Been to this location 3 times now and every time they have some kind of computer or network issue that interferes with providing the service in a smooth manner, or at all in the case of today. It also seems that they are understaffed every time and they literally tell everyone around them how overworked they are and don’t want to be there which really doesn’t make the customers feel great or welcome.
Today they were having yet another system issue which prevented them from accessing my insurance information or something. After awhile of waiting for them to get things together I was basically told they couldn’t help me and I would have to reschedule my appointment. This was not a short drive for me to make from Chestertown across the bay bridge so it was quite an inconvenience. I could tell they were upset about the situation but their demeanor and negative attitudes were making it so I didn’t really feel bad for them.
My takeaway is that Visionworks as a company needs to figure their systems out so their employees aren’t put in a bad spot and severely inconvenience their customers. I’m not sure I will remain a customer after two previous mediocre experiences and today’s bad one.

TERRIBLE! The experience was awful. There is no doctor (everything is online), no manager and the people in charge of customer service are mean. There is a complete disrespect for people's time. We waited for an hour before deciding to cancel and leave. A total waste of time!

Rude. It took days before anyone even answered the phone and when she did she had thee worst attitude. So I go inside a day later, nothing has changed. The person who is I guess running the front office is just as rude, I guess because she had so many customers and not enough help but thats not my problem. I was kind when she barely asked how she could help me. I dodged a bullet by not making an appointment, I cant imagine paying for such horrible customer service. The doctor may be the best, but I'll never know with the front office staff she has.

Everyone here is soooooo rude.
The customer service here is so poor. I brought a friend here who is not from here, and they were far from accommodating . We are not coming back.

BAD... If you value your vision do NOT trust Visionworks... Find a reputable ophthalmologist...

Wonderful! The lead senior optical specialist— Sherri — was simply fantastic! Doing the exam and helping me select THREE pair of glasses that she swore she would “not let me leave looking bad” in ANY of them. And she was 100% correct!! You’d be lucky to get her at your next visit!!!

The customer service lady or whoever she is was a real a hole. I'm autistic so I struggle with coming to places like this and she was no help at all. She kept mumbling stuff under her breath and was rude to other people as well. Some walked out.
I wanted to see if I was able to order glasses with my insurance or see how much it is to buy them. She kept telling me to call my insurance but they have my information in the system. (Another location couple months ago told me I would have to wait until June, this month)
She mumbled under her breath "well you're going to have to wait then." I had just drove like 2 hours here cuz it was the closest location and it's the only business that takes my insurance
All she had to do was look me up on the computer and give me information

Starlina was very professional, patient and a good listener. And worked smart. I watched her helped my son and wife at the same time spontaneously. That was an awesome sight to see. I felt very comfortable

Don't go to that place, there is supposed to be someone who helps if you only speak Spanish,
Buy the glasses at the time of payment
They tell me that if they are damaged or the prescription is not correct, they will change them.
When I asked someone who spoke Spanish,
I received ridicule,
One of them said I was stupid for not understanding what he was trying to tell me,
They thought it was very funny when I tried to use my phone's translator,
When I asked someone who spoke Spanish, he asked me to leave the area where they take the exam, because he said that that day, okay, there was someone who attended in Spanish, when it is assumed that before making the appointment I asked for someone in Spanish,
It is the worst place I have visited,
Pay $400 for a service
And now I want them to change my glasses, and it seems that I am asking them for the service for free because they have received me in a very bad way!
Do not visit this place

Yesterday, I had an eye exam and bought new frames. I must say, Sheri was absolutely fabulous! She provided very pleasant and friendly customer service. At one point the store became busy with multiple customers needing her attention. One customer was particularly rude and had a bad attitude, but Sheri remained so sweet and caring and provide the best care. She was also so helpful in assisting me to find new frames that I was happy with and felt confident wearing. I will only visit this location because of the great care and service I received!

If I could put Zero stars I would!!! The GM is so nasty and rude she made the whole visit so unwelcoming. GM basically sat in one spot the whole time and spoke to her staff so rude which made me and my family uncomfortable. Also, our order was placed incorrect. Next time I’ll just take my business elsewhere.

I would not recommend this store to anyone.. I have a 10:40 appt. And I am still waiting at 11:32 and there was just one person in front of me when I arrived.. The staff appear to be new.. Now I am told that I will not be seeing a doctor but the staff will be performing the eye exam and sending the information to the doctor.. Confused!

Visionworks of Annapolis has always been my favorite for my eyes care. The staff is great, friendly, attentive to your need.

I would like to take a moment to thank Ms. Mame for her assistance and another female (whose name I did not catch) who helped me on two of my interactions within the store. It is clearly evident Ms. Mame enjoys what she does and cares about those who walk through your doors and the experience they have while there. If I could leave a separate review, hers would have 5 stars.
However, I cannot say the same for Ms. Rochelle. From my first interaction with her on (or around) Feb. 1st she provided nothing but attitude and arrogance with the “service” she provided. On my initial visit back to the store I questioned why the clerk from Jan. 20th would have processed my transaction through insurance for contacts instead of glasses. This was a blatant overcharge from the store. While this was no fault of Rochelle’s, the way she handled the situation was 100% in her control. Due to the timing of my arrival she insisted she wasn’t going to take care of it that night and would process it the next day (stating my insurance would need to be reinstated to correct the transaction). I had no issue with this, asked if I should take the glasses with me, she said “No” I left it at that and went home.
A few days had passed and there was no communication from the store, I reached out Feb 3rd or 4th, she told me “I did it!” and to call back in a week or so. Feb. 11th I made several attempts to get through as a follow up and was placed on a continuous hold each time and eventually gave up trying to get through as it was between 06:30 pm – 07:00 pm. The next day Feb. 12th after several calls I was finally able to get through, again reaching Rochelle who then told me it would take 5-6 weeks from when she submitted the request and to call back at the beginning of March. No problem, I’ll follow up in March. Time passed, March approaches and I waited until March 4th to give the store a call. Monday, Mar. 4th around 10:00 am I call, I get Rochelle, as soon as I give her my name, she sighs, states why I’m calling and tells me she/the store is “busy” and asks if she can “give me a call back later?”. I questioned if she could give me a ballpark timeframe as to when I would receive a return call as I ordered my glasses in January and this has been going on for quite some time. She responds with whatever snarky comment it was that she made at the moment and told me no she cannot. We then ended the call.
After this call with Rochelle, I picked up the phone again and called my insurance company. I highly encourage you to reach out to Davis Vision and speak with Kim E. She is the only Kim E. in the company, I’m sure she’d be more than happy to inform you about the less than favorable interaction she had with Rochelle that day as well. Kim E. did inform Rochelle the call was recorded for training purposes, you should inquire about access to this recording. If Rochelle is an example of the “personal and professional integrity” that Visionworks believes is their “most important attribute”, I think you’d disagree once hearing how she conducts herself with your customers and partnering insurance agents.
A situation that was drawn out for a month was resolved in a twenty-four-minute phone call to my insurance company.
Your code of business conduct also states “customer, provider and supplier relations are the cornerstones of our business. They must be built upon credibility and mutual respect”, mutual respect has far gone above Rochelle’s head and she is incredibly lacking in that department.
I absolutely refuse to spend my money, my family’s money or refer friends to a company who allows employees, especially those in upper management to treat clients this way. From this location's reviews on Google, I can see I am not the only one to have negative experiences in this location.
Please train your management at store 304 on how to interact and service clients more efficiently.
