I had the pleasure of returning to the Annapolis store across from my building in Town Center and spoke with John Comer, the Sales Manager. I needed a new watch sized. Incredibly helpful. What I really love about this store is the fantastic customer service, no matter what the reason for the visit. Prices are excellent and the selection of quality merchandise is terrific. Thank you John for your time.

We have bought necklaces, earrings, gifts, and a bracelet here and should have learned the first time not to spend our money at Smyth. Items are overpriced yet the quality is horrible. We have a broken silver bracelet and gold necklace chain as well as silver plated boxes that are flaking. Beyond that it is a total time suck and getting anything accomplished is exhausting and done in a condescending tone. Whether choosing an item, having repairs done, picking items up or simply checking out, it takes forever. Don’t waste your time or energy. There are many great jewelers around town and for gifts try The Cottage, Whimsicality or Green & Bean just two doors down.

Sales associate made a rude comment about my fiancés engagement ring. I have a feeling it was because it did not come from their store. Will not return and will not recommend to our friends.

I went to Smyth to get a ring of my grandmother’s resized. This ring was sentimental so I was nervous to have anyone work on it. Smyth’s associates were incredibly professional. They resized the ring within two weeks and did an amazing job. I would absolutely recommend them!

I moved to Annapolis Town Center several months ago and had just purchased a new watch that I needed resized. This was my first time at the store. I was greeted by the jeweler who happened to be the district manager Mark. We got to talking about watches and it was such a pleasure chatting with him. My watch was adjusted perfectly. He took the time to show me some of the fantastic watches in the store. Additionally, for watch adjustments and batteries, the prices are very reasonable. Since I live across the street, I am looking forward to having my watch and jewelry needs taken care of here. Smyth jewelers has been around for 100 years and I'm glad I had a great experience. My daughter, who lives in Severna Park, has visited the store previously and had a great experience as well. Thank you Mark.

Bottom Line: Gorgeous jewelry, lovely gifts and consistently friendly, no-pressure service.I've been a Smyth customer well before they came to Annapolis so I would guess close to 20 years. What I like about Smyth is that they are trustworthy and friendly, they have competitive prices and there is never any pressure to make a purchase. I've made some smaller purchases online and I've been able to pick them up in the store. I appreciate that Smyth is easily able to courier things from the Timonium or Ellicott City store to Annapolis. For larger purchase, I visit the store when I have plenty of time to try on different pieces and make a thoughtful selection. Even when I am not in the market for jewelry I enjoy popping into Smyth for their lovely collection of gifts like Scout bags, Jellycat stuffed animals and Corkcicle drinkware. Smyth's Annapolis location is in the heart of the Annapolis Towne Centre. There is plenty of parking in several nearby garages or if you are really luck there is some street parking out front.

I purchased a Mackenzie Child Tree with no problem and they matched the sales price I provided. So I inquired about another piece and asked if they could match the price. I was told someone would contact me on Monday. (I asked on a Saturday). So I expected to here something back. Well 2 months later I get a response and they said it was sold out??? I guess it was sold out since it was two months later. I wrote back and asked if their response was a joke? They had the nerve to respond and say the text was meant for someone else. Yet the item they identified was just what I wanted. I would of just appreciated an honest response stating they dropped the ball and apologize for not getting back to me sooner. Terrible customer service!

What an awful experience. The general manager needs a customer service refresher. Rude, condescending, and dismissive. They must have more customers than you need. I won't be back that's for sure. Plus, he didn't even look the part.

The best place to buy diamonds locally, hands down! I have shopped around at other local jewelry establishments but no one can come close to the quality and price of diamonds at Smyth. I bought diamond stud earrings here a few weeks back and was so pleased with the customer service that I went again and bought this gorgeous wedding band. I highly recommend Smyth for all your diamond needs!
