Great practice super nice and attentive! But if you’re looking for something affordable this is not the place no doubt that they are the best , unfortunately we couldn’t afford to get our dog into surgery for his eye was way to much they were asking 1500 and we just couldn’t afford for that reason I give 4 stars I do recommend this place as they were super helpful on comforting our dog who was in pain .

I highly recommend Eye Care for Animals. Dr. Weight is wonderful. Our golden retriever puppy's tear duct had no opening and the other only had a very small opening. Her face was always wet and tear stains were terrible. Dr. Weight performed surgery and her problem was completely corrected. While our Gracie was recovering Dr. Weight even called to check on her. I can't say enough good things about them. I highly recommend and Thank you Dr. Weight and Staff. You're awesome!

If you need an eye specialist for your pet, this is the place to go. My dog lost his vision one day-it had been going- and with specialized care and follow up, he regained his vision. I realize all may not have the same outcome, but I am very happy we came here! It was a bit costly but worth every dollar just knowing he can see.

We were told we couldn't get an estimate until they examined him. Come to find out the estimate is $3.2k so we had to pay $253 in order to find out that we couldn't afford their services. Smh. They were really good about recommending other places in our price range though.

I brought my 12 year old Brussels Griffon, Gus, to Dr. Hyman after she developed cataracts due to diabetes. After several thorough consultations and collaboration with my primary care vet, she was cleared to have the cataract in her right eye removed. After two days of recovery, she began to develop her sight again. To see the confidence return to my sweet girl leaves me speechless. These past two years have been filled with difficulty and loss, but Dr. Hyman and the team at Eye Care for Animals were able to give me my dog back. I'm so grateful A special thanks to Kiara (sp?) who has always worked with me on scheduling and payment. You are excellent.

The doctors and staff at Eye Care For Animals have been wonderful in helping my shih tzu over the past few years. Each visit they take their time with her since she can be a difficult patient, and I know a lot of vets don't show the patience that these people do. Thank you for all you do, and for being such great people!

Began Visits in July 2020 (during Pandemic). On-going visits continue… (recent appointment June 14, 2021)The only reason it’s not at 5 stars is because of lengthy waits once we arrive for appointment and while our dog is being looked at and because of Pandemic, cannot go into facility, yet.Last year not only did we go thru a Pandemic I thought I would ever live through in my lifetime but our dogs eyes began to have serious issues.Prior to escalation of eye issues, she had been rubbing them for quite sometime. During home, primary vet visits we have never been told she has dry eye. Which is a condition for dogs. Maybe cats too! But we had been told to keep watch of her left eye bc it had 3 small ulcers.Upon returning from a trip, hubby calls to inform me daughter and he had to take our Sophia to Emergency Vet in Camden, De because her left eye became very disfigured and red. After visit and receiving steroid medication (warning: should not give to animals!) Her left eye seem to have gotten better. Dr. mentioned ulcers but did not pin point anything further. Just wanted our money! Again, this was at ER in Camden, de.Shortly after, Sophia’s right Eye became infected. Took her to another Delaware vet in Bear. Wow, what a great facility! They checked her and told us her right eye had an Ulcer and would burst at any moment. She needed eye surgery right away or she would lose her eye. It was devastating! They recommended a pet eye vet in Christiana (Newark), De but upon calling them, they would not be able to see her until end of August! Even though this was an emergency!I took it upon myself and began searching for Eye vets online. I found one in Annapolis, the facility I am currently reviewing in case I lost ya! This place is Sophia and our savior!I called them and told them situation. I pleaded Sophia’s case. The receptionist said to email her the situation again and send as many pictures of Sophia’s eyes. I sure did! Two days later, after Dr. Jennifer Hyman reviewed Sophia’s case, we had an appointment. The very next day, she had surgery on her right eye. Turns out she has a rare eye disease. She will eventually lose vision on both eyes. We visit this facility every 3-4 months for Sophia’s eyes to be checked. She is doing wonderfully for the most part. Yes, gradually losing vision but at least she has her eyes. The people at EC4A are amazing from the nurses or aids that come get Sophia to take her into facility, to receptionist and mainly the doctors! Thank you!

I recently had cataract surgery on my dog and the care and compassion Dr Weigt has provided is priceless! He is on the road to recovery and seeing again. Dr Weight has always been available to answer any quesitons or concerns and calm my anxiety about his recovery. I truly appreciate you DR!

Doctor Hyman and her staff are simply some of the most professional, calm, caring people. As you’re simply losing your mind because something is wrong with you fur baby and you need them fixed! I have an older lab, and no one in the area had the equipment necessary to scan behind her eye to see what was going on. I live about 2 hours away, but the drive was 100% worth it every time, and simply saved my dogs life. Dr.Hyman had to remove her left eye due to a massive tumor that had slowly been pushing her eye out of socket. As I was losing my mind pacing and uncontrollably emotional Dr.Hymans calm tone and expertise was able to talk me through what was going on and what needed to be done. There was constant communication. The following day, post surgery, on a Saturday evening Dr.Hyman called me to check in on Rylee. That call meant the world to me. She was able to talk me through a few question and reassure me as we underwent the recovery journey. I honestly cannot thank her and the staff enough for helping me through this time, and giving me additional precious time with my dog. Who is now a one eyed lab, getting around just fine and happy to still be here with the family. <3

We have been bringing our dog Maggie to see Dr. Hyman for the last four years, since she was a puppy. She has been awesome with her. We could have gone to a closer location but chose to go to the Annapolis location because of her reviews. We showed up yesterday, 6/16, for our long awaited appointment. We were told we did not have an appointment and that our appt. was on 6/22. Lynn, the scheduler, told me that there was no record of an appt. for 16th and she is the only one that schedules, hence my mistake. This morning, checking voicemails, I noted a message from Lynn on 6/15 at 12:51PM , from Eye Care for Animals confirming my 3:30 appointment on 6/16 and wanting to know if I could change it Monday the 22nd and to call her if I could. Well, I didn't call and would not have been able to change it. As any one knows who goes to Eye Care for Animals you wait some time for appointments and I take these scheduled visits seriously as Maggie has gone there every 3 to 6 months for the last 4 years. The office is 40 to 45 minutes from home and has been worth it because of the care Maggie has received but we will not be going back. Knowing that your appointments can be changed without your acknowledgement is unacceptable and Lynn takes absolutely no responsibility for her mistake, zero integrity. Dr. Hyman should have a scheduler that values pets and owners as much as she does. Very disappointing. I rate the Eye Care a 5 and customer service 1.Follow-up - 8 July 2020: Saw the reply from Dr. Hyman thanking me for talking to her, unfortunately the situation got even more insulting when the new doctor's office called for copies of Maggie's 4 years of records to be told that there was no record of Maggie being a patient there. The new office called me to be sure that she was seen in Annapolis and by Dr. Hyman. It took another call from the new office to get the records. I confirmed that the office spoke with Lynn. We absolutely made the right decision leaving this practice as the staff is so unprofessional.

We had a great experience here. We live 2 hours away and they were so accomating. Dr. Hynman did procedures so we wouldn't have to make so many trips. Our dog's eye injury/surgery was fixed in 2 visits and the cost ended up being $400 less than the estimate. We just can't say enough good things!! Our baby is healed!!!
