Large store with a pharmacy and gas station. More selection than Aldi and better prices than Wegmans. The bakery is delicious and a good produce selection.

Let me start by saying, I've been a loyal Abingdon Giant customer for over 25 years. That relationship ends today! When I asked for assistance in purchasing a cupcake, the manager, Will stated, "there is no one to assist you". I was shocked that no one could assist me in getting a cupcake out of the display and I even asked, are you kidding and the response was once again, "there is no one to help you". WOW!!! great customer service! Maybe Will should read Giant's mission statement, which states, we are for our customers and reflect that without customers, he would not have a job!!!

This use to be our go to store. For atleast the last year it is just a hassle to go there. Between shutting the doors on the one side to the self checkout. We went the other day against my better judgment and we had 25 items. We went to the self checkout, guy yells at me we have to many items mean while they only had 2 cashiers with long lines. I said we will be done and gone by the time we get waited on with the cashier. He got very indignant and told me he will not allow it. So we go in cashier line and 50 minutes later we get to leave. I won't go back. Wegmans has this store beat in everything. Don't see Giant lasting much longer like this. It's sad because like I said my whole family used this Giant religiously.

This store has gone downhill. I shopped here every week for 17 years and will no longer. 2 cashiers and I had 25 items and was refused to go through self check out. Had to stand in line for 20 minutes when there was 1 person in self check out. Trying to eliminate shop lifting, I get. But hire more cashiers then. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. I'll go to wegmans and pay a little more and get more respect.

Good prices on ginger ale. But store layout more cramped than Wegmans, fruit & produce not as fresh, & many prices a little higher.

The self checkout is flawed and always has issues. Which should make some of the employees just standing at the front checkout people instead of passing judgement and always being wrong

I was racially profiled at the self checkout line, Lady at the self checkout line, look through my whole cart and embarrass me in front of my kids. I will never shop at the store again.

I have to give a big shout out to Terry at the Abingdon Giant Pharmacy, i happened to be the very first person to utilize the “ pay for your prescription online” through the GiantRX app, the staff wasn’t notified that you can now do that and it caused some confusion. Terry was awesome, kept her cool and very professional. She allowed me to show her step by step on my phone how I completed the request. Even showed her how it give delivery options as well. Together we figured out how to get the prescriptions to come up on her register & everything worked out perfectly. Got all 5 of my prescriptions and went on with my day! Thank you again Terry for keeping your cool and remaining pleasant through this new learning experience! Giant has a real asset with you over in the pharmacy.
