Worst car repair/maintenance experience I've ever had in over 35 years of driving. I would give 0 stars if I could, but Google requires at least 1 in order to post a review.
Picked up my vehicle after a timing chain replacement and had a massive oil leak as a result of the front main seal not being seated properly. After bringing the car back to get the seal fixed, I picked up the vehicle for the second time, only to find there was now a vacuum leak causing such severe misfiring the car was just about inoperable. Brought the car back in again, and upon the third pick up everything seemed ok until I performed the first post-repair oil change. That's when I discovered only 10 of the 15 bolts that hold the lower timing chain cover on had been replaced. I contacted the owner, who first suggested my block was only machined to receive 8 bolts for the timing chain cover, which is demonstrably false. First, there were 10 bolts present. Second, as soon as you take the cover off it's readily apparent the block has 15 threaded holes to receive 15 corresponding bolts. Heck, it's readily apparent even without taking the cover off. The owner then offered up that he had spoken at length with the "young man" who had performed the service, and that he insisted there weren't 15 bolts when I brought the car in. Assuming that were true (it's not), that begs the question: what kind of technician performing a $3000 timing chain replacement either doesn't see that 1/3 of the requisite bolts are missing, or sees that they are missing but chooses not to replace them because "they weren't there" when the vehicle was brought in? This is particularly salient since those bolts are supposed to be tightened in a specific sequence, and that's impossible to accomplish if even just one of them is missing. I've now replaced all of them, which dispels any notion of the block not being machined to receive 15 bolts. Most of the "timing chain kits" you can buy as a DIYer come with a new lower chain cover and new bolts, both of which are generally recommended, but I have no confidence CIS used either at this point.
If you're looking for a "dealership alternative" for your Audi, CIS isn't it. "The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of a low price has been forgotten." Avoid at all costs.

Veterans owned, Rick and his team are skilled, reasonably fair price, transparent with costumer centered mindset. I am very thankful that there are still some honest straight shooters out there. If you’re unsure what’s wrong with your vehicle you can rely on this team to help.

They were able to diagnose the problem and replace the defective sensors. They gave the car a thorough check ride. I am confident of their ability to tackle any issues that could come up in the future.

Incredible service, this team is honest and professional. They answered all of my questions and the end result was high quality.
We needed a transmission replacement for an older vehicle; I was able to get a quote and work with the shop (shout out to Frank!) to obtain a replacement part in our budget.
Vehicle was repaired on budget and in a reasonable amount of time. We also received clear and consistent communications about the status of the work. Would highly recommend this shop.

This shop has responsive and knowledgeable managers /owner and skilled mechanics. Communications are strong, especially by text. Easy after hours drop off AND pick up (by lock box). The repair estimates are impressively detailed. Been here twice, for a pre-purchase inspection of a car (they spotted some red flags) and for the rehab of the front suspension of my daily commuter car (dries smooth as silk now). My take away from my experience with Chesapeake Import Service: when I want topnotch service and am willing to pay for it, that’s the place. (They do have a generous “loyalty points/rewards” scheme.)
7/12/24 Update: This week had two cars in for servicing (European and Japanese). The service advisor’s (Frank) generosity in sharing his expertise is praiseworthy. And he just recommends what is definitely needed.

As always, a great job! When the wrong parts were delivered, Rick and his team went the extra mile to track down the correct ones. Thanks to their efforts, my 49-year-old TR6 is running great!
