I was charged $7.95 for 2 gallons of gas when I returned my rental. I had refueled the car at Sunoco 2.6 miles from drop-off , had lunch with my sister around the corner from drop-off location at Double T Diner for a total of 3.4 miles after filling the tank to maximum (more than when I picked it up).The rude female employee at the drop-off never mentioned the fuel charge or I would have gladly shown her the receipt and not had to waste my time this morning.In addition to this the car exterior was filthy with dirt and multiple large bird droppings and the wipers were bad.I have rented many cars from Hertz through AAA and never had a bad experience like this.

Run far far far away I rented from here due to a accident ended up keeping the rental longer not knowing that state farm would no longer pay I advised the representative Lucas that I didn’t have the extra money to pay at this moment that I would speak to statefarm try to get it situated and then give them a call back he stated I would get a slip of the amount due and someone would contact me also a nail was in the tire that I had no idea or they charged me an extra $150 for that over-drafted my bank account for $1400 now I have a legal battle against this hertz very nasty rude people working here as well hopefully once I’m done this place will be shut down!

We had to use this company through insurance due to a car accident. We returned the car on the correct day. We put the right amount of gas in the car. More than 18 days later mysteriously a 458 dollars charge shows up on my credit card. This is fraudulent. Don’t rent at this location.

The rental reservation process through chat was easy. When I picked up the vehicle it was dirty, had items in the car and smelled like weed. I know weed is legal but wow, the car smells.

I don't think I've ever been treated so badly as a repeat customer by any business, and I think I can say this is probably the worse experience I've had with any car rental location. I've reserved cars several times there and spent money for an Uber over there just to be told they don't have my car. And the customer service has to be the worse I've ever seen in my life. I'm really not sure what the story is with Jennifer, but she honestly acts as though she hates the job, the customers and she's being held there against her will. I have never seen her without a frown in all the times I've been there. The last time, I called 20 minutes before my scheduled pickup time to verify if they had my car so that I would not waste money for an Uber over there again. Jennifer tells me yes they do, then as the Uber is pulling up, she calls me back to tell me that they did not have it. And she says that the manager Lucas called me earlier in the day and when he didn't reach me, he gave the car to someone else. Which is odd because I never got a call or a voice message. I've called there to speak to the manager Lucas several times and he's never been there. Not sure who owns this Hertz or who actually manages it. Alot of the cars are beat up and dirty and I did not see them clean some of the cars between customers. Enterprise a few blocks up is professionally steps above this place and worth any extra cost. I would walk to DC before I ever rented from this Annapolis Hertz again.

Beware of using this Hertz location!!! We returned a rental car on a one-way from Philly with instructions to put the key in the drop box. No drop box is located at this location so, at the instruction of a Hertz “800” number rep, we left the car in the parking lot, took photos showing the time, kept the key, and returned on their next business day at 8 AM. The clerk listened to the circumstances, reviewed the photos, and immediately charged through 8 AM plus fees, tripling the original cost. She refused to correct the mistake. Use Enterprise just a few blocks away!!!!

NEVER AGAIN! Lucas left this office unattended with a handwritten note on the door saying he would be back at 2:50PM. He did not arrive until 3:30PM, and I along with one other customer were left waiting outside in the sun for Lucas to decide he wanted to work today. Then, Lucas informed me that the car I reserved wasn't available, even though it was clearly sitting on the lot outside. Then, he refused to take my business debit car, which can also be run as a credit card. RENT FROM ANYONE ELSE. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS.

I rented a car from them, head lights didn't work. Couldn't drive it at night and didn't have time to swap it out. Local manager ( Brian) said he would get me a rebate , but never came through. I called a number of times and no one ever answers. NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN !!!!

The management and staff were very efficient, helpful and understanding. I had a very good experience with Hertz and received top notch customer service including resolving a complicated issue. I would definitely rent here again! Thank you!

5 stars for the staff friendliness and willing to accomodate. This is a very small neighborhood site with limited vehicles, limited hours, and staffed accordingly. If you go in with that understanding, you will have a good experience.

Nightmare!!!!!!Had a vehicle breakdown, told by the local hertz office in Annapolis And I quote “ Call roadside assistance because when you take the car off the lot it’s your responsibility”OK four days later after the breakdown and no car replacement finally I get through to someone who had a brain at the roadside assistance line. The car gets picked up towed to wherever it gets towed to. And I am still getting phone calls telling me that my car rental is overdue! I am so over this!Not to mention they are asking me where the car is! I don’t know pictures of where it was dropped off unbeknownst to me!!Do not rent from Hertz! Get the app and rent from Turo!!! More than half the cost and no hassles!

Had a slow leaking tire on the car. There were 12 cars on the lot. Dark haired young guy working was in my opinion was Arrogant and unhelpful. Told us to take the car back to the airport. Unwilling to call the airport to check on a car. Unwilling to help with the problem whatsoever. The tire has a nail in the shoulder and needed replaced. Did that across the street. Getting reimbursed and hertz customer service was a whole different story! Go across the street to budget or anywhere else in Annapolis to get a car.

This was a true nightmare experience. After reserving a vehicle to travel for the holidays almost a month in advance, we arrived at the location on time, only to find a sign that stated “temporarily closed— sorry for the inconvenience.” We drove to a nearby alternate location who had no information. I called corporate and was on hold for 2 hours and was provided with no information or resolution to the problem.The customer service was rude and unhelpful. They saw it as my problem rather than their incompetence. After driving to BWI and back in search of another Hertz car, we finally went to Enterprise. The cost was double given the lack of notice, but at least the employees were kind and friendly. It was there that we find out there was a COVID outbreak at the Hertz a few days ago. No one had the decency to notify us that they could not fulfill our reservation.I have not been refunded my money yet by Hertz. If you want a reliable rental company, look elsewhere.
