Love the staff, they treat your pet as if he’s their own. They are very courteous and compassionate to your pet’s needs.

I have been going to Banfield since I got my first cat 6 years ago. I used to love them. However as of lately my last two appointments were horrible. My one cat had an asthma related fit while having blood drawn and instead of handling it there they advised me to go to the er vet which cost $700 to diagnose him with asthma, something they informed me could have been diagnosed at my normal vet. Then when I went to banfield for my next visit I asked them to at least comp their nail trim for the trauma they put both my self and my cats through from the last visit (a $40 cost) and was immediately told no they were unable to do that since the last visit was months ago. I dealt with it but then to make it worse they inform me they have never put the records in from my second cat from his old vet and need me to try and retrieve those records again. They also failed to inform me that I would need to bring a fecal sample to my appointment until I had already arrived. Expecting me to go back home to retrieve this then bring it back on my own time and gas. Keep in mind I received two calls reminding me of my appointment prior to with out communicating this. I have become severely displeased with the service I have received here these last two visits and it truly puts a sour taste In my mouth.

Our tuxedo cat was not happy going to the Vet for his shots. Dr. Aylward and staff was able to get the job done despite his aggression. Last visit at the other Banfield in Belair was not successfu,l but having a prescription for his anxiety helps!.

Went to refill my Cats revolution. He is an inside cat. Never had a problem with getting revolution in the last seven years. All of a sudden they want him to have a heartworm test that is a money grab he is an indoor cat. I have never had anymore ask for a heart worm test for a cat before I can understand a dog. Absolutely ridiculous.

After waiting 16 hours to get into a Vet ER Sunday into Monday and never getting seen then calling my regular vet to find out they couldn't fit my dog in I reached out to Banfield in abingdon. My puppy was bitten by a other dog and I couldn't wait much longer to get him looked at. I've never been to this Vet before but without hesitant they told me to bring him right in. I brought him in and everyone was so kind and helpful, all of the staff, doctors and Vet techs. They were upfront about pricing and assured me he was in very capable hands. They took him to surgery right away and called me as soon as he woke up. If they didn't help when they did my dog would have gotten sicker. I'm am forever greatful for them. Thank you for helping Frankie and treating him as your own!

My dogs have gone to Banfield for years. Great service and the staff is very good. They are located in many states if you are traveling. The wellness plan covers all shots and exams. I've recommended Banfield to family and friends.

We used to love Banfield. Our dogs had been patients there, on the top tier wellness plan, for about ten years. After Dr. Lewis left, it has gone completely downhill.Despite paying for a plan where my dogs were supposedly able to be seen at any time, Banfield never had any openings. My dog had developed a rash and was having trouble walking. Banfield insisted they didn't have any availability for about 2 months. We begged to have him seen. When we brought him in, the vet did not do an X-ray or a culture and simply proceeded to tell us it was likely cancer. She gave him antibiotics (with no culture) and sent us on our way with instructions to "see if the antibiotics help at all and if not, we can test for cancer." My dog, quickly. became very ill with vomiting and increased difficulty walking. Banfield again told us they didn't have availability to see him. I took my dog elsewhere and the veterinarian at that location immediately performed X-rays, a culture, treated his nausea, and tested for cancer. Low and behold, he did not have cancer!!! The rash we initially brought him to Banfield with, was a staph infection that unnecessarily got very severe due to lack of appropriate treatment. Also, the culture taken by the new vet revealed that the antibiotic prescribed by Banfield was ineffective to the staph.Needless to say, we never went back to Banfield. I explained everything that happened and requested to cancel my Wellness Plan. Even though the vet did not treat my dog appropriately, falsely suggested that he had cancer, and the fact that my dog would have passed away had I not sought veterinarian care elsewhere, Banfield insisted I owed them the remaining contract fees for the Wellness Plan --- $175.00. What a stand up company!Do your dog a favor and do not bring them here.

My dog had a traumatic experience with friendly paw in Aberdeen and I hadn't taken him anywhere for a while. He started having hip issues so I reached out to Banfield and they were awesome. My faith has been restored. My dog is like my child if he hurts I hurt. We will be going back

Makes their appointments too close together can't accommodate for a 10 minute late. Banfield has enough issues this is something they can control. All of Banfield gets one star.
