Fantastic new store bringing what is becoming a popular shopping from Germany to the US. The bakery is the plus so far in the initial visit. Bringing popular European style breads is very welcomed.
Produce was all fresh and reasonably priced and well stocked.
Staff were very attentive and working through the 'new store' issues with ease
However on the initial review of German/European products available from this German brand store was underwhelming. Just through brand awareness it was thought to be one of the highlights. I particularly hoped in the opening weeks for a higher quantity of products even as specials to draw traffic and attention. I hope this is temporary issue and that 'themed' weeks like the competitors will bring more selection in the future.

My wife and I are new customers. We have been there three times. Love shopping there. But we won’t be back because of self check out. What a nightmare. Sorry

Had an interview there the manager said we dont leave ppl hanging we let them know if they get the job or not so i emailed 2 ppl to find out where my application stands in the company and no one can even take the time to message you back

The prices were close to Aldi. We liked the diversity of choices. If we based our coming back on that alone we would but...the self check-out was brutal. I think it would be fair to say it was traumatizing. "Place item into holding area" every time an item was scanned and it was loud! That gets real old after the first few scans. Every other item wouldn't scan. "Do you need help" button pops up. I know one might think this sounds a little petty but standing there and being bombarded by this and it taking 3 times as long to get through the checkout, in my opinion, is too much. We'll go back sometime but it won't be any time soon.

Was disappointed. Had few items on sale but rest priced higher than Aldis which is accross the street. Lines were long. Meat cases were empty.

Aberdeen Lidl used to be fairly decent store, to pick up a few essentials, USED to be is what I said. I mean until they inherited, hired and/or drew the short straw somehow acquired the dirty, Red Neck, Blonde they now have as a Evening manager. She has very loud, unfavorable, conversations about people in her store then gets offended when you join in and frankly becomes rude to you. Well, if she doesnt want input then don't have such large volume, obnoxious conversations for all to hear. She is ill placed in the position she holds at Aberdeen Lidl. If this was a one time occurrence I would think nothing of it everyone has a bad day. This has become the norm when she is there. Sorry to I will be taking ALL my business to the nearby Walmart from now on and recommending EVERYONE else to do so also! One more item she really should learn how a washer dryer and iron operate her uniform is always filthy wrinkled and totally unkept look for a managerial position. If I could give you negative stars I would have in this case. I work at an extended stay hotel where I am able to recommend grocery shopping options in the area, take a guess what store just got got REMOVED from my list of options to these guests?!?!
