The Truxtun Penguins Swim Club reserved the Merrill Family Pavilion for our End-of-Season Party this past July. It was an absolutely lovely experience! The pavilion is gorgeous with its stone fireplace, wrought iron chandeliers and views of Back Creek and the lush woods. It's also amazingly spacious and has many convenient features including effective and inviting lighting, ceiling fans, a wheelchair ramp, and tons of electrical outlets for the deejay and projecting our team video.. Finally, the Annapolis Maritime Museum staff were very friendly, responsive and helpful both leading up to and during the party. Our swimmers and families made wonderful memories celebrating at the Pavilion!

This is a wonderful sight for concerts. We arrived by boat and enjoyed the food trucks and a fantastic band.

We booked the Fireworks from the Bay cruise on the historic skipjack, the Wilma Lee. It could not have been more fun. The captain and crew told us all about the history of the vessel & the history of skipjacks working on the Bay as oyster boats. They served drinks and snacks (a nice variety of beers, wine, hard seltzer, plus bagged chips and individual charcuterie boxes). We saw an amazing sunset, a visiting Argentinian frigate, the Bay Bridge, and we had a front row seat for the fireworks. This is the best cruise experience in Annapolis.

My daughter and granddaughter invited me along on their field trip, and it was excellent. The parking is pretty iffy because it is not very clear where to park. We were able to go into the museum to use the facilities which were very clean and roomy. The museum was closed to the public this Monday. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The field trip group was then led down to the dock where we boarded a large boat and was treated to a tour around the harbor for approximately 45 minutes. We had an awesome time!

I was a chaperone for a 6th grade field trip. It was a beautiful windy day. The staff members were knowledgeable about oyster, crabs and other animals. I learned about the different tool they use to harvest oysters. We got to ride on a skipper one of the last remaining ones. We got to even help the oyster community grow. I enjoyed this trip and really learned a lot. I don't remember the cost because I paid a month in advance to go with the school.

The most beautiful wedding venue in Annapolis! We are so grateful for this space and the warm and unique environment it provided for our NYE wedding! The staff truly makes your dreams come true, and the world is your oyster (pun intended!) when it comes to design. Thank you, AMM!

What a fantastic little museum in Annapolis! The environmentally conscious museum places a lot of focus on the impact of harvesting oyster and other marine life from the Chesapeake Bay. Through educational and fun activities, the museum offers visitors a glimpse of history over the last 50-60 years.

Recently spent an enjoyable couple hours sailing the Annapolis harbor/Chesapeake Bay with Captain Rick on the Maritime Museum's skipjack Wilma Lee. Cap'n Rick generously shared his extensive knowledge of the Bay and Annapolis. Learned that the Wilma Lee (a former working oyster boat) was one of 23 skipjacks remaining from a one-time fleet of 1200. The Museum exhibits were informative & interesting.

We took the sunset cruise aboard the restored Chesapeake Bay skipjack Wilma Lee and it was fantastic. Sailing aboard the historic Wilma Lee was enough of a treat but we were lucky to have a beautiful evening with a nice breeze to fill the sails. Captain Rick and his able crew were an added touch with informative commentary and great hospitality.

My family and I had a great experience on the Heritage cruise, sailing on the Wilma Lee. The crew were very friendly and knowledgeable; we all learned a little something. Was nice to be out on the water looking at Annapolis and the other boats. Our teenage kids got to hoist the sail. Definitely recommend.

It's small but they pack a lot of interesting history of the area into it and it's quiet. The displays are well thought out and some are interactive. The people are friendly and just like wandered over to give me extra facts about the place. There was also a very friendly cat. I have no idea whose cat it was but it followed me around and let me pet it so that was a plus.

A little small, but this quaint museum is worth a visit when you are in Annapolis. I enjoyed learning the history of the Chesapeake and seeing the visuals on how the water quality was affected over time. They had a lot of interactive pieces to keep you entertained throughout the tour. There are also some ships to show you the size/build of different vessels. Definitely something to see once.
