There is a reason why Bacons receives almost 100% 5 star reviews and it is because they have striven for decades to serve the sometimes difficult, picky and impecunious (aka "cheap" myself included) boating public--and they deliver! I have been a customer as well as a consignor for decades and while I happily find the place and the staff often quirky and idiosyncratic, I have enjoyed shopping there, found many great deals and received good return on my many consigned items. The store has changed and greatly improved over the years but they cannot be all things for every boater or sailor, and sometimes I even wonder about their processes and model....but we customers that appreciate their eclectic and ever-changing stock, as well as their expanding selection of new-items and who also appreciate the vast knowledge and experience of their longtime staff are among the most satisfied boaters anywhere. They are service oriented and customer-focused.

You have to love this place. Kind and knowledgeable people, what you need and hard to find (old and antique) all in one place. Got my sails and hardware then , fiberglass and gelcoat materials from them when and the day I needed them. quite the treasure trove of goods in Annapolis. Thank you guys.

Here's an idea..update your website. Yelp says you're open til 4 on Saturday. Your sign on the door says 2. Not especially customer oriented.

I purchased a used sail from them.Three days before it was to be shipped, I tried to contact them to say that I needed to cancel the order. I told them I was willing to pay for any financial loss they may have incurred. They never responded to me and shipped even after I gave them three days notice and a legitimate reason why I needed to cancel. I still have not gotten a response from them.
