My husband, Norm, and I turned to Lisa for help in purchasing a desk and reorganizing his office space. Not only did Lisa find some suggestions for a desk, but she developed three dimensional views of the space. These designs enabled us to envision a number of possibilities for utilizing the space that were both aesthetically pleasing and efficient.. She is conscientious, thorough and a pleasure to work with.

I just stopped in to check out the studio in Oxford, Maryland. What a great sense of aesthetic! Looking to have some pieces updated and I am looking forward to the finished project. Lisa completely understands the "look" and the need for function.

Barefoot Dwelling did a really great job renovating our 1900s cottage with period architectural details, lighting and fixtures. Lisa is committed to quality and craftsmanship and makes sure the work reflects the character and history of the home. She also added small details throughout that pulled all of the rooms together.Services: Bathroom design

The store is such a unique and fun place. It offers design services and sells industrial and MCM items of a variety of price. I've shopped there several times and was always very pleased with the service, price, and quality. Plus cute dog store mascot!

I purchased a side table from Lisa off her website then went to go pick up at her shop in Annapolis. She's super friendly and knowledgeable and has a great eye for style. I plan on swinging back through next time I'm in Annapolis.

I never leave reviews. But I'm giving this place a 1/5 because that's how many times I've actually been able to get into this store. Once. Out of five. My wife and I have driven to this store on 4 occasions hoping to find some pieces for our home. Each time we arrived, they were closed. We tried different days of the week. Closed. We tried different times on those different days. Closed. We tried calling the number listed to see if they were going to be open today. No response. Keep in mind, every time that we went to Annapolis, the hope was to visit this store. We live 45 min away so that isn't a quick trip. What's frustrating is we really liked what we saw the first and ONLY time we were in there. I'm no businessman, but you gotta be open to stay open. Boop.

Buyer beware. We found this little shop by accident. After going in and looking around we found that they had some pretty neat stuff. They claim to be a "vintage" shop that specializes in "re-purposing". To keep a long story short, we picked out a piece that seemed pretty useful. However after getting it home and unwrapped, the door immediately fell off because what was supposed to be a teak desk was a teak veneer over particle board. Upon a little closer inspection what was supposed to be a mid century piece, turned out to be more like stained ikea furniture. After speaking with what I presume to be the owner, I was told they do not accept returns, and that they knew the piece had issues although they had not disclosed to me what they were, or that it had any at all. It was explained to me that they don't accept returns. Which is fine, although I did not see that posted anywhere in the shop. I asked if perhaps there was anything that could be done, and the response was I could get a credit towards something else. I asked about having them fix the piece, but was directed towards a third party at my expense. After spending a few hundred dollars there I was a little surprised. I'm not one to throw good money after bad, nor would I want to buy anything else from a place that seems to thrive on misdirection. I would not recommend this place, however if you do go, make sure to really look hard at what you're buying, and negotiate accordingly.

My wife and I moved into a new house and were looking for a bunch of pieces for the living room and kitchen. We visited Barefoot Dwelling and met Lisa who owns and operates the business. She was super sweet, accommodating and has curated a unique and beautiful collection of home goods. We ended up buying seven pieces from her, including the stool she was sitting on! She was able to tell us the history of many of the pieces and even offered a discount when we found a small water stain. We've outfitted the house so I'm not sure when we'll be back but we're happy to recommend checking out this place if you're looking for something different.
