citizen who got my first Tattoo today at Brightside tattoo shop. The manager Patrick was very helpful and went out of his way to answer any questions or concerns I had. He directed me to Tom a tattoo artist. Tom was very pleasant to talk to, answered all my questions, and made me really feel at ease. The complete tattoo was done in a timely manner, and I was exceptionally happy with the results. I would highly recommend this tattoo shop to anyone even senior citizens!

I have been coming to Kike for 10+ years for various tattoos. The shop environment is always clean and welcoming. The shop is easy to find and a parking garage is conveniently located around the corner. For the service and positive experiences within this shop, I’ll continue driving an hour for great tattoos and conversation :)Service: Tattoos

I’ve had great experiences with walk ins. Unfortunately scheduling an appointment over email was a bit difficult. After a schedule conflict, we tried finding a new date but I never heard back after half a month.

I had some ideas for calf tattoos to celebrate my third RAGBRAI ride across Iowa - 500 miles on a bike next month. Tom McMahon drew and stenciled based on some images that I sent him. One is pretty simple - the DC flag. The other, a bit more complex - Celtic design inside a bicycle crank chainring. He was ready when I arrived and showed me the designs, offering to make any changes (none were necessary). He told me what to expect and how much time each should take to line and shade, went to work expertly and nailed it almost to the minute for each. He left me well prepared for post-care. Great experience.

They will waste your time and tell you your body doesn’t look good enough for the tattoo you want. Would not recommend women come here for a tattoo. Especially women of color.

I overall don't have any issues with the shop, it was a dope feel, I was helped quickly, they also have this awesome machine that you can get a random tattoo from(no I didn't utilize this) It was more so with my tattooer(I suppose that's the word to use) I unfortunately love my tattoo, but... 2 weeks after getting it - it has already faded in some spots. My tattooer - I felt like he wasn't 100% into it... And I get it maybe they just had a long day - but I expected 10/10 on such a simple tattoo and for some lines to be faded already hurts me - because I know the tattooer does great work(portfolio) I'm not sure the issue. I would recommend going here 10/10, as I am going back myself.

The shop is spacious, clean and bright with plenty of designs to choose from if you need inspiration. The staff is friendly, talented, and knowledgeable. I've been coming to Brightside for about a decade and all of my work looks beautiful.
