“After over 20 years of going to another veterinary clinic with my present champion show dog and earlier with his mother, also a champion, I decided to try Family Veterinary Clinic. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have to wait the hour to 2 hours I previously typically waited past my appointment time at another clinic. Here I was promptly seen right on time. The facility is clean, spacious and pleasant. The office staff was courteous and helpful. The doctor was very knowledgeable and reassuring. She called me the next day with test results. I was very pleased with my experience and will be returning to this clinic going forward.”

“Dr. Wolf, Bess, Laurie, and the rest of the team were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! ♥️ We brought our cat to VCA due to an illness that needed urgent attention/treatment and they got us in the very next morning on a Saturday (even though we had never been here before and I called them late Friday evening). They also worked with us on the finacial side and we were able to get our cat the medications she desperately needed to get back to her healthy, happy self! She's back to doing all the things-- lounging, basking in the sun, eating, purring, and licking her plastic bags! THANKS VCA of Columbia!!! ?”

The cat was stressed in her carrier and had an accident... was bad, and I felt embarrassed. But the team made me feel so much better. Most times we are done with our annual check up in 20 min. or less. Plus they are very responsive for prescriptions, shot verifications and appointments. Great option for locals and others in the surrounding area.”

“I will preface that I am a veterinarian myself (no longer in practice). I am so impressed by this dental clinic. My 12 yr old (at the time, 13 now) dog had multiple difficult to remove teeth removed and they did a wonderful job. Service was wonderful! They are forward thinking for your pet. What you have done is in the thought of the future for your pet. They are true specialists! Cannot recommend any higher. I am on Google and please feel free to contact me if you want more details. “Have been a client of VCA Columbia Animal Hospital at Hickory RIdge for over a year now. Turns out several of my dog training friends also go to Dr. Kelso as their veterinarian. She is very experienced, knowledgeable, listens to all my questions and concerns, and is a wonderful combination of expertise and warmth. I am a retired physician so I have lots of questions. Dr. Kelso is patient and allows me to ask questions of the treatment plan so that we can come to something that we are both comfortable with. Both my rescue mixes compete in various dog sports and Dr. Kelso understands the demands of that, being a competitive handler herself. Completely satisfied and pleased with Dr. Kelso as our primary vet. Saw Dr. Moldenhauer for an emergency allergic reaction visit and she was reassuring and took good care of my dog. The support staff and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this practice.”
“I took my newly adopted kitty here for her post adoption wellness exam. The overall experience was wonderful. The facility is clean, bright, and comfortable. Check-in was seamless, and Chickadee's checkup went very well. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. Dr. Wenzel took time to answer all my questions and offered a lot of great info/care tips. Would love to keep going here for primary care for Chicka, but it is a great deal of a distance from where I live ? and wish they were closer. I will definitely keep this place in mind as an alternative.”
“We take our three dogs to Countryside, and have worked with every vet there now during the past three years. Always very happy with the above and beyond service from the vets, the techs, and the front of the house staff who are friendly and helpful every visit. I almost hate referring people to Countryside because they are frequently busy and it can be a challenge to get appointments - although on several occasions now when one of my dogs has an immediate problem they have accommodated us for same-day visits. We trust them with the lives of our cherished ladies - I'm not sure there can be a higher compliment than that.”

“A.P.A.W. is nothing less than an Outstanding Veterinarian Hospital and Wellness Center. Why? They are caring, loving and super attentive to our furry beloveds and treat them as if they are their own. Not to mention their outstanding bedside manners: Specifically, in 2022, we lost one of our beloveds, our Joseph, quite unexpectedly and A.P.A.W. was simply exceptional in responding to our loss and taking care of his precious body. Presently, our Bless'ED is now a senior, and we believe he is still alive largely because of the care and love provided by A.P.A.W. for approximately 12+ years. They have cared for him from approximately 2yrs., of age and through many sicknesses. Truly, "All" staff from the Veternarians to the Technicians are knowledgable, professional and sensitive to their clients from humans to our furry beloveds. Think about this, ALL medical services are expensive regardless, and gee, staff are humans providing life extending services. Be realistic with your expectations and please, do not believe the negatives, A.P.A.W. is truly superb and this customer has had many experiences to compare and state with authority!”

“I can’t possibly say enough wonderful things about this place! It’s at least a 45 min drive from where we live, but we’ll never go anywhere else. Our dog just had her second surgery there and although we missed her dearly that night, we slept fine knowing she was in the very best hands. They call frequently to give updates (the surgeon even called before and after surgery to tell us how she was doing!!) The rest of the staff is equally amazing and you can call anytime for questions, concerns, or just to see how your pet is doing! Our rescue doggy (Angel) means the world to us, and I promise I wouldn’t write such a long message if they were just mediocre. They are, in fact, the best!”
