This is my favorite local garden shop. Why go to a big box store for your garden and lawn needs when you can shop local. Thos place has everything, and then some you need to keep up with the Jones'. Indoor, outdoor plants, vegetables, herbs, and lawn decorations are all within their scope and fancy. Staff is super helpful and friendly.

I bought 3 River Burch trees from this business in 2020 and also paid to have them delivered and planted. When they were delivered the young trees looked sparse; however, I trusted the company knew what they were doing. One tree died within the year while the other two flourished. I called and spoke to the owner about the issue and he gave several excuses as to why he would be unable to help me for at least a month. He asked me to email him pictures, which I did, and he never responded after that. I called and emailed several times requesting a replacement or a refund but the owner never responded. There are plenty of other options in the area so I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

I was underwhelmed by this place. The prices are high and not particularly competitive. The plant selections are OK, with some good finds, but you won't find anything unique or special here that you couldn't find elsewhere for less. The staff is segregated into elderly gift store ladies and garden center workers--do not ask the gift store ladies about anything outside their doors. The garden center staff basically evaporates after Halloween and the plant yard is kind of a wasteland until they sell out of overpriced chrysanthemums. Things are organized haphazardly both inside and out--in the building, which I term a gift shop, there are a lot more decoration and beauty product junk than gardening supplies. In the yard, there is very little work put into extra descriptions of plants beyond the tag, or any kind of expression of expertise or thoughtfulness that lead them to carry a species or cultivar--even in summer, I've almost never seen any garden center staff out in the yard to answer questions or make suggestions. I'm kind of shocked by the high rating, I can only assume it's due to the lack of serious competition in the immediate area. I always go to Bay Ridge Nursery and Riva Gardens first.

Nursery is well stocked with healthy plants, fertilizers, tools and pest controls. Pricing is somewhat lower than I've seen at competitors. Gift shop has a nice variety of offerings. Foliage house plants weren't abundant, but they were in good condition and well priced. There are also supplies to take care of our feathered friends.
