I will sorely miss Dr. Longo. I worked in a Veterinary hospital as a teenager and was involved in the medical treatment room and surgery suite. I went on to a career in people medicine. I known many Veterinarians and Dr. Longo made the greatest impression on me. Skilled, emphatic and no nonsense. This practice is superlative. Highly recommended.

I've been looking for a new vet in the area since ours recently retired and with covid it's been difficult to find a vet accepting new patients. I had a check-up appt scheduled at another vet office for next week but my dog got really sick a couple days ago. I tried to get him in sooner with the vet I made the appt with and they brushed me off and said they didn't have time and just referred me to the emergency vet. Everywhere I called was at full-capacity and everyone turned me away besides Bay Ridge. They were about to close and said if we could wait they could squeeze us in the next day at 5. I was so relieved but I remained worried that if his condition worsened we'd have to go to the er. The following morning I received a call, vm and text from Bay Ridge letting me know they could get him in even earlier. I was pleasantly surprised by the great customer service since most places are hit or miss these days. I can't thank them enough for making time for him and making us feel welcome. We saw Dr. Stern and she was thorough, knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. I highly recommend Bay Ridge Animal Hospital and we will be coming here from now on!

I'd like to give a service review and customer treatment Review. I've had dogs all my life and I have a new puppy and I have taken him over to Bay ridge clinic 3 or 4 different times 4 different times. They are rude one person doesn't talk to the other person doctor Longo was grossly out of line by suggesting that I had the audacity to ask for some medication in the same day when I didn't even know that that was a rush. That's all they had to say we can't get it done today that's all they had to say but they're defensive argumentative and dwarfs place I've ever been I would never want anybody to go there horrible.

We recently moved to the area and our Weimaraner contracted kennel cough. Bay Ridge graciously worked us into a same day afternoon appointment. Dr. Wozniak was wonderful, explained everything and treated our boy with care and compassion. The staff was very professional and polite. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Non apologetic, unprofessional, bad customer service. It's unfortunate that I need to write this review for Bay Ridge. When we first started taking our pup here they were good, seemed professional. We scheduled a spay for our pup 2 months out to be sure there were no scheduling conflicts as we had trips planned. They called 1 week before the scheduled time and said they could no longer do the spay date that was scheduled and we had the option of our pup coming in the very next day (of course we couldn't do that because we had the trips planned for the month) or we had to wait another entire month to get her in... No apology, not sincere, didn't even care that they had messed up the scheduling. We switched to a different vet that has better customer service and actually cares for our pup... not just another number on a messed up scheduling system....

I have been bringing my cat to Annapolis Cat Hospital for four years, since we moved to Annapolis. I do love the idea that their dog and cat waiting areas are completely separate. When a cat is in an exam room, they can hear dogs barking in the back of the joined suites, but they are not confronted with dogs up close. Today, we had an appointment for an annual exam and rabies vaccination. Sadly, with the pandemic precautions, owners cannot accompany their pets inside (this is true in most places). So you call and wait for someone to come out. I only wish you could text so you had faster communication. When I called to say I had arrived and was waiting outside, I chose #1, per the instructions, to announce my presence. But twice, it just rang through to voice mail. They did send someone out after about ten minutes. I guess I could easily have waited the same amount of time if I were able to go in to the waiting area. The whole visit took about 20 minutes, cost $98, we got a good report, and then we were on our way. ( Just to clarify, I have been very happy with the caring service my pet has received).

Absolutely love Bay Ridge Animal Hospital. They are extremely helpful and supportive. My fiancé and I are looking to move overseas and I’m in the process of getting both my cat and puppy up to date and everything taken care of to eliminate as much of the quarantine process as I can. These accredited veterinarians are amazing and are there to answer any questions I have. Would definitely recommend to anyone new to the area or looking for a new vet!

I can't believe I failed to write a review for such an amazing veterinary practice. Dr. Longo and Dr. Wozniak are both knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. They've been treating our cats for several years now. You can tell how much they both adore cats. I love that they talk to them as they are examining them and do their best to put them at ease. They're concerned with the physical comfort of the cats, as well. For example, our siamese has arthritis and they always make sure to put a fluffy towel down so she has a soft surface to lie on, and handle her with utmost care when they have to move her. One of our boys is a bit cranky at the vet (I swear, he's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde...such a sweetie at home but turns into a demon once he walks out the door). Some vets have approached him with obvious fear and trepidation. Dr. Wozniak handles him like she has great respect for those claws and teeth, but still doesn't let them intimidate her or keep her from doing what she needs to do. She has suggested gabapentin to calm him down and reduce his stress level, so we may be giving that a shot soon. I feel like they don't suggest procedures that don't need to be done, and always seem to discuss the pros and cons of any meds or procedures that are suggested. Our home is over 20 minutes away and we have 2 other vets less than 5 minutes away, but we will continue to bring our cats here because we feel that they get the best care possible at this practice. Highly recommended.

I drive by numerous vets to get to Bayridge because in the close to a decade I've worked with Dr Elise, I knew I'd follow her. Starting with my wondrous ancient kitty who lived to be 19 to my 5 month old kitten. I trust her implicitly. 7-ish years ago, my dog presented with a weird hodge-podge of minor issues (leg stiffness, cough, lethargic) and she was the only vet who didn't look at me like I was an idiot when I said, "she's not wagging her tail". She did research on her own as more symptoms progressed and she found the immune disease that was causing all the problems. She was medicated and we've had many happy years. October 31, 2018 not wagging again. Yes, this is THAT big of a deal for this dog. Bayridge got me right in. Dr Elise recognized it was pretty severe and sent us for surgery consult. Gathered all the information and first thing I asked was to call Dr Elise. Throughout the years I have learned she'll tell me all the options from let's try this to the most aggressive. She presents all the options equally and you never feel like one answer's better, it's what is best for your situation and your animal. I foster and I've brought in those dogs and stole my sister's dog to get a growth removed that her vet said was inoperable. He lived many more happy years after it was gone. We've worked through multiple cats/dogs aging, cancer-treatments, immune diseases, liver abscesses, the crush of losing them along with the happiness that comes when you fall in love with another fuzzy face. She's a part of our family through her dedicated care and unfailing love of animals. To this day, if you ask my dog if she want to go see Dr Elise she's at the door wagging. A wholly accurate assessment of how we both feel about her.
