I recently stopped in to set up an account for an IRA with Sandy Spring because I heard many positive things. I felt uncomfortable when another employee started yelling at the woman currently helping me with setting up my new account. I wanted to walk out of the bank, but I didn’t want to seem rude to the person who was working with me since she had spent a lot of time trying to help me as best as she could.

I've completed several closing transactions with Steve Haney and his team. He is by far the best Mortgage Banker in the business! He is knowledgeable, patient, and very responsive. He takes time to explain each document, listen to my needs, and presents various loan options that may be available. He's been my go-to guy for many years and I'd hands down recommend him to anyone! Contacted Annapolis Branch about opening a Roth IRA, put on hold for over five minutes, no one came to the phone. Contacted Pasadena Branch, put on hold for five minutes, no one came to the phone. Contacted Annapolis Branch again, gave them my name and number, asked them to call me back. No one called me back. Unacceptable, considering pulling my account. Generously gave them one star for answering the phone. Service has taken a nose dive, sad.

I went to the bank teller told her my card got lost. Since you can’t cancel it on the app. The bank never canceled. Proceeded to tell me to drive 30 minutes away to a different bank to get a temp card. Which I can’t since I’m working, so I’ll wait a week for my card to come in never comes in and they never ordered me a new one. This bank is so far in the past. So now I’m stuck with past due bills I’m switching banks after this

Buying a new home and moving can be a very stressful experience (overall). Wonderful experience with Sandy Spring! Jim T. is so good at explaining the mortgage application process, which can be complicated for someone who doesn't do it often. He and his team are also extraordinarily responsive and courteous. Any time I had a question, or needed updated numbers based on an offer I wanted to make, Jim was available to help. Senior loan processor Rebecca T. was also very helpful and easy to work with. I couldn't be happier!

I hope in 2023 you train your tellers, specifically Miss. Natasha, arguing with customers with the worst attitude in your bank's lobby over few hundred dollars and you found out that was your system or you can not read the $$ amount, and you voice your frustration aloud I think it is lack of confidence and trust on yourself. It is a shame
