This five star review is for the staff and management. I had misplaced a personal item while shopping inside of the store. I couldn’t locate the item after retracing my tracks. Store personnel were very helpful in assisting me but we were unable to find the item. A couple days later I received a call from Vince that they found my item. He went above and beyond to ensure that the item made it to my house in NYC. I can’t thank them enough. Ps The store was very clean and well organized. Thanks again ?

Very nice place, always clean, but not open to the public, military oriented.

I usually do some shopping here and some out in town. A few things to touch base on that I've noticed.Always check the exp dates, typically I find a few items that are expired, so for someone who is in a rush they may not see it. The vegetables and fruits are usually hit or miss, usually more miss than anything. I've just stopped buying those here and prefer out in town. The baggers are super nice. I've chatted with a few of them as we walk to the car. My biggest concern is that they have to split a portion of their tips with the head bagger. How does that even make sense? What if that head bagger isn't there? He still gets a portion of their tips. Most of those baggers are school aged children who are saving their money. This is 100% absurd and should absolutely be stopped. For the people complaining about self-check out on Mondays, be happy that they're open on Mondays. They weren't always opened. If you don't want to scan your items yourself (and "not get paid for it") then you are more than welcome to go to another store. No one is making you self-check yourself out. That's your decision. Most of us appreciate the commissary just being opened on the day they are were always closed on.

Definitely a convenient location, definitely smaller than other commissaries but people don’t look at the military population for the area and don’t realize there isn’t a need for a larger commissary for the area especially since there’s a larger one 30 min away. Never have an issue finding anything we need. Employees are always super helpful and kind.

The commissary is always clean but it always seems understocked. I rarely find everything I need.

Very disappointing shopping trip to the commissary. Not only were very common food items unavailable ie Turkey Italian sausage, Chobani plain Greek yogurt, vegan cheese, but then we had to stand in line 30 minutes to check ourselves check ourselves out, with only 5 machines available. Another benefit being cut back on.

Having had the pleasure of shopping at many a commissary in my 30+ years with the Navy, I can honestly say some of the folks that work here have serious attitude problems and forget that they have jobs here to support the service members and their families who are either still serving or those whom have gone before us. Hey manager, do us all a favor and conduct some mission statement training with your employees and set some expectations accordingly. Other than that, the selection is satisfactory and prices are competitive. Not exactly a Bravo Zulu, but a good start.

Terrible management. Employees not helpful- they will pretend not to see you and walk away. Lack of variety. Few items, MUCH less selection than other comparable stores. Even in usual items, this store is OFTEN out-of-stock. And be sure to check expiration dates- frequently they sell expired items, especially diary. Isn't the cheapest either.

Place serves moldy food to military families. Just know thats whats going on. Meanwhile the only employees there make no money so they just profit, largely off of these families away from there homes.

Competitive if not lower prices. Efficiency is great.

Self checkout should not be allowed for a $300 checkout. Took forever, at least you could offer a discount to pay me for doing your work. Customer service line does not need to be backed up for a big order like this on a Monday, it was already backed up!

Medium sized commissary— good selection of meats. Good deli. FFV good, as well.Staff are generally helpful; Some go out of their way to help you find what you are looking for.

Might not be worth it. The "tax savings" are eliminated by user and access fees. The fees combined are greater than the normal 6% so if you find something that has a significantly better price than you would find at a regular store it might be worth it. My experience for items I normally buy, it's cheaper to not shop at this commissary. Only positive is that this location is not on post so you don't have to go through a gate but that's about the only "benefit".
