10/10 would recommend. From the first contact with the company, professional, courtesy, and kind. Dan, was the first contact, scheduled a free estimate, described what we needed, and scheduled the job. Brian the gentleman arrived early (nice surprise) and started the job right away. Not only did he prepare the area for the new install railing, Brian also was kind enough to grind down remnants of the old railing that had rotted away, to give a finished look to the cement. The installation process was quick and clean, left the front cement steps looking great. So very happy the the results. Slightly more expensive then previous quotes, but definitely worth the quality of work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We just had a new entry door, sidelights, and storm door installed by JW Calvert, and I couldn't be more pleased! Danny, the salesman, was very honest and helpful - absolutely no pressure - and patient! Danny was at our house when Jimmy came to install the door too, just to make sure everything was okay. I thought that was great - he wasn't just here for the sale, but came back to make sure we were satisfied with the product and the work. Jimmy's work is METICULOUS! He, too, was very helpful, made sure we were satisfied, and left no mess behind! When I stopped by the shop, Mike, was very pleasant, helpful, and didn't make me feel rushed or pressured. They're just a great team, and I don't think you can go wrong hiring them for your own projects! I will always call them, now, and would recommend them to everyone!

Hats off to Dan Mullineaux. My windows were weeping. He came to my house for an estimate and told me I just needed a dehumidifier. He did not try to sell me windows. I really appreciate his integrity. When I do need windows, I will surely contact him.

We just had a porch railing and handrail installed at our home by Calvert and couldn't be happier with the resultsThe pricing was competitive and we were impressed with the quality of the product, and the method of installation. The installer was most cordial and meticulous with the installation and cleanup.A totally stress-free experience!

This is a wonderful company. They did a beautiful job replacing my front porch railing two years ago and I have hired them again to do my back porch this spring. They are great with customer service, show up when they say they will, and do a great job.

Had a great experience with Mike and the team who installed a railing on our front steps. Even though we're pretty far from their location (in Crofton), they came out and provided a detailed quote within days of reaching out. We ended up waiting a few weeks to install and there was no pressure to schedule. Once I was ready, they had a contract put together and the railing was installed just days later. Their pricing was competitive, but it was really their service that set them apart. Can not recommend them highly enough.

Calvert cut in a set of two windows into the side of my house. They installed it 11/2" too high so I asked them to lower it. They sent one guy back to lower it and he left the resulting 11/2" gap around three sides uninsulated and didn't install a window frame around the outside, just bent aluminum to make a faux window frame. So much for the low E windows. Imagine the cold air coming through all winter long. After four half hearted attempts to get it right, the final result was unfinished and pathetic. They put a window frame on the outside that was double the width of the frame next to it. The upstairs window they cut in was the same story, too high, frame too big and crooked, caulking was awful. Calvert still wanted their 5000.00 for three windows, unfinished. It looked like a homeowner had installed the windows. As for the new siding, the panels were straight but they left multiple gaps between panels, there is supposed to be an inch min. overlap. The trim was awful, they didn't wrap the j-channel around the windows, they butt- jointed them and now water can get behind the siding. Jay, the salesman/ foreman never heard of wrapping the j-channel. The first you-tube video that comes up is how to wrap j-channel around the windows. If you get new siding, make sure the installers are certified, it really does make a difference.Worst of all, Calvert left the step flashing uncovered where first floor meets the second floor and a storm hit. We had water all the way to the basement, a straight line across the house of damage right underneath the flashing. Calvert denied responsibility when I tried to make an insurance claim. Hey accidents happen, but to deny responsibility is telling. They finally offered to settle but said they weren't at fault.Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these guys. They are in and out as fast as they can get away with. The owner doesn't examine his subs. work, he defends it with a thousand excuses.
