Photographed Fiorella and Christopher’s wedding here and fell in love with this classic Baltimore venue. Lots of beautiful spots for photos.

Belvedere & Co. Events is top notch! I've worked with quite a few venues over the years and their team is absolutely incredible from start to finish. Their event planning team made sure that every detail was perfect and their communication was clear and timely. The food and service were incredible. I can't wait to work with Belvedere again on a future event!

First, the venue and the rooms are beautiful. We were in the JEH ballroom and while it could use a little TLC as an older room it was gorgeous (I have heard they were replacing the carpet which will help). We plan a lot of social events and I will say this was one of the most disappointing venues we've ever worked with. I'm sure they're great if you are one of their bigger weddings, but they let so many small things fall through the cracks with our event we were absolutely shocked. We felt unimportant to them the entire time as we weren't a wedding. As other reviews have said they either nickle and dime everything or just say they "can't" do certain things. For example, we paid $200 so that we could pay another company to rent a few pieces of furniture. We paid $200 for a coat check and no one even knew where it was so they left coats everywhere. All of these things are fine, but you expect to get what you pay for when so many things come with an extra price tag. It's not what we expected from such a historic, well-known venue. A few of the more surprising issues we had.- there was no red wine allowed in the room we were in, we were never told this. we even clarified the bar menus with the "planner" ahead of time. That evening no red wine was served and none of our guests were given an explanation of why, just told "no." Don't worry we were still charged the full price for the beer and wine package even with 1/3 of the beverages missing. It seems a bit criminal to charge full price for a package with a chunk of items missing...especially when THEY knew we wouldnt be allowed to have red wine and WE didnt. They did nothing to financially compensate for this, just said "oh we don't allow red wine in this room on the carpet." This was one of the most shocking things i've come across when planning events. I actually can't believe they charged us full price for this.- We talked to the planner about going to owl bar after and despite confirming we were going, owl bar was never told and our guests were rudely turned away. This is the afterparty we told everyone to go to and the planner... despite confirming numbers never let them know... it caused chaos for our guests as we tried to find smewhere else to go. They claim this is an ongoing issue with weddings and apologized with a $50 gift card- They lost some of our koozies and then tried to say it never happened, which was ridiculous and just untrue. It's not fun being told by a venue you pay so much money to that you are basically lying.- It was hard to find someone that evening to help us when little things went wrong (people couldn't find coat check, way too hot in the room, wrong music playing, lost items etc.--- it's like the hosts were the last thing they were worried about).- They charged our card without giving us an itemized receipt of our alcohol consumption so we have no idea what was consumed, or a final total... just a charge on our card with no heads up. Again it feels... gross. It felt like for everything they did right (finding our vegan guests) they messed something up (claiming certain food was brought out when no one got it). They did call us to apologize and clarify on a few of these things, but i've had much better experiences and fewer issues at other venues in the city. We hosted a similar sized party a few weeks before at Barcocina which overall did a MUCH better job for a fraction of the price (different vibe of course, but they seemed much more equipped to handle events, and we had low expectations for this more casual social event). It's really sad when Belvedere is so pretty and the venue was trusted with a very important event of ours.We just want other people planning social events to be warned of our experience as we were overall disappointed in the cost to value of this event. And I wish i would have also read some of the negative reviews first so I was more prepared.

The Belvedere was an absolutely dream as a venue and I'd highly recommend it to anyone considering a Baltimore wedding. The space is gorgeous and the team is incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. There are many different options to choose from for layouts in the spaces at all price ranges and the team communicates clearly throughout planning. The team was also flexible and willing to work with us when concerns did arise and was very responsive to questions we had. The vendors they recommend are incredibly professional and have a very high level of experience working in the space. Lastly the food was fantastic - all of our guests were highly complementary. The day of the wedding my expectations were absolutely exceeded - we were blown away at how beautiful all of the spaces were. The event team was at the ready throughout the event - bringing drinks to my husband and I + our families, collecting gifts and generally being extremely helpful. They are all extremely friendly and seemed to be having fun as well as taking their role very seriously.I highly recommend The Belvedere - building and the events team have a special place in our entire families heart.

Thank you for hosting our 50th Wedding Anniversary Renewal Celebration on Sunday, November 19, 2023. We commend the entire staff for their excellence in making our celebration unforgettable. The Palm Ballroom was beautifully decorated and arranged for our party of nineteen. Our guests commented on the excellent meal, which was served with elegance. The Historic Belvedere was the perfect venue for such an important moment in our lives. We are delighted to recommend The Belvedere & Co. to others looking for a venue to host an event.

I had my son's engagement at this venue. The 13th floors' view is spectacular. My issues were: communication with the party coordinators is very difficult. They charge a ton of fees on everything, including taxing the $2,000 venue fee. They also charge a 23% service charge on the top of the bill. When asked what that paid for, I was told the staffing. I had to pay at least $175 for each staff member, including someone to dip our ice cream for the dessert bar, so the staffing was paid for...CRAZY!!! The bar staffing (which I paid extra for additional bartenders) were rude, abrupt and downright ignorant to my guests. THE STATION FOOD WAS HORRIBLE...and expensive. The sliders were dry and cold (all 4 kinds); we ran out of bread for the crab dip and they refused to bring more; the dry rub chicken wings were like having a mouth full of powder. The butlered food was better but not worth the $$$. I would stay away from this place for an event. Like I said, the view was nice but it is certainly not worth the $$$. Just visit the Owl Bar.

My husband and I had the best time working with Belvedere & Co. Events. Everyone was fantastic to work with, always responded promptly to questions, and made sure everything went perfect on our wedding day. Our cocktail and reception space were absolutely stunning and everything we dreamed of!

Belvedere & Co. Events doesn't deserve a 5--THEY DESERVE A 10! They truly lived up to their business model of producing a stress free wedding. I enjoyed working with Cindy and Lizzy--they remained calm during during my times of panic. And the building is breath taking. Because of them, our wedding was viewed by the guestsas "elegant," "A-1," and a "class act." Thank you, Belvedere!

Anyone looking to have their wedding, party, or any type of social event, DO NOT HAVE IT AT THE BELVEDERE & Co. This place is a rip off. I held my daughter's graduation party, June 2023, on the 13th floor. The venue spaces are beautiful but the food is horrible. When I say horrible, I mean HORRIBLE. I chose to serve Butlered Horsd'Oeuvres and have Stir-Fry Action Station. The hot foods were cold and the portion size was small. I know one is saying, "Horsd'Oeuvres were served and they are miniature in size." My food items were undersized. In addition, do not expect homemade food. The food served was frozen purchased at your corner grocery store.* Miniature Crab Cakes - They certainly were miniature. My guests were served a pea size something.* Tempura Shrimp - They were cold and they didn't serve the amount I paid for. On top of that, the bartender was eating my food.* Salmon & Asparagus Enrooted - This food item was okay but cold.* Crispy Cauliflower Lollipop- This food item was okay but cold* Chick Stay - It seemed like the chef took the small chicken skewer out of the freezer and placed them on a serving tray. The Stir-Fry Action Station was served with bird's eye mixed vegetables with no rice or noodles. Anybody knows, stir-fry dish is served with rice or noodles. In addition, the vegetables were cold. One of my guests put a piece of broccoli in a server's hand so they could feel the temperature of the food. Also, the food wasn't replenished in a timely fashion. My guests had to wait at least 25 minutes before the cook was given more bird's eye mixed vegetables. I was so embarrassed and hurt. I am supposed to be enjoying my daughter's celebration, but I am running around speaking with cooks and the manager about the food. Being known as an event venue, I thought the Belvedere would but on a stellar event. They should have been prepared to host a gathering of only fifty people. Mind you, the venue is very costly and they charge for everything. I definitely will not be using the venue for any other celebrations nor am I going to suggest the venue to family and friends.

Stunning venue for a wedding reception. You can snag beautiful views of Baltimore from the windows that peek out of the ornate ballrooms.

I read these positive reviews before booking and was incredibly disappointed to have a different experience. Future brides; and please read our warning and save yourself the disappointment.Venue specific feedback:It was incredibly hot and humid inside the building. One of the main reasons we chose this venue was because we wanted to be out of the heat but everyone ended up sweating bullets because apparently the building i/ too old to cool properly. They didn’t even have the air on in the parlor suite where we got ready so makeup was melting off as it was being applied. We were incredibly uncomfortable and the humidity turned my hair into a frizzy mess that was super frustrating. I would absolutely not recommend a summer event at the Belvedere for that reason. It has all the drawbacks of an outdoor space with none of the benefits.Reception specific feedback:I paid around $600 for fruit and cheese displayed appetizer and multiple guests got rotten berries. Strawberries with obvious ugly brown spots. I thought my friend must be mistaken but then I went over and I got rotten fruit too. I would never serve that in my home and was incredibly disappointed to serve it at our wedding. We paid around 600 for a single baked Brie en croute pastry that our guests had to cut themselves. I’m assuming it wasn’t sliced because then it would have been even more obvious that that isn’t 40 servings. We had small plates fish and short rib for the dinner portion. I was charged for each guest to have one of each but when they went to be served the server made them choose beef or fish giving guests the impression they could only have one. They should have been in offered beef fish or both that’s what I paid for. I paid for double the food that guests were actually offered. I also paid for two attendants but every time I looked over, there was only one. There was a bunch of nickel and diming over petty things. Example: the microphone for the ceremony and reception was an additional rental fee of $75 each. I was charged $200 for a table for dessert (that we had already paid the baker to set up). At that point just raise the venue rental fee with the initial quote. I don’t want to deal with petty charges like that. I had enough to think about.I was happy on my wedding day. I’ll have good memories of my wedding, but I would absolutely never recommend this venue to anyone. Maybe our 13k fee wasn’t big enough for them to bring out the 5 star experience but our wedding was hot sticky and just generally below expectation.
